My heart is at peace after my encounter with mother I feel released from the heaps of pains in my heart.
I understand her hurt and why I was the object of her frustration and pain. She needed someone to love, she need closure so falling for Reuben blindly was inevitable. A woman in love is actual blind and won’t think straight when it comes to man she is in love with🤦🏻♀️.
I got home to meet Ella and Maxwell waiting for me; they were happy with my report saying they will go with me to see her.
Maxwell and I had a lengthy discussion; he encouraged me to be free with her. His support means so much to me, I couldn’t have come this far without him.
He left after our conversation telling me he will be on time tomorrow for the visit to mother.
I went to Ella’s room after he left, the nurse just finished giving her drugs, I spotted her food on the table barely eaten
” Ella, you should eat more”
” I’m full”
” Full? With your food barely touched. Let me feed you”
” No Ruth. I’m going to throw up”
” I’m not happy with this”
” I’m happy you made peace with her😊. ”
Ella just digressed to something else, she is being evasive about her health.
” Yes. I’m but you..”
” I will be fine Ruth” she said wreathing in pains
I held her immediately she tried to adjust on her bed
” Take it easy”
” The pains is unbearable Ruth, I just want it gone🥺”
” Sorry. I’m flying you out once I am done with mother”
She shook her head in protest
” I don’t want to go”
” So you prefer living in pains Ella😩”
” I want to rest”
” Sure’
” Don’t worry Ruth it’s going to be over soon. ”
” Then let me take you overseas”
” This pain is deep”
” I can’t imagine”
She smiled weakly, held my hands and exhaled
” My joy is that you are getting your life back in pieces Ruth. Maxwell is God sent and I am sure he will take care of you. The way he talks about you assures me he will be a good husband. He adores you”
” Ok. ”
” Ruth, promise me that no matter what you did be strong ”
” What are you saying?😩”
” Never forget my siblings, treat them as yours’
” Ella stop. You are getting me scared”
” No. Time is limited, I have made peace with my Creator…”
” Elllaaaa. Stop!!” I cried out
Her eyes were welled with tears😥,
” Look at me Ruth, is this life? I am trapped in this wheels forever, I get to be liability for the rest of my life”
” Look at me, you are no liability to anyone. Don’t you ever say that. We are sisters, sisters stick through thick and thin, I told you I will be with you from dusk till dawn no matter what”
” I love you Ruth🥺🤎”.
” I love you Ella with my heart. ”
” Don’t worry I will be behind you as you walk down the aisle”
We both smiled at each other wiping the tears on our faces, I left her to my room. I took my bathe changed into my night wear and joined her in her room downstairs.
Ella is sleeping when I got in, she looked pained in her sleep. I knelt down beside her and prayed with all my heart for healing.
I slept beside her quietly, my thoughts were filled with her words. The hands of sleep wrapped me up to the dream world.

My alarm clock snoozed severally I feel reluctant to get up this morning, I yawned trying to clear my eyes.
I’m minutes late for my devotion, I went to Ella’s bathroom washed my face.
Feeling refreshed and awake I sat on the chair quietly praised and prayed for some minutes before proceeding to Ella side to pray with her.
” Amen” she said with a smile
” Good morning sister”
” Good morning Ruth, thank God for another chance to see today”
” How was your night”
” Peaceful dear”
I was happy she slept well last night
” Let me prepare you. ”
I cleaned my friend up carefully. I called the house help and instructed him to prepare breakfast for us.
We chatted happily remembering old times; Kris, Sandra, Kate and Anita and our ordeal.
” It’s been a tough path with you my friend”
” Yes”
Breakfast was served to us, I was feeding her playfully as she chatted not wanting to eat.
” You should eat Ella, hah. You can gist”
” As if you are not enjoying the gist”
I succeed in making her finish her breakfast as she was in high spirit today.
” Go get ready, the nurse will take it up from here”
” Ok”
I left for my room to get ready for our visit to mother, my phone rang, it was Maxwell
” Hey dear. How was your night”
” Beautiful. Good morning”
” Good morning beautiful. I will be with you in two hours time”
” Ok”
” How is Ella?”.
” She is fine.”
” Ok. See you soon, I love you”
” Love you too”
I was done preparing within forty-five minutes, I joined Ella who was in the living room seeing a movie
” You look pretty”

I called Bisi to get information about our business, acknowledging payment made the previous day and giving her instructions on what to do.
The door bell chimed twice, that must be Maxwell I thought as I walked to open the door but surprisingly it’s was Adaora.
” Good morning Ada”
” Good morning” she sighed looking me in a disgusting manner
” You can come in”
She walked past me with an intimidating look and confidence. Her eyes darted all over our house
” Ada! Wow what a pleasant surprise to have you here this morning” Ella greeted
She walked towards her
” It’s not pleasant to be under the roof of whores”
” I beg your pardon Ada” I yelled
” My pardon refuse to be begged. Look at you. Hmm. I never liked you from the onset, my spirit doesn’t agree with you. You think you can fool everyone with your behavior and come into my family deceiving my brother😠”
She looked my finger
” I see you have deceived him into marriage. you desperate☹️…’
” Hey! Will you shut that mouth of yours before I deal with you” Ella shouted
” What can you do? You are handicapped sweetie, I know you both and you can’t deceive me. You may have fooled Maxwell into falling for you but I won’t allow you spoil the good reputation of my family”
” St. Ada leave please” Ella blurted out
” Or else what? You will stab me? ”
I was boiling inside of me trying to keep myself calm
” Listen to me Ada or whatever you call yourself, you must be stupid to come into our house and insult us this morning. Don’t mind my condition, I won’t hesitate to beat you…”
” You won’t succeed with your plans Ruth. Just wait and see what would happen when he finds out that you are an ex convict and a w***e. Oh you are surprise. I got my sources right. ”
” Adaora get out of my house” I order
” Oh! I’m leaving. I can’t stand you both”
She walked out and banged the door loudly. I felt beaten by those words.
” Ruth ignore her”
” Let’s leave”
” What about Maxwell”
” Ella we are going without him”
” No. We are waiting…”
” I’m not waiting for him. He..”
” He has nothing to do with his sister’s outburst you know”
I wheeled her out not paying heed to what she says.
” Ruth we can’t…”
” I don’t care”
” Well I do. How do you think he will feel Ruth? He was the one who talked you into seeing your mother and now you want to throw him because of Adaora. Look at yourself for goodness sake Ruth! What are you afraid of? He knows everything about you so”
” His family?🥺
” Allow him to deal with it’
I stopped at the porch, sat down trying to process everything Ella said.
