I ignored my mother in-law questions as I was wondering what she’s doing here after she spent one month with us, left last week and here she’s again.

“Where are you coming from?” My mother in-law asked and I gave my husband “what’s she doing here” look but he looked away
“Am coming back from the office ma” I answered
“At this time of the night?” She eyed me
“It’s just 5:01pm” I said checking my wristwatch
“Mom, I told her not to work_ I sent a death glare to my husband which made him stop
“You went to the office in this tight clothes to sedu..ce your boss abi?” She scrutinized me and I became angry
“You’re a married_ I didn’t listen to the rest of her cheap talks as I walk to my room without sparing them a glance

My mother in-law barged into our room and I frowned at her uncultured behaviour
“Mama, what if I was nak..ed?” I asked angrily
“Shiooor, Is there something you have that I don’t?” She hissed and I facepalmed
“What’s all this, Mama?” I pointed at the pot of soup she’s holding like a lifeline
“You’re wasting my son’s money on this” she said and I shook my head”If only she knows I cooked the soup with my money”
“The only thing you know how to do is squander my son’s money, That’s why you’re not pregnant yet” she said and the last statement triggered me

“Babyyy” I shouted and my husband rushed to our room
“Yes”
“Tell ur mom to go back to her matrimonial home, we got married five months ago, we still need our privacy without interference” I said
“NEVER, Do you want me to chase my mom out?” He asked with wide eyes
“I didn’t say you should chase her out, Tell her to give me breathing space” I argued
“Never, Nothing can make my mom leave this house not even you” He retorted and I blinked back the tears that were abt to fall
“Fine, I’ll leave this house till you realise that your mom and I have different position in your life, For our ship to sail, there can’t be two helms (Ur mom and I), Grow up” I said as I began to pack my clothes in determination to leave the house for few days.
“Let’s see if your mom will be with you at night also”
