HER CRUSH
Episode 3

Linda was seated in her office, dorting dome documents when the secretary came to inform her that someone wanted to see her.
She told the secretary to let the person in.
When the person opened the door, Linda saw it was her friend.
“Jenny baby!” she shouted in excitement and quickly went and hugged her.
“You are welcome, my dear. Have a seat,” showing Jenny a seat as she went back to her seat.
“Thank you,” Jenny said and sat.
“Hmm, see someone that called herself my friend. So if I didn’t call you, you wouldn’t have come. You’ve been avoiding me since I got married.”
“Abeg oo, I don’t want anyone to oppress me.”
“Hmm, you know I can’t do that.”
“You look so beautiful. Money is good oo, see Linda of yesterday.”
“God is faithful my dear.”
“I was thinking that I would meet you heavily pregnant.”
Immediately Linda’s countenance changed.
“We are waiting on God,” Linda said heaving a sigh.
“Ok oo, how is your millionaire husband.”
“He’s fine. Let’s talk about something else abeg. Can you still remember Kenny, Kenny that we attended the same Jamb lesson with?”
“You mean that fine boy that was all over you then.”
“Exactly, he lives in our neighbourhood now.”
“Really? He knew you were married.”
“Yes, he has met my husband once.”
“Jenny, if you see that guy now, omo! See abs, I don’t think I can resist him anymore.”
“You see why I always say that marriage is a cage. I won’t marry until I’m done enjoying my singlehood. Na you run go marry.”
“What are you now saying?”
“He may still have feelings for you, he’s just respecting the fact that you are married.”
“I’m getting tired of this marriage thing. I don’t know why my husband is not attractive to me anymore.”
“He’s much more older than you you know, he won’t give you that vibe you want. You can stay with him for his money and still nurture your relationship with someone else.”
“I think I’m in love with Kenny already,” Linda said blushing.
Jenny chuckled.
“I knew it, if I were you, I would follow my heart.”
“I’m thinking the same. I just want to be happy.”
“My friend, follow your heart! By the way, you don’t want to offer me anything.”
“I didn’t forget my dear, I want you to join me on my lunch break. It’s almost time, let’s go.”
“Alright, madam Linda.”
They both laughed hysterically.
Linda arranged the documents on her table and carried her handbag. They stood up and left the office.
Later that day when Linda dismissed from work, she quickly left her office and went to where she packed her car.
She opened the car and sat down. She then brought out the small makeup bag that’s always in her handbag, applied a little powder on her face with a powder brush and rubbed a little coloured gloss on her lips. She looked her face in the mirror and put the makeup bag back in her handbag.
Later on, she drove off.
A few minutes later, when she entered her suburb, fortunately for her, she saw Kenny coming towards her.
She hooted to call his attention and then drove to a safer place and packed her car.
Kenny went close to her.
“Hi, Kenny. Sorry that I stopped you here.”
“No problems. How was work today?”
“Fine, there’s something I would like to discuss with you.”
“You can go ahead and tell me, hope everything is alright.”
“Yes, everything is fine. It’s not something we can talk about here,” she said smiling.
Kenny smiled too.
Linda brought out her phone from her bag and gave it to him.
“Put your phone number here, I’ll give you a call when I’m free.”
Kenny collected the phone from her. He entered his phone number and dialled it. He cut the call when he noticed it was ringing.
He then gave her back the phone. They spoke a little more and then went their separate ways.
