Charles and his twin sister episode 10

CHARLES AND HIS TWIN SISTER(10)

Chairman what is it?…. Joyce questioned him, removing his hands from him.

You can call me Ibrahim. The two children that you were looking for the other day, I know where they are. I saw you last week when you were discussing with one of your madam in her shop that was close to the fuel station, I could remember that you bought some fresh paper and tomatoes as well. I heard everything you told her which was why I decided to reach out to you…

Abeg abeg tell me. Those children Matta no be here. If you see the way their papa dey beat them, ahhhh you go pity them asweรฃr. So which side dem dey now?

That’s really bad. But what are you people still waiting for when you can easily get him arrested for child abuse?

His own is too much. He said nobody should advise him on how to raise his own children o. That we should leave him alone. Which was why everyone withdrew themselves from him o. We don talk tire.

Anyway, so are you free now?

No no. I’m expecting some visitors few minutes from now, have some things to write and document till their arrival. But lets make it tomorrow, you can have my contact.

Alright no problem… He said, exchanged contact with him and left. Joyce paid for the book and left as well.

The following day Joyce contacted him and they reached out to each other and transported themselves to the house where the children were staying but sadly the door was locked.

But what I don’t understand is the door that is locked. Are you sure these children are in safe hands?… Joyce questioned him, stamping her legs and looking so worried

Maybe they strolled out or have probably gone to the farm. This is where I usually see them during my one-week stay at my aunt’s place, which is not far from here. It’s almost 2:30 PM, so let’s hang around until 3 PM. Otherwise, we would have to waste another transportation going back, making everything feel like a waste. Let’s be patient and wait for them.

As they were few distance from the house leaving, Charles quickly shouted, dropping the log of wood from his head alongside the small wrapper. Rachel joined him and they rushed to hug her.

Sister Joyce.
Sister Joyce!
Sister!!
Sister!!!

Eehhhh Rachel how have you been… Charles longest time. Okhleeroo… Wonderful, I see that you both have grown. Rachel, Rachel… Joyce playfully teased them, giving them hugs, holding their hands, and rubbing their cheeks.

Sister Joyce we are fine… It’s Madam that has been taking care of us…They both replied at once.

Seems they know you very well. We were actually coming from the farm.. Let’s go inside okay… Annie told the both of them.

Charles and Co please go and boil some water and take your bath and change the clothes you’re wearing. Okay. Make sure the water is much o so that I can use the remaining one to make eba for you people to eat….. Annie whispered to them, they nodded and left.

Joyce and Ibrahim got entertained. Although Ibrahim letter left during the discussion and told Joyce that in case she wants to reach out to him that she should give him a call.

So how do you see the children’s predicament. They’re still young and are supposed to be in the school…

Joyce I understand where you’re driving at. But situations like this life is the most important thing. For the face that they’re still alive, every other thing can come in place… Annie remarked.

So this Uche you told me of, how do I reach out to him. The name is looking familiar. You said he was the one that brought them here. This children can’t continue like this. You’ve tried o. Madam you’ve tried I can attest to it. It’s not easy training a child from a different family entirely.
If only their father could realise his mistakes…

My dear everyone makes mistakes. Maybe their father had his own reason. There are consequences for every action you take in this life….

Mummy, the water is boiling!” the children shouted from the kitchen, and she excused herself and hurried to make the eba. They scooped the remaining banga soup into a bowl and placed it in front of Joyce, alongside the eba.

Ehhhhh mama thank you oo… You’re trying. Joyce appreciated her.

It’s okay my dear. Happiness is the only thing that matters. I only have myself and the children. Wash your hands and join us to eat,” Annie said, pushing the bowl of water they used to wash their hands towards her.

Sister Joyce join us to eat please…. Rachel said, moulding the eba.
