God, what a night. Kate is sure a fire cracker, every minute I spent with her was sheer bliss and despite all the good s*x I had with that b-tch Antonia, none of that could out match what I felt with Kate. She was amazing and she took me to cloud nine. I wondered what ill fate made me ditch for her Antonia, we could have been great together but alas things between us were not meant to be but at least now we have a chance.
After spending nearly half of the night sleeping in nothing but sheer bliss, I was awoken hours later in the morning by the sweet smell of hot cappuccino. Immediately I opened my eyes, I saw Kate sitting beside me holding two cups of hot cappuccino close to my face. Despite how rough she looked from last night’s fun, she was definitely sexy.

Kate β‘ Wake up sleepy head.

Kevin β‘ (yawns) Good morning Kate! You really how to brighten up a man’s morning.

Kate β‘ What can I say? He ate me good last night so I thought I’d return the favor.

Kevin β‘ Well, I miss already. Come let’s cuddle.

Kate β‘ I wish I could but I’ve got work and I have to be early. Go shower and get back to your wife.

Kate β‘ What? Is something wrong?

Kevin β‘ Why did you have to remind about that b-tch? I can’t go back to that house. Not after she’s done to me.

Kate β‘ No. No.. Get back to your wife and besides there’s no need for you to be sad. Just divorce this b-tch and then maybe we can give it a go.

Kevin β‘ Yeah. Shame I can’t spend the entire day with you indoors.

Kate β‘ Not a chance. I’m managing to walk as it is but if it’s any consolation, we can meet tonight.

Kevin β‘ Sure, I’ll be here.

Kate β‘ Hmm, look at you. Feeling so confident and sure.

Kevin β‘ Why not? As of today, I’m officially a free man. I can do whatever I want.

Kate β‘ Relax Kevin, what about the kids?

Kevin β‘ (sighs) I really don’t know. They’re not my problem anymore.

Kate β‘ Kevin, to them you’re their father.

Kevin β‘ For now but in the near future, I won’t matter to them.

Kate β‘ So you’re just going to push them away?

Kevin β‘ What do you want me to do Kate?

Kate β‘ Honestly, I don’t know either. It’s all up to you. Okay, okay, get your sexy grown a*s off my bed, I need to leave for work.

Kevin β‘ Fine. Have you taken your bath?

Kate β‘ No.. Want to join me?

Bathing with Kate was fun and despite her eagerness to get to work early, we managed to spend some time to do some naughty things to each other. I can’t remember the last time I shared a bath a woman and I’m sure I got to do all these things with Kate before I left for my own house.
After the bath, Kate and I got dressed, ate some meals together and then left her house promising to meet again later in the evening. Despite my current situation, I felt happy throughout the morning and even as I drove home, I had to turn on some cool to get some good vibes. I needed to enjoy the moment before I got home cause once I get there, things would be back to the way they were or so I thought.
Minutes later, I arrived home and as I expected my jolly good mood disappeared the moment I drove into my compound. After I alighted from the car, I brought out the keys to the house and headed straight to the main building to open it but as soon as I got there, I saw something unexpected.
The door of my house was open but broken into but open slightly. I hesitated for a while before I completely open the door and as soon as I got inside, I saw something that made freeze with shock. Just a few meters away from the center carpet was Antonia lifeless and bruised body. She was bounded both hands and feet not to mention the gag in her mouth. I stood feeling paralyzed for a while before I began to approach her steadily and as I got close, I saw her eyes open and in between her eyes was a gaping bullet hole. I had to vomit immediately I saw her. Despite seeing what was in front of me, I didn’t want to believe it. I just couldn’t. Antonia was murdered and it happened last night after I left her but what shocked me was how was the door opened perfectly without any force? The door has only one key and it was on me when I spent the night in Kate’s place. God, what do I do?
Suddenly in that moment, I felt someone’s presence behind me and as soon as I turned around, I realized that it was Antonia’s sister, Denise and two police men . She too froze as she saw her sister’s lifeless body and before I could try to calm her down, she gave a loud scream that went on for nearly 10seconds but this wasn’t nothing to what came next.

