Episode 7
I got there ten minutes late, Amaka was already there waiting for me, she waved at m as soon as she sighted me. I moved over to the seat to meet her.
Amaka: You’re ten minutes late what happened.
Me: I am sorry, I had to take a student on after school tutorial.
Amaka: Okay what would you like to take.
ME: Nothing, I am cool with water
Amaka: Come on be free with me, this is not work, okay I’ll order for you.
Me: Okay.
Amaka: Waiter! Waiter!!
Me: Get us two bottle of smniroff and two plates of fried rice and Chicken.
As we ate.
Amaka: So, tell me about You??
Me: Sorry, I guess we should not talk while eating, that’s table manners.
Amaka: (giggles) Are you that daft? The rules has changed, Now it is, You should not talk while you have food in your mouth, it is almost impossible to not talk while eating.
Me: (Smiles) Alright You win, My name is Chika, just as you jotted, And I am a teacher.
Amaka: Is that all??. . Ill score you 9/100 if I was to mark this.
Me: Okay, My parents lives in Jos but I hail from IMO, I studied economic and English education at the Alvan ikoko college of education, graduated, hunted for Job and finally got a teaching Job
Amaka: ( impressed) Now you’re talking, you’re a very intelligent young man, well as you know my name is Amaka, I come from Enugu state, My parents are abroad in Mexico to be precise, I live here alone because of work , and as you know I work with the ministry.
Me: (smiles) wow that’s so nice, 100/100.
Amaka: (laughs) You seem shy, dnt tell me you are?
Me: No, but am usually shy on the first meetings.
Amaka: We are friends now, so do not be shy.
Me: Sure you’re a very wonderful, intelligent, beautiful and caring person
Amaka: Awwwwn am touched dear.
Me: Trust me this is no flattery.
Amaka: How would you schedule be on Friday Night.
Me: hmm.. Oupps.. Very tight, I have extra moral classes with my students on Friday and Saturday.
Amaka: Okay what about on Saturday Night.
Me: Yeah..I should be free by then.
Amaka: OK I would like us to go clubbing.
Me: (shocked) You Club!!!
Amaka: Why the hell do everybody ask me that question. Do I look like I Dnt
Me: Hahaha, no its just like you look too classy for that type of stuff.
Amaka: Well forget all this packaging, although I am comfortable financially, I am a girl that really likes to catch fun. I do not like going to the club alone or with my female friends, it is not safe.so thank God I have you.
Me: But….
Amaka: No buts .. I’ll call you okay.
Me: Okay.
Amaka seemed a very nice person, I owed her one remembering the fact that she did me a favor by not exposing me to the principal. During the times we talked, I noticed, she looked at me seductively, and also rubbed my hands which i had placed on the restaurant table. I would not take chances, I would let her know that we are just friends and nothing more.
