Tonia and her friend, on break went on gisting about Temitope and Tomisin. They were sitting at the back of the classroom, everyone was already outside, some sleeping, some chatting, some playing with phones and others busy with sporting activities.
‘Do you know both of them were part of the first ten again in Oyo state?’
‘In this GCE?’. Kate asked.
‘Yes now, never knew that guy is this brilliant.’ She uttered.
‘Nawaa oo, he is good, I’m sure he will like that girl like mad.’ Kate replied.
‘What?’ She frowned at her.
‘Noo, na reality wey me dey talk oo, don’t you know that?’ Kate added.
‘Which reality? Sha don’t say anything again, let’s start looking at each other.’ She continued frowning.

Olajumoke and Tolulope were lying down on the bed, about to sleep that night when Olajumoke brought up Tope’s topic.
‘That boy, it seems he’s not alright, always with that Tomisin of a girl.’ She said.
‘That Seun’s daughter right?’ Tolu asked.
‘Yes now, he likes that girl jurh!’ She hissed.
‘Okay, I know what to do. I won’t leave my son to start liking a girl from that man’s generation.’ He commented.
‘Good, so what do we do?’ She questioned.
‘We are going to send Temitope to Ghana to study, he is not going to study here!’ He said smiling.
Olajumoke was very happy, Good* she commented.

Days upon days, months rolled on months and WAEC was done, the principal was rest assured that the students would pass. All hoped and prayed for a good result, this time, they’ve also written jamb which Tope had 275 and Tomisin had 282. They were happy and celebrated. This time, the pressure had been much on Temitope not to have anything to do with Tomisin again, although they’ve not disclosed to him that he would study in Ghana and not in Nigeria. The students all were already preparing for their Valedictory service this time. The suite picked was black.
‘Son, you’re studying in Ghana and not in Nigeria here.’ Tolu uttered.
‘What! Ghana! What I’m I going there to do? I hate Ghana dad, I perfer Nigeria to Ghana and I have plans for my university not in Ghana.
‘Will you keep that good-for-nothing mouth shut!’ He shouted at him.
Dad? He looked at him.
‘Yes, I gave birth to you not you gave to me.’ He looked at him closely too.
….
Tomisin and Temitope met and both so sad after Temitope had told her that his parents had insisted that he should go and study in Ghana.
Both promised each other never to leave each other forever, this time Seun was already behind them and watched them angrily.