Kevin β‘ Jesus Christ Denise! Will you calm down?

Denise β‘ Murderer! You did this.
.
Kevin β‘ What? Are you crazy? I just came in and saw this myself.
.
Denise β‘ Liar! You killed her. You killed my sister! She told me what you did to her yesterday.
.
Kevin β‘ Oh really? Did she tell you that she cheated on me as well?
.
Denise β‘ So that’s why you killed her? Murderer! Officers arrest this man! He killed my sister.

Kevin β‘ Will you shut up? I didn’t kill your sister!!

Nothing I said convinced Denise. In fact, she kept shouting and shouting that I killed her sister. As for the policemen, they just arrested me and I didn’t resist cause I know what will happen if I do.Thankfully, one of my neighbors Sani who heard Denise’s cries rushed to my place first and saw what was going on . Sani is a high ranking police officer and he was just about to leave for work when he heard Denise’s cries.

Sani β‘ What’s going on here?

Denise β‘ Officer! Thank God. Arrest this man, he killed my sister.

Sani β‘ Kevin,.. Is this true?
.
Kevin β‘ No, it’s not. I just came home and found my wife dead and my sister in law walked in and blamed me for Antonia’s death.

Denise β‘ He’s lying officer!! He’s lying!

Sani β‘ KE! Will you shut up? Officers, tell me what happened?

Officer 1 β‘ Well sir, we came to arrest this man for assaulting his wife yesterday but as we came in, we saw him standing over his dead wife’s body.

Sani β‘ Did he hold any weapon in hand?
.
Officer 2 β‘ No sir, he just stood over her dead body.

Sani β‘ Kevin, tell me what happened!
.
As briefly as I could, I told Sani everything that happened last night including my sleep over at Kate’s house up to this present moment. Sani listened with rapt attention and as soon as I was done, he asked a very essential question.

Sani β‘ Where is the briefcase?

Kevin β‘ In my bedroom.
.
Sani β‘ What about your wife’s phone?
.
Kevin β‘ In my car.
.
Sani β‘ Hmm, so tell me Kevin, do you have any evidence to back up what you’re saying?

Kevin β‘ What are you talking about? I told you I spent the night in my ex”s house!

Sani β‘ Even still, you have to arrested as a suspect of murder.
.
Kevin β‘ This is ridiculous! I didn’t do this.
.
Sani β‘ I know you didn’t but you’ll to prove that until then, you’ll have to remain in police custody!

Kevin β‘ Okay, can I atleast call a lawyer?

Sani β‘ Sure.

Poor Kevin, how could such a good man end up this unfortunate situation? First, there’s the infidelity of his wife and now a suspect of murder. Yah Allah, if this man is innocent, let him be free and if he’s not, let him pay.
Shortly after Kevin’s arrest, I was notified of another gruesome murder that occured last night and the shocking thing was it was the man that Antonia was having an affair with. His own demise was even far worse than that of Antonia, when I saw his picture, I felt like I was going to throw up. His manhood was caught off and stuffed into his mouth and from what Kevin told me, there seem to be a connection. Presently here inside my office, the detective that was being assigned to the case appeared to brief me about his investigation and the clues he had found.

Andrew β‘ Good morning sir.

Sani β‘ Detective, have a seat.

Andrew β‘ Thank you sir.
.
Sani β‘ So what have you found out so far?
.
Andrew β‘ Honestly sir, it’s rather complicated. The suspect claims that he locked up his wife and went over to her lover’s house and dealt with him then he spends the night at his Ex’s house.. It sounds a bit ridiculous.

Sani β‘ Are you saying he did it?
.
Andrew β‘ Not exactly but here’s the funny thing, the suspect left his house at 11:50, and deceases sister said that the deceased called her at 12:10 to inform her that she was being assaulted.

Sani β‘ What about this ex that the suspect spent his night with?
.
Andrew β‘ I’ll check her out and see. Her statement might clear the suspect but there’s a possibility that they could be in on this.

Sani β‘ Kevin is a good man and he’s not capable of such a thing.

