“I knew she was your ex,isn’t she? Wow are you suprised, i have ears in this company, you told me about her,isn’t she the one that left you when you had nothing, don’t even think of reconciling with her,don’t even think of it, you know i made you who you are today without me ,you are nothing, hey hannah or what’s that your name ,don’t think that he is the owner of the company, i own sixty percent shares in this company, i made him the CEO, and Micheal congratulations you are now a father, i am pregnant” she said as she took some papers in her bag and threw it at him. She pushed me out of the way and walked out of the office. I couldn’t say anything, i noticed that Micheal was reading the papers and he was smiling, he must be very happy to know that he is now a father, when he noticed i was looking at him, he paused and looked at me.
“Hannah, i am very sorry about the way my fiancee treated you, and she is not like that ,maybe it is because of the pregnancy, i am very sorry on her behalf, i” I didn’t wait for him to finish what he was saying when i walked out. When i got to my office, i started crying, he is not even concerned about me and he was even apologising on her behalf, i must be a fool to think that he would leave his pregnant fiancee for me. When it was closing time, i didn’t need to wait for daddy Micheal, i found my way home. When i got home,I met a car parked in front of our compound, someone was in it , i knocked the door, my mom opened the door for me, i noticed there was something odd about her, there was no welcome phrase today, she just opened the door, is my dad back? i asked myself as i entered into the house. Then i saw someone on the wheelchair, lo and behold, it was Richard, Richard was my husband to be before, my mom’s friend son, that was physically challenged, that i almost got married to that time when my dad had kidney problem, what’s he doing here? I said in my mind. He looked at me and smiled.
” what’s up, hannah how have you been? He asked as he smiled at me.
” i have been good, thanks, how about you? I asked.
“I am fine” he said.
“Why are you here today? I asked cause i wanted to know why he was here, hope it’s not what i am thinking.?π¬
“I came to discuss something with you ” he said as he looked at my mom, my mom stood up and went to her room.
” okay, am all ears” i said as i got sitted.
“Hmnn, i won’t waste your time so, i will go straight to the point, hannah do you know ,you are still in my mind, i mean i still love you,i didn’t know what happened back then, why you didn’t marry me then, maybe it’s because of my mom, but trust me ,i still love you, do you know ,i went overseas three years ago , so i could forget you, but i couldn’t,i wanted to contact you,but i decided not to , i wanted to see you physically to tell you my mind , i know am a cripple but i promise you that i will treat you right, i know this is sudden, but i have to say it, i am not saying you should marry me now, but please just give me a chance in your life ” he said as he looked at me. I was speechless, i didn’t know what to say.
“This is too sudden” i said.
” yes, i know, but i have to say it” he said as he looked at me. What’s all this from frying pan to fire, i have not settled my case with micheal, now Richard is here again.
“This is too sudden, i am sorry Richard please let me think about it ,i have a lot going on in my life right now okay”i said.
” ok, i didn’t expect you to answer me now, think about it, i will call you ” he said. Then my mom came to the sitting room, and then him and my mom started discussing about random things, i stood up and walked into my room, few moments later, Richard had gone, my mom knocked on the door of my room, then i opened the door, she came in, i didn’t even say anything because i was angry at her.
” Hannah, my daughter i kow you are angry, but my dear, i wasn’t the one that told him to come, i only gave him the address, see his mom has been disturbing me that her son loves you , but i always ignore her, but this time he came back from the America because of you, so i decided to attend to him ” my mom said.
“But mom, you know he is a cripple, and that’s not even the case, something happened in our office today, that was what i wanted to tell you when i got home, i didn’t even know , i had a suprise waiting for me” i said.
” what happened at the office? My mom asked curiously. Then i told her everything that happened, she was very angry at Micheal and his fiancee, but i told her, i was the one that should be blamed,my mom hugged me, because she knew that i was sad, she even fogot about Richard. The following morning, i was debating whether i should go to work or not, my phone beeped, then i opened my phone , i saw a new message, it was from Micheal, i opened the message happily, but its content shocked me, it says:
“Miss hannah, there is no need for you to come to work again, i have told Micheal to forward you your money, i don’t want to ever see you around Micheal again, if you like come, i have told the gateman to not let you in, and Micheal is aware of this that’s why i am using his phone to text you, i have told him to never contact you else i will ab*rt his baby, so kindly forget him” i was shocked when i read the message, after reading the message, i saw an alert message also, so i have been sacked???πΆ
