Still at the police station.
Inspector; Mr Chika since you do not want us to arrest her yet what actions should we take.
Me: From the conversation you heard, some people are now unsafe.
Inspector: Yes that’s is true, like your Gf and neighbour.
Me: Yes inspector that is true, I would need something from you.
Inspector: And what may that be.
Me: Forget about my neighbour Ada, I would ensure her safety, but My girl friend is not safe, Ill need two spy’s , one would stay around Caroline while the other would watch the movement of Amaka.
Inspector: Okay that is not a problem.
He appointed two spy’s for me, Audu, Razak. I went straight to Caroline’s house, and explained everything to her parents, they understood and allowed the Audu stay with them for the safety of their daughter.
While Razak had to squatt with his friend whose house was very close to that of Amaka’s. The day was so hectic for me, I was just running around just to put everything in place. Finally at about 3:20pm I was done with all my strategies. I went straight to Ada room because that is where I had been spending all my nights, leaving her alone could be dangerous. I narrated the whole events to her, she was so impressed. I went straight to her bed and cuddled her.
Me: So how are you.
Ada: I am getting better, I am getting stronger.
Me: I am glad that the thought of what those evil men did is gradually erazing in your memory.
Ada: (smiles) Yes.
I held her so tight, I could feel her breath. Suddenly her boyfriend bagged in, he was so shocked seeing the state I was with Ada. He rushed to me giving me a very hard punch.
Me: (pain) auuuuch.
Ada: Rexxxx!!!! Stop that.
Rex: Ada are you mad?? So this is what you do with your so called neighbour.
Ada: Rex am sorry its not what you think.
Rex: You must be a fool, what should I think!! Cheap who*re like you I should have known you were sleeping around.
Me: Young man , I would not have you insult her!!
Rex: Oh yeah, you wanna fight come beat me.
Ada: You both please stooop
Me: I would not stoop so low fighting a low life like you, You didn’t care to call your so called girlfriend when it matters the most. Ingrate!!!
Rex: You are an idiot, why would I call her, can’ t she call me
Ada: I was rappppped!!!
There was silence on the room, Rex couldnot believe his ears, while I looked at him with disgust in my eyes.
Me: It is obvious that you are not a gentle man. You do not love mg neighbour here you just want to flirt.
Rex: Ada I am sorry!!
Ada: so if I did not call you couldn’t you have called to know why I did not calk.
Rex: I am deeply sorry.
Ada: I am sorry this relationship cannot continue, its over!!!
Rex: Yes, I am tired too, you both can enjoy your selves.
Rex slammed the door as he left. Ada broke into tears, I had her head in my chest as I consloed her.
Me: Leave him, he does not deserve you, a better man would come, trust me, do not doubt it.
Ada: why are good men scarce?? Why is it hard to find a good man?
Me: Trust me a good man would come. Am I not a good man??
Ada: (smiles) You are but you are already taken.
Me: I am glad you smiled so let us forget this ugly incident ..okay
Ada: okay..
