Episode 2
In Black skulls, the executioner‘s an important position. It’s mostly the position of the Capon’s right hand man because it looked like the position of the chief of Staff and Chief of Army, staff combined. Even though the Capon had a second in command, he could only act in the absence of the capon while the execution could act anytime and anywhere of course with the Capon’s permission. So in a way Jones was closer to his objective that if he had been patience enough, the current capon would graduate and leave the school in a year time and he wouldn’t have much opposition to the throne but no he was so eager and desperate for no just cause.
Perhaps it was the narcotics he always took that affected his head or because he had this thirst for power but whatever it was, he really didn’t waste time in plotting to forcefully overthrow his capon, something that had never happened in over ten years. The last time it happened was in 1997 when Osakwe shot his capon point blank during a heated meeting over finances but as with Osakwe’s case he was already the second in line and the current Capon had fallen out with almost all his friends with huge accusations of corruptions on his head. So his fate had already been decided and what everyone was waiting for was who would take the bold move which Osakwe stepped in to do.
So this scenario was way too different from Jones era where the current Capon still had the support of most of the members. The only possible thing Jones could complain about him was perhaps weakness but it wasn’t something he could easily sell to other members.
Finally with the post of the executioner within his grasp, he began plotting his next move. Taking out the capon was one thing, taking leadership over his seniors was another. He knew it was a battle way more than pulling the trigger on rival frats. He had to do something but what exactly?
First he needed money and lots of it. But how exactly do I get this money? He wondered over and over until a bright idea struck his head. Smiling he reached for the edge of his wardrobe where he dug a small opening which was well covered, pulled out a pistol, cleaned and loaded it.
‘’Tonight I will rob St James hostel’’ he muttered under his breath.
