Motherhood ππ Part 4.
“Honey! I’m with.. the key”. I stuttered.
“Oh!”. My husband exclaimed and rushed outside.
He assisted me into the car and drove off to the hospital.
The labor pain was excruciating. I screamed, I cried, I sang, I prayed. There was nothing i didn’t do to ease the pain.
At a point, i started hitting my husband who was trying his best to console me. I just felt he deserved a share of the pain. After all, it’s his name the children would bear and not mine.
“Baby, you will be fine. You can do this”. My husband said.
“No baby, I want to opt for CS. I can’t bear the pain anymore”. I cried out.
“Is that what you want?”. My husband asked.
“Stop asking questions! Go and fill the consent form!!”. I shouted.
I laid on the floor in the bid to find comfort but I was still uncomfortable.
“Oh Jesus help me! Our mother of perpetual help, intercede for me. St. Michael the archangel, defend me on the day of battle. Be my safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil”. I prayed out loud groaning in pains.
The consent form was signed and I was moved into the theater.
The operation commenced. Everything was going on fine. My babies were successfully removed from my womb.
The doctor was still stitching me up when I unexpectedly fell into a cardiac arrest.
“This is so unexpected!”. The surgeon exclaimed.
The theater became chaotic.
A CPR was carried out. After about 5mintues of intense CPR, my pulse returned to normal.
But i started bleeding seriously. The cause of the bleeding was unknown.
The surgeon was still trying to stop the bleeding when the lights suddenly went off.
“What’s happening??? Go on the generator immediately!!”. The surgeon commanded.
“This has never happened Coolvalstories before sir. The solar was well charged. I have called the CSO, he will put on the generator now”. The assistant surgeon replied.
“Let him hurry. We may lose her if we don’t act fast”. The doctor said in a shaky voice.
Everyone became scared. The bleeding continued.
I laid on the bed and watched life leave me slowly. I became really weak, almost like a vegetable.
“Hail Mary full of grace, the lord is with you. Blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus! Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners , now and at the hour of our deaths, Amen”. I prayed silently continuously with the little strength i had left.
The light came up but went off almost immediately.
At a point, my body could no longer move. I was ready to give up the ghost.
“Oh God, I don’t want to die π”. I pleaded.
All of a sudden the light came back on. The surgery continued immediately.
The bleeding stopped and my body got stabilized.
To God be the glory, the CS ended in praise even when the devil tried to takeaway my life.
I stayed in the hospital for two weeks before I got discharged.
A week later, a naming ceremony was held. My sons were named Jude and Julius.
Two months later, they got dedicated in church.
On that say, i cried like a baby when i was sharing my testimony.
Even when I was sharing the testimony, i couldn’t even describe and narrate the miracle well. People just sat down clapping and cheering. I wish they could really see how God demonstrated his power and might in my life.
“Who says there is no God?”.
To be continued.
