*EPISODE 16*
((CHANGE OF RULES))
“Do you have an idea of who you just slapped?” Gerald asked with his hand on his cheek.
“You must be stupid to think I’m scared of you. You lost my respect the day you came up with the idea of hurting my daughter. Gerald Lawan, I swear it’s over for you. If you don’t know who Chief Afolabi is, then you can go and ask again. Cause I’m good in paying back evil with evil” He raged in Gerald’s face.
And without further hesitation, he quickly pulled out his cell phone and called Adekunle Lawan.
“You better get to room 105 before I do something drastic to your untrained dog of a son.” Chief Afolabi fumed.
A few moments later, Adenkunle Lawan appeared with Gerald’s wife. As they entered, they saw Chief Afolabi sitting impatiently on the edge of the bed, his chin on his clasped hands. While Abeni, who has removed her mask, was on the other side with Bayo. And Gerald, who was still tying the towel around his waist, stood in the middle with his hands on his waist.
“What’s going on here?.” Adekunle Lawan asked, looking curiously into their faces.
“Adekunle Lawan. I have always respected you I’ve always been loyal to you. I spent my youth serving you. There was nothing I didn’t do at your request. So why will your son of all the whole girls, choose to violate my only daughter?.” Chief Afolabi asked.
“What?.” Adekunle Lawan and Gerald’s wife exclaimed staring at Gerald in disbelief.
“How did it happen?.” Adekunle Lawan asked totally confused.
“Ask your stupid loosed son.” Chief Afolabi said, pointing angrily at Gerald.
“Gerald, what happened? Is everything he said the truth?” Adekunle Lawan asked, looking at Gerald.
“Father, it’s true that I flirted with her and almost had s*x with her, but I never intended to rape her. I didn’t force her to come with me or sleep with me. In fact, she agreed to the matter on a mutual basis.” Gerald said defensively.
“You liar,” Abeni cried, with tears rolling down her cheeks. “You drugged me with that drink and forcefully had your way with me. Why are you lying?” She said, crying like a helpless child.
“What?. I forced you?. When?. How?. Look, if you’re joking, you better cut it out. In fact, what is going on here? Is this a setup or what?” Gerald asked, totally confused.
“Gerald, can you explain everything that happened? How exactly did it lead to this?” Adekunle Lawan asked.
“Father, believe me, I’m telling the truth. I was chatting with a couple of my friends when she walked up to me and accidentally splashed her drink on me. And on the process of apologizing, we agreed to meet in my room for a proper apology. That’s how it led to this. Believe me, I never forced her to come here, she came on her own accord, and I didn’t force myself on her either she simply asked me to go on, believe me, father, I’m telling nothing but the truth. ” Gerald said defensively.
Upon hearing his words, Chief Afolabi could not help but scoff.
“So finally you’re trying to say that my daughter actually followed you here for what reason?. To have s*x with you as the w***e she is?. Come on Gerald, you can do better than this,” He said, shaking his head in disbelief.
“My daughter is what he said the truth?” Adekunle Lawan asked Abeni, who burst into tears.
“I went to grab a cup of drink when I saw Gerald chatting with some people. He wasn’t wearing a mask, so it wasn’t difficult to identify him. So I went over to exchange pleasantries with him, but I missed my step and accidentally spilled my drink on him. I had to apologize quickly but he held my hand and said it was ok. So I figured it was because he knew I was my father’s daughter. I didn’t know that he actually wanted me. So he whispered in my ear and told me I look beautiful and all. And I returned the gesture. And that was it. A few moments later someone came up to me and said that Gerald would like to see me. And then he gave me the room number. So I walked into this place thinking he had something important to tell me. Only for him to so offer me a drink that he drugged. After taking a small amount of it, I got dizzy and fell asleep for a moment. And when I opened my eyes, I saw him climbing on top of me and reaching for my underwear. That was when I started screaming for help. Then, luckily, my father and brother showed up at the door” Abeni said amidst tears.
“So how did you two get to know that she was in here?.” Adekunle asked Afolabi.
“Because we started looking for her and someone told us she went this way. And knowing the kind of stuff your son was made of, I couldn’t afford to waste more time. So that’s how we rushed down here. And Lo and behold. My fears were right before me.” Chief Afolabi said.
