Chapter 3
Monday came early, i was so excited to go work, i woke up very early, i got dressed and went to the office, i greeted everyone, i was led to my office, i began to work, the telephone rang and i picked it.
“Good morning sir”I said as i picked the call.
” come to my office”the CEO said without even replying to my greetings.I stood up and went to his office.
“Good morning sir” i said to him, he was just staring at me.
“Good morning hannah,but i need you to tell me something “he said.
“What that sir? I asked.
“Who are you trying to seduce? He asked facing me. What’s he saying?
“I don’t get you sir” i said facing him.
“I mean who are you trying to seduce with your dress, the dress is short and revealing” He said angrily.
“I ,i am not trying to seduce anyone ooo, that is how i dress “i said silently.
” oh, if that’s how you dress fine, but don’t dress like that while coming to this office, hannah don’t cook anything, cause i wont eat it,so you better dress well , am i clear”He said as he glared at me.
“Yes sir” i replied sadly.
“Now sort out this files”he said as he showed me the files, it was so much, he explained everything i needed to know.
“I need it to be sorted out before tommorrow ” he commanded. This files are too much for me to handle 😩.
“Sir, i don’t think, i will be done with it before the closing hour sir” i protested. At least i was once you lover now, wont you consider me, i said in my mind as i looked at him.
”Then take it home,do i need to teach you what to do ? He said angrily.
“No sir, i will get it sorted sir” i replied immediately.Then a lady entered the office.
“Micheal darling ” the lady said as she entered and walked towards Micheal.
“Sweetheart, wow how come you are here,i thought you were in jos” he said happily as he hugged her. So this his fiancee the girl is not even fine , is this the girl he called beautiful, Micheal is blind😒.i said to myself as i was checking the girl out.
” i wanted to suprise you,Darling,who is this? And why is she starring at us” the girl said as she glared at me.
” oh,she is my new secretary hannah, hannah met the love of my life “he said as he introduced her to me.
“It’s nice meeting you” i said as i stretched my hand to shake her, guess what she didn’t accept my hands ,she just stared at me. This girl doesn’t even have character. 🙄
“Hmnn, hannah take the files and leave “He said as he sent me out. I was so angry, i picked the files and walked out, so he sent me out because of that ugly girl.🤔

Chapter 4
I wasn’t comfortable, when i got to my office, i started thinking about what they could be doing in that office, i couldn’t even focus on my work, then i remembered how we met,we met at night class in the University, that day i went for nightclass for a very difficult course. So when i got to the class, i sat beside him, then i brought my book out and i started solving some questions, but i wasn’t getting it right, he was looking at me.
” hello, may i explain it to you?He asked as he looked at me. Then i noticed him, he was so handsome , then i decided to allowed him to teach me, i wasn’t even looking at what he was teaching me, i was just looking at him, from then we became friends to lovers now ex lovers, this life,back to the present, i checked the time and then I remembered he has a meeting in fifteen minutes, thank God, i have seen an excuse to distract them, i stood up and walked to his office, when i got to the office, i saw them romancing, when they saw that i came in, they stopped. Why would they be romancing in the office, must they bring their personal affairs to the workplace. I said in my mind as i looked at them angrily.
“Why can’t you knock? He asked.
” sorry sir,i came to tell you about your meeting scheduled in fifteen minutes time with KV industries ” i said to him.
“So was that why you can’t knock, always knock before you enter my office, don’t try that again, about that meeting thank you, you may take your leave” he said as he continued what he was doing before,i was going to leave before, i said in my mind as i walked out of the office, what does he even see in that girl that looks like toothpick, with her scattered teeth 🙄.
I couldn’t finish sorting out the files at the office, so i took it home, i was still on it during midnight, my mom who was sleeping beside me woke up.
“Hannah, why are you not asleep? My mom asked.
“Mom, i have some work to do ,i couldn’t finish it yesterday, and i must submit it this morning to Micheal ” i said.
“Hmnn,i hope this boy isn’t giving you hard time? My mom asked.
“No mommy ” i said.
” okay, if you say so” my mom said as she went back to sleep. The following morning, i was done with it, so i submitted them to Micheal. There was a general meeting so i attended, during the meeting , i was dozing off.
“Miss hannah ” someone called me. I opened my eyes and saw everyone staring at me.
“Miss hannah can you tell us your opinion, everyone has said theirs ” The CEO said. I couldn’t say anything, i was just looking at them , because i didn’t even know what they were talking about.
“Miss hannah,maybe you should tell us the reason why you are sleeping by this time, especially in a meeting? Michael asked angrily. Wasn’t it you that gave me work to do overnight?😠
“Sorry sir, i was busy during the midnight sorting out some files” i said.
“So are you the only one that worked in the midnight, i mean look at me i didn’t sleep a wink yesterday, here i am today still working not dozing off, that’s not excuse ” he said angrily. You better treat your insomnia, i said in my mind.😏
“I am so sorry sir, it won’t happen again ” i said.
“Let’s continue with the meeting ” he said without even answering me. After we were done with the meeting, i was going back to my office then i overheard some colleagues talking about the CEO birthday, which is tommorrow, they deliberating on the gift to give him, i had even forgotten about his birthday. The following day, when he came, we all sang birthday song for him ,he was so happy, my colleagues gave him their gifts, he thanked them, he was looking at me, why was he looking at me? I asked myself, after the celebration we all went to our offices, then Micheal called me, then i went to his office.
“You called me sir” i said. He was just looking at me, is there something on my face, or have you realised i am more beautiful than your fiancee 😏, i said in my mind.
“Where is your own gift? He asked. Was i supposed to get him a gift for his birthday🤔
