LOVE IN THE APARTMENT
EPISODE 7

Over the next few days, Alex and Emily continued to bond over small gestures and shared moments. They would chat and laugh together, and Alex found himself looking forward to their interactions.

One evening, as they were watching TV together, Emily turned to Alex and asked, “Hey, can I ask you something?”

“Sure, what is it?” Alex replied, curious.

“What made you change towards me?” Emily asked, her eyes searching his face. “You used to be so annoying and bossy, but now you’re actually nice to be around.”

Alex chuckled, feeling a sense of self-awareness. “I think I realized that I was being a j**k, because you pushed me and I didn’t want to be that person anymore. Plus, I’ve gotten to know you better, and I think you’re pretty cool.”

Emily smiled, looking pleased. “Thanks, Alex. I think you’re pretty cool too.”

As they continued to talk, Alex realized that he was developing feelings for Emily beyond friendship. He wasn’t sure if it was just a crush or something more, but he knew he had to be careful. They had just started to get along, and he didn’t want to ruin their new connection.

But as he looked into Emily’s eyes, he saw something there that gave him hope. Maybe, just maybe, she felt the same way…

Emily stared at Alex, her heart racing with a mix of emotions. She couldn’t believe how her heart had melted from just the attention Alex had given her the previous time. No one had ever shown her such care and kindness before, and it made her feel all fluttery inside.

As she gazed at Alex, she felt her cheeks grow hot with a blush. Alex, noticing her gaze, stood up, breaking the spell.

“I’ll retire to my room now,” he said, his voice low and gentle. “I have to go to work very early tomorrow morning.”

Emily nodded, still feeling a bit dazed, and stood up as well. “Goodnight, Alex,” she said softly.

“Goodnight, Emily,” Alex replied, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.

As they bade each other goodnight, Emily felt a sense of wonder. What was happening to her? She had never felt this way about anyone before.

As she retired to her room, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that something had shifted between her and Alex. She felt a connection, a spark that she couldn’t ignore.

And as she drifted off to sleep, she couldn’t help but wonder what the future held for them…

The next day, after Alex and Jamie left for work, Emily’s friend Sandra from school came to visit. They spent the whole day together, chatting and laughing, and Emily was thrilled to have some company ,they spent the whole day together till evening.

Later that evening, Jamie and Alex returned home from work and walked into the sitting room, where Emily and Sandra were still chatting.

As Jamie and Alex walked into the sitting room, Emily stood up to greet them. “Hey guys, how was your day?” she asked, smiling.

Jamie replied with a nod, “It was good, just busy with work. How about you?”

Alex, however, didn’t respond. His eyes were fixed on Sandra, and he didn’t seem to notice Emily’s question.

Sandra, noticing the awkwardness, stood up to greet them. “Hi Jamie, hi Alex,” she said, extending her hand to Jamie first.

Jamie shook her hand warmly. “Hey Sandra, nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you.”

Sandra smiled and turned to Alex, expecting a similar greeting. But Alex took her hand and held it longer than necessary, staring into her eyes with an intensity that made Emily feel uncomfortable.

“Hi Sandra,” Alex said finally, his voice low and smooth. “It’s great to meet you.”

Sandra seemed taken aback by Alex’s gaze, but she smiled politely. “Nice to meet you too, Alex.”

Emily, feeling annoyed, interrupted the exchange. “So, Jamie, how was work?” she asked, trying to steer the conversation away from Alex and Sandra.

Jamie replied, “It was good, just busy with meetings. But I’m glad to be home now.”

Alex, still holding Sandra’s hand, didn’t respond. He just kept staring at her, his eyes locked on hers.

Emily couldn’t take it anymore. She coughed loudly, trying to break the spell, and Alex finally withdrew his hand. He smiled at Sandra again before leaving for his room, leaving Emily feeling confused and annoyed.

Sandra sat down next to Emily, still smiling. “Wow, Alex is really cute,” she said, raising an eyebrow.

But Emily just rolled her eyes. “Let’s just forget about it, okay? It’s already late, you should go home.”

Sandra looked surprised but stood up anyway. “Okay, fine. But what’s going on with Alex? He seemed really into me.”

Emily just shook her head. “I don’t know, and I don’t care. Just go.”

Sandra left, and Emily banged the door behind her, hissing in frustration. She retired to her room, sulking, wondering what had just happened….
