Love In The Apartment episode 10

LOVE IN THE APARTMENT
EPISODE 10

Alex woke up to the sound of Emily stirring beside him. He opened his eyes to find her looking up at him, a confused expression on her face.

“Alex?” she whispered. “What are you doing here?”

Alex smiled, trying to play it cool. “You were drunk last night, and I didn’t want to leave you alone.”

Emily’s eyes widened as memories of the previous night came flooding back. “Oh no,” she groaned. “I was so embarrassing.”

Alex chuckled. “You were actually kind of adorable.”

Emily’s face turned bright red as she sat up, trying to process what had happened. Alex got out of bed, trying to give her some space.

As they went to the kitchen, Jamie was already making breakfast in the kitchen. “Morning, you two,” he said with a knowing smile.

Emily glared at him. “Shut up, Jamie.”

Alex laughed. “I think we can safely say that Emily’s not a morning person.”

Jamie grinned. “That’s an understatement.”

As they ate breakfast, Emily couldn’t help but steal glances at Alex. She couldn’t believe what had happened the night before.

And as they finished up and Alex started to clear the dishes, Emily realized that she was falling for him and she loved the feeling…

As Alex turned to put the dishes in the sink, Emily caught his eye. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable.

Jamie, oblivious to the moment, kept talking. “So, what’s the plan for today?”

Alex broke eye contact with Emily, turning back to Jamie. “I don’t know, man. What did you have in mind?”

Jamie shrugged. “I was thinking we could hit the beach. It’s supposed to be nice out and also Emily can clear her head.”

Emily nodded, trying to sound casual. “Yeah, that sounds great.”

Later on , they dressed up and went out ,

As they headed out to the beach, Emily couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement. She couldn’t wait to spend the day with Alex, to see if there was a chance for something more between them.

As they soaked up the sun and played in the waves, Emily found herself laughing and smiling more than she had in weeks. And every time she caught Alex’s eye, she felt a spark of connection.

As the day wore on, Jamie suggested they take a break and grab some lunch. As they walked off the beach, Alex fell back beside Emily.

“Hey,” he said, his voice low. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”

Emily nodded, her heart racing. “Yeah, sure.”

Alex stopped, turning to face her. “I wanted to talk to you about last night,” he said, his eyes searching hers.

Emily’s heart skipped a beat. What was he going to say?…

Alex started to say something to Emily, but Jamie called out, “Hey, guys! Let’s go grab lunch at that new eatery opposite the beach .”

Alex nodded, and they followed Jamie to the eatery. As they walked in, Emily spotted Sandra sitting at a table, laughing with a group of friends.

Sandra caught sight of them and waved them over. “Hey, guys! Join us!”

As they sat down, Emily couldn’t help but notice how cozy Sandra looked with her friends. And when Alex sat down next to Sandra, Emily felt a pang of jealousy, she thought he would sit beside her,

Sandra started chatting with Alex, touching his arm and giggling at his jokes. Emily watched, feeling left out and annoyed.

Jamie, oblivious to the tension, chatted with Sandra’s friends, enjoying himself.

As they ordered lunch, Sandra leaned over and whispered something in Alex’s ear. He smiled and whispered back, and Emily felt her jealousy spike.

What were they talking about? And why did Alex look so comfortable with Sandra?

As they waited for their food, Emily excused herself to go to the bathroom. As she washed her hands, she couldn’t help but feel frustrated. Why did Alex always seem to be drawn to Sandra?

When she returned to the table, Alex was laughing with Sandra, and Emily felt broken…

As they finished lunch and prepared to leave, Sandra touched Alex’s arm again. “Hey, Alex, can I talk to you for a minute?”

Alex nodded, and they stepped outside, leaving Emily and Jamie at the table.

Emily watched through the window, feeling a knot in her stomach. What were they talking about now?

Jamie noticed her gaze and followed it to Alex and Sandra outside. “Don’t worry, Em,” he said. “Alex is a big boy. He can handle himself.”

But Emily couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was losing Alex to Sandra.

When Alex returned, Sandra waved goodbye and left with her friends. Alex sat down, looking oblivious to Emily’s frustration.

“Ready to head back to the beach?” Jamie asked, standing up.

Alex nodded, and they left the eatery. As they walked, Emily couldn’t help but feel a distance between her and Alex.

She knew she needed to talk to him, to clear the air. But what would she say?

As they reached the beach, Alex suggested they take a walk along the shore. Emily agreed, hoping to find a moment to talk to him alone.

But as they walked, Jamie tagged along, chatting with Alex and making it impossible for Emily to have a private conversation.

Frustrated, Emily lagged behind, watching Alex and Jamie laugh and joke together.

Why did it seem like Alex was drifting away from her? And what could she do to stop it?…

As they walked, Emily’s frustration grew. She needed to talk to Alex, to figure out what was going on between them.

Finally, Jamie stopped to take a phone call, leaving Emily and Alex alone.

“Hey,” Emily said, trying to sound casual. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”

Alex nodded, turning to face her. “What’s up?”

Emily took a deep breath. “I just feel like…we used to be so close, i know its not that long and now it feels like you’re drifting away from me.”

Alex looked concerned. “What are you talking about? I’m right here.”

Emily gestured to Sandra, who was still standing with her friends in front of the eatery . “You’re always talking to her, laughing with her. It feels like you’re replacing me with her.”

Alex sighed. “Emily, that’s not what’s going on. Sandra’s just a friend.”

Emily raised an eyebrow. “Just a friend?”

Alex nodded. “Yeah. We’re just friends, but why are you behaving this way ,she’s your friend , its not like I’m dating you Emily “,

Emily looked down , she felt so stupid and Alex was right , they are not dating , she’s being over protective.

Just then, Jamie returned, ending their conversation ,

Emily’s expression turned gloomy. “I think we should head home,” she said, not looking happy.

Jamie raised an eyebrow. “Already? We just got here.”

But Emily shook her head. “I’m tired. And we’ve had a long day.”

Alex nodded in agreement. “Yeah, we did. And I’m pretty beat too.”

Jamie shrugged. “Alright, let’s head back then.”

As they left the beach and headed home, the atmosphere was subdued. Emily was quiet, lost in her thoughts.

Alex tried to make small talk, but Emily’s responses were monosyllabic.

Jamie noticed the tension and tried to lighten the mood with jokes, but even he couldn’t pierce Emily’s gloom.

When they got home, Emily went straight to her room, shutting the door behind her.

Alex and Jamie exchanged a concerned glance. “What’s going on with her?” Jamie whispered.

Alex shook his head. “I don’t know, but I think it’s more than just tiredness.”

Jamie nodded. “Yeah, me too. I’ll go talk to her.”

But as Jamie approached Emily’s door, he heard her sobbing. He hesitated, wondering if he should intrude.

Alex, sensing Jamie’s uncertainty, took charge. “I’ll talk to her,” he said softly.

And with that, Alex gently knocked on Emily’s door, hoping to comfort her and uncover the source of her distress….

To be continued…..
