Susan wanted to remove the apron from Ken’s neck and collect the spoon from him but Ken insisted he must finish what he started.
Have you forgotten those days I was cooking for you? You will eat and almost bite off your fingers. Ken jokingly told Susan
That was when I newly gave birth to Blossom. I still remember that. But wait o! Did you say I will eat and almost bite my fingers? Hahaha! Let me not talk.
Ehe, that reminds me, I spoke with Jide over the phone not quite long. Guess what? He said I should come tomorrow. Susan told Ken.

Ken hesitated and had a deep breath before promising Susan.
The next day Susan was fully ready for her appointment with Jide.

You look gorgeous my darling wife. Good luck baby. Ken kissed Susan on her forehead and Susan accepts the kiss with her eyes deeply closed.
Susan got to the office after thirty minutes. The Secretary had to call his boss Jide, to confirm if he was expecting a female visitor by the name Susan. Jide confirmed and she showed Susan in.
Look who we have here, Susu. Please sit down. Jide excitedly welcomed Susan
Thanks, Jide. Susan said as she sited opposite Jide in his office.

Susan got home. And told Ken how everything went. They both prayed and believed it works. Ken, entered the bedroom to have his bath. The phone he kept close to Susan rang.

Susan picked and it was a lady’s voice that introduced herself as a lawyer and informed him that his rent has been expired two months ago. Susan was so surprised because he knows their barrister is a man and their rent will expire by December. She kept back the phone.
Who called? Ken asked.
She said she’s a barrister in a house you occupied. She called to inform you the house you rented has expired. What is going on Ken? Which house rent is she talking about?
Babe calm down I will explain everything to you, please. Ken pleaded.
I’m calming down already. Tell me I’m listening.
I rented a self-contained I made my private hideout when I was sacked. That’s mostly where I spend my time if I’m tired of going about looking for a job. I have no properties in there. I only have an Orthopedic mattress and two cottons that’s all. Ken confessed.
And how much is the rent for this House? Susan calmly asked.
It’s three hundred thousand yearly. Ken answered.
Susan made calculations of three hundred thousand times four and she got one point two million naira.
How could you be this wasteful Ken? For the past four years, you have been wasting money without no any source of income. Ken, for the past four years you have been lying to me you are going to work when there is no more work anywhere Why will I even believe that you live alone in that house?
No, baby! Baby, don’t think like that. You know I will never do such a thing you imagined. I can’t possibly lie to you, Susy. I did what I did because I want to maintain that happiness in my home. There’s nothing I would have done. We will go to the house so you will see for yourself. Please forgive me. Ken begged as tears drops from his eye heavenly.
It’s okay stop crying. You know I hate to see you cry. I believe you. I have no reason to doubt you but what I’m saying is that you went too far.

I’ve forgiven you. But we are going there to get that mattress and cotton we can’t
leave them there. Susan ordered
Right away babe you are right. We won’t leave them there. Ken agreed.
A few weeks later Susan was called to resume work in Jide’s establishment. She was so excited and couldn’t wait to resume because she has never worked before and she wants to feel how it is.
