John had been busy with the project and putting things together in the office, he purposely didn’t want to tell Linda to come back to the house or run the tests yet. He focused more on the project.
Two weeks later, in the evening, John was seated in front of the house receiving an evening cool breeze when his phone rang. He checked and saw it was Linda’s mother, he then picked up the call.
The caller refused to talk for a little while.
“Hello! Mama, are you there?”
“It’s not Mama,” Linda said gently.
“Okay, any problem?”
“No, please I want to see you.”
“Ok.”
“Thank you, bye,” she said and ended the call.
The following day, John was seated on the couch in the living room, watching television when someone knocked at the door.
“Who’s there, come in.”
The person opened the door and entered, he saw it was Jenny. She was wearing a skimpy and revealing short gown.
“Good day sir, you look surprised to see me.”
“Jenny, what are you doing here?”
“Can I sit?”
“What brought you to my house?”
“I came to see the man I love. You have finally seen the person you are married to.”
As she still speaking, Linda entered the compound looking sober. She noticed that the door was open, she then went closer and heard a female voice. She quickly entered without knocking.
She saw a lady facing her husband and making advances. She stood and watched them in so much fury.
John saw when Linda came in and pretended not to resist Jenny, he was just relaxed.
“I heard your wife is currently with her mother because of her b@d behaviour, you are being faithful to someone who doesn’t care about you? You are such a nice man, Linda doesn’t deserve you,” Jenny said and was drawing nearer to him.
“Just give me a chance and you will see all the things you’ve been missing in this marriage. Linda is gone for good, it’s high time you reciprocate this affection I have for you, I love you so much,” Jenny continued.
She then moved her left leg trying to sit on his lap while facing him.
Then Linda couldn’t stand watching them anymore. She rushed towards them.
“Jenny!!!” Linda shouted.
Jenny was startled at first, but later turned and faced Linda.
“So!? Are you still his wife!?”
“You! Jenny! My close friend! You advised me to go for a man who has vibes and you are here trying to seduce my own husband.”
“You are too nai.ve and stu.pid. So if I tell you to kil.l yourself, you will go and do it. Please go and continue with your Kelly. This man here is already mine!”
Linda gave her an unexpected hot slap and pounced on her. They started fig.hting each other. John left them and entered the room.
They continued fig.hting and abu.sing themselves.
Linda then pulled Jenny’s wig and tried to tear her skimpy clothes. Jenny pulled herself out and quickly ran out of the house.
“Har.lot, you are coming to fight me in my own husband’s house,” Linda shouted as she chased her out of the compound.
Later she came back to the living room panting.
A few minutes later, she saw that John cared less about what happened, she went to the bedroom where he was.
She knelt before him and started pleading for forgiveness.
“Please find a place in your heart to forgive me. I will never disregard you again, I’ll never love any other man. I’m sorry for all the pai.n I’ve caused you.”
“It’s ok, get up.”
“Thank you, God bless you,” she got up and sat on a side stool. She was still feeling unworthy in his presence.
“How is Mama,” he asked after a short silence.
“She is fine.”
“You are welcome back. We will be going to see the doctor tomorrow.”
“Ok,” she agreed without even knowing the purpose of visiting the doctor.
She just want to be accepted.
Later on, she changed her dress and left for the kitchen to prepare some meals.
When she was done, she dished it out and both of them ate together even though they weren’t free with each other.
The following day they left for the hospital.
They were both mute as they cruise to the hospital.
When they got to the hospital, John then broke the silence.
“I want us to do a DNA test. I just want to be sure that the baby is mine.”
Linda was speechless but she had no options.
They went to the doctor’s office and were given a lab prescription form with the type of test stated on the form.
John made some payments at the cashier’s office and they both proceeded to the lab. A blo.od sample was collected from Linda and a mouth swab from John.
“The result will be ready in a week but will be at the doctor’s office,” the scientist told them.
“Ok, thank you,” John said and they left the lab.
They went back to their house from there. Linda was looking tense, she felt a week was too long.
From that day on, Linda became a prayer warrior. She was fasting and praying without going to work.
On one occasion, she woke up one midnight and was praying fervently.
“Oh God, just do this for me and I will forever be grateful to you. Please never allow me to lose my husband, I will love him, I will appreciate him, and I will not fall for any other man. God I love my husband, I will be a good wife,” she continued praying and making endless promises.
Within that short period, she lost some weight.
When the day came for them to go back to the hospital, Linda was so scared. She waited for that day but she didn’t feel like leaving the house for the hospital. She was so reluctant as they were dressing up.
When John was done preparing, he went outside and ignited his car.
“Be fast, I’m waiting for you here,” he said and sat in the car.
In no time Linda came out looking nervous. She entered the car and they left.
A few minutes later, they were already at the hospital and proceeding to the doctor’s office. The doctor was with another patient, so they were asked to wait.
The patient later left and they went in.
The doctor sorted out some files on his table and brought out their result. The doctor looked at them and they were both looking anxious.
He then smiled.
“Congratulations mr John, the baby is yours.”
They both shouted in excitement.
Linda quickly went on her knees and started weeping and praising God.
After some minutes, she moved to where her husband was seated while still kneeling.
“I will forever be faithful to you, thank you for taking me back.”
Her husband held her up and they both hugged.
The doctor was smiling and watching them.
Later on, they left for their house.
They felt like a newly married couple once more. Linda kept to all the promises she made to God, she felt it was a second chance for her.
So one evening, Linda and her husband were in the living room discussing and watching television. Her husband then turned to her.
“There’s something I’ve been thinking about.”
“What is it, my love?”
“What is that thing that made you love Kelly that time.”
Linda laughed.
“I’m serious, tell me.”
“To be honest with you, it was just his physique.”
“Really?”
“Yes, nothing more.”
“Hmmm, women! Okay oo, I will start working on my physique too but you never complained about my body.”
“I didn’t want you to feel b@d.”
“I understand, I’ll try and work on my body.”
They both laughed.
Linda put in all her effort in working towards the success of the project at hand.
A few weeks later, Kelly and Gina were charged to court and later bagged four years imprisonment each for their offences.
About six months later, the project was completed and they were multiple times richer than they were before.
They relocated to a new apartment in another town.
The following month, Linda gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Their joy knew no bounds.
They lived happily ever after.

When you notice that your partner is developing a strange attraction towards another person, say it out in a polite way, it can save you a lot of stress.
They might even tell you those things they love and you both can work things out together.
Good communication can help in creating a healthy relationship.
Most times, it’s unrealistic to have all you need in one partner. That person you may dis.like so much can be another’s ride or die.
