When Kelly got home, he met his girlfriend already waiting for him in their living room.
“Babe, how did it go?”
“I have the video,” handing her the camera.
She quickly collected it and switched it on.
“Is this the best way to go about this,” Kelly said looking troubled.
“I said that you are falling for her. What’s so special about this Linda sef. No problem, I will deal with her. I will destroy her.”
“Why are you taking it personally? I think you are going too far.”
“I’m not. Let’s just do this. Why are you even pitying her?”
“I’m not pitying her, do whatever you want to do with it,” Kelly said and left for the bedroom.
His girlfriend started going through the video with so much rage in her eyes.
A few days later, in the morning, Linda and her husband were awake but still in bed talking.
Suddenly Linda jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom room and started to. missing.
Her husband got up from the bed and was watching her.
When she was done, she came out looking exhausted.
Her husband was just watching her.
“I think I have malaria.”
“Malaria? When is your period supposed to come?”
“I can’t remember, I didn’t take note of the last one.”
“I don’t think you will go to work today, I’ll take you to the hospital for a checkup.”
“Ok let me rest a little,” she said and went back to bed.
Later on, both of them left for the hospital.
About an hour later, they came back looking excited.
“You don’t know how happy I am. So finally, I’ll be a father. To God be the glory.”
“It’s the Lord’s doing, Honey.”
“You need to stay back, I’ll go to the office to check something.”
“Alright, see you soon.”
He left immediately for the office.
“Seriously I’m pregnant for the first time ever. I’ll stop seeing Kelly before he claims it’s his. We have waited for this child for so long. Even if it’s Kelly’s, can he even take care of me and the baby? I rather stay with my pötbelly husband than suffer with him” she thought.
As she was thinking, she received a message from a strange number on her WhatsApp.
She opened the message and It was a video with some text that read: I need the sum of ten million naira in two weeks. If you do not cooperate with me, this video will get to your husband and the general public. I believe you know what that means. When you are ready to make payment, chat me up here and I will tell you what next you do. Don’t play tricks on me.
She quickly opened the video and it was a nūde video of her and Kelly, but Kelly’s face His blurred.
“Jesus! What is this? I’m finished! Who is behind this, let me call Kelly.”
She then picked up her phone and started calling him but he refused to pick up. She called him several times and he refused to pick.
She opened the video again.
“Wait, his face was blurred. Is he the one doing this? But why.”
Linda was visibly worried. She started pacing around her room.
“What do I do now, let me call Jenny.”
She then dialed Jenny’s number and she picked up immediately.
“Jenny! Please come over to my house. It’s urgent,” she said and ended the call.
A few minutes later, Jenny came to her place.
“Linda, why didn’t you go to work today? Is everything alright?”
“I wasn’t feeling fine. I’m pregnant.”
“Congratulations my friend.”
“Thank you, that’s not why I was calling you. I’m in a big me$$.”
“Me$$, how?”
She then opened the video and handed her the phone.
“What is this? You and Kelly?” Jenny said and started laughing.
“It’s not a laughing matter. What can I do about it? You didn’t read the message under the video. The sender is demanding ten million naira.”
“What?! Are you sure he’s aware of this, call him.”
“I’ve called his number severally but he didn’t pick up. I suspect he has a hand in this.”
“Chat the number that sent the video.”
She then collected her phone from her and sent the person the message; ‘who are you, please?’ The person replied immediately with the message; ‘Chat me only when you are ready to make payment.’
“This is serious but you know where he stays. You can go there and meet him.”
“I’m not feeling too well today. Maybe I’ll go some other time.”
“Try and meet him before that two weeks the sender stated.”
“Alright, thanks for coming around.”
“You are welcome, I was going to see my mother when your call entered. Let me run along. Do let me know when you resume work.”
“Alright, bye.”
Jenny then left the house.
“This is big news, I think it will make my plans easier. I’ll try and see her husband one more time.”
Linda’s husband saw her from afar as she left was leaving.
When he got back to the house, he went to where Linda was.
“I saw Jenny leaving. Why did she come here today?”
“I invited her over, I just wanted her to keep me company.”
“She is a b@d friend, I don’t want to see her here again.”
“What happened?”
“She had been here twice when you weren’t at home and she tried sedûc!ng me the last time she came.”
Linda was shocked at what her husband said.