“How could she have followed a man into his room in the first place?. Or is she that cheap and desperate?” Gerald’s wife asked glaring at Abeni.
“Woman, I won’t have you insult my daughter while I’m here. Can you even hear yourself speak?. It’s quite obvious that you are so comfortable being the wife of Gerald Lawan that you do not care about how many girls he inserts his public manhood into. Let me ask you. when was the last time you treated infection? And when was the last time you did HIV test?.” He asked.
“Chief… watch your words. She’s my wife.” Gerald yelled.
“Oooh, so you knew you had a wife? And you couldn’t chain that uncontrollable thing dangling between your legs?” Chief Afolabi asked.
“Why is she blaming me? Why should I suspect Gerald, who is the son of my father’s friend?. How could I have suspected him to be a rapist and loosed man?. I thought he was harmless and had good intentions for me which was why I felt comfortable coming here in the first place. But you all are saying It was my fault for coming here, then I’m willing to take the blame. But what I won’t forgive is that nobody blames him for his own mistakes. Would it have cost him anything to control himself? Why did he serve me a drink that was drugged?…..”, she asked through tears and her tears hurt her father deeply.
“…why are you doing this?.” Gerald cut in. “You ordered the drink yourself. And it wasn’t drugged. So what exactly do you intend to gain from all these?.” Gerald asked completely confused.
“Father, if nothing is done about this, then I will have no choice but to take my life. Because I can’t bear the shame of being raped by this devil.” She threatened. Then she turned to Bayo and said, “Bayo, please take me home. I’m so ashamed of myself right now,” she said.
“All right. Let’s go home,” Bayo said.
“Wait, let me get my things.” She said.
She walked quietly to the bed, grabbed her bag, and stylishly pushed her shoe to where she had attached the spy camera sunglasses. And when she went there to pick up her shoe, she stylishly took the sunglasses with her. And without further hesitation, she and Bayo left the room.
“I am leaving too. Because I can’t party with people who don’t have any atom of shame and regards for others. But bear this in mind Gerald Lawan. You dared with the wrong person. I chief Afolabi will make sure I undress you in public. If you don’t do the needful. And trust me, there won’t be any election except I am no longer Chief Afolabi.” He threatened before taking his leave.
“Father, those were empty threats right?” Gerald asked his father, who in turn gave him a resounding slap in the face.
“Fool. Nincompoop. When are you going to stop bringing shame to my name with that thing you call manhood?. You ask if those were empty threats?. For your information, Chief Afolabi won’t sit back this time around as this has to do with his daughter. So if you want to win the upcoming election, I’m sure you know what to do,” Adekunle Lawan said. After that, he angrily left the room, leaving Gerald alone with his wife.
“Honey, please…” Gerald tried to plead, but she immediately shunned him.
“Please hold it there. Thanks to you, I’ve been able to take the biggest insults of my life,” she said, after which she hissed and walked away.
“Argh……!.” Gerald raged, scattering everything in front of him. “What game are they playing with me?” He asked, unable to believe what had just happened.
Meanwhile, Bayo and Abeni burst out laughing as they drove home with excitement in their hearts.
“I never thought you were such a great actress. Damn…!. You pulled it off effortlessly.” Bayo praised.
Both burst out laughing. But staring at Bayo’s face suddenly made Abeni’s heart beat faster.
“Bayo,” she called out in a serious tone.
“Yes,” Bayo replied, still looking at her with a smile on his face.
“Can you close your eyes for a moment?” She asked.
“Why? Do you have something for me?” asked Bayo.
“Yes.” She said.
“Okay,” Bayo said.
Then he found a good spot and parked his car.
“All right. My eyes are closed,” he said closing his eyes.
And without hesitation, Abeni unbuckled her seat belt and leaned forward, pressing her lips to Bayo’s, who opened his eyes in shock and disbelief and saw Abeni’s lips on his.
He quickly pushed her away.
“And what are you doing?.” he asked totally confused.
“I’m sorry Bayo. But I can’t pretend anymore. I have feelings for you.” Abeni confessed.
“What?.” Bayo asked with his jaw dropped in disbelief.