Andrew β‘ Personally sir, any man would have done such crimes if they were in this situation.

Sani β‘ Have you confirmed the contents of the suspect’s briefcase?

Andrew β‘ I did and everything is legit.
.
Sani β‘ Kai, that Antonia is a b-tch!

Andrew β‘ I agree.

Sani β‘ Her family are insisting that the case be taken to court.

Andrew β‘ Well, I’ll try to dig more and see what I can find.

Sani β‘ You do that, in the meantime I have some work to do.

After being detained by the police, Kevin sits in his cell thinking about his predicament. Hours had passed since he made calls to some of his family members telling them the situation he was in and yet none of them had shown up.
As Kevin was absorbed in his thoughts, he soon gets startled by his cousin’s presence. Feeling relieved by the sight of his cousin, Kevin smiles and the two began to communicate.

Michael β‘ Kevin! Sorry for coming late, I hate to find you a good lawyer.

Kevin β‘ It’s alright. You have no idea how glad I am to see you.
.
Michael β‘ I’m sorry you had to be in this shit man.

Kevin β‘ I didn’t do it.
.
Michael β‘ I know you didn’t. Don’t worry, our family is going to do everything in their power to get you out of here. That I guarantee.

Kevin β‘ I certainly hope so. I’m freaking out as it is.

Micheal β‘ Chill cousin, everything is going to be okay.

Kevin β‘ You said you brought a lawyer?
.
Micheal β‘ That’s right. She’s right outside.
.
Kevin β‘ She? Please tell me it’s not one of your side chicks?

Micheal β‘ Relax. She’s cool. Rachael, come on in.

In that moment, Kevin gasps as he sees the lawyer that will represent his case. She was stunning and beautiful but despite her lovely gorgeous physique and looks, Rachael was a no nonsense person and strict woman by standard.

Rachael β‘ Greetings Kevin, your cousin has told me all about you.
.
Kevin β‘ Nice to meet you too.
.
Rachael β‘ I’ve heard about your case and…
.
Kevin β‘ My case.. I only told the police!
.
Rachael β‘ Oh, you don’t know? Well, your wife’s family are spread the news like wild fire. Everyone now sees you as a villain. You’re famous Mr. Kevin.

Kevin β‘ Jesus Christ! Why is this thing happening to me? I’m the victim here.

Rachael β‘ So you say! Tell me Mr. Kevin, did you kill her?

Kevin β‘ No but I wish I did.
.
Rachael β‘ I want you to tell me everything. What really happened?

After a brief moment of silence, Kevin narrates everything to Rachael who listens with rapt attention and as soon as he was done, the lawyer smiles coyly cracking her knuckles.

Rachael β‘ My God, this case is going to be very interesting. Where is the briefcase if I may ask and your wife’s phone?
.
Kevin β‘ They’re all in the hands of the police.
.
Rachael β‘ Good. Don’t speak to anyone about this.
.
Kevin β‘ I already did. The inspector is my neighbor. He was there when I was arrested. I think he believes me.
.
Rachael β‘ Don’t be foolish Mr. Kevin. In the situation you’re in, don’t trust anybody. I’m going to do everything in my power to see thay you’re innocent. In the mean time, I’m going to do some digging.

Kevin β‘ But you’re a lawyer.
.
Rachael β‘ And a woman and women are very good at finding information. Sit tight Mr. Kevin, I’m going to speak to the inspector and see if I can get your a bail or possibly a house arrest.

Michael β‘ What about your pay?
.
Rachael β‘ We’ll discuss that but for now, I need to get to work.

Moments later, Rachael finds her way to Inspector Sani’s office and as soon as she gets there, she notices that he’s alone in his office making some phone calls. Without waiting for him to finish the call, Rachael matches her way into the office and sits on the chair staring at the inspector intently.
After finishing his call, Sani observes Rachael for a while before asking her what her business was and she doesn’t hesitate to tell to him.

Sani β‘ Good afternoon miss, what can I do for you?
.
Rachael β‘ I’m Kevin’s lawyer and I’m here to retrieve his briefcase. I’m trying to find something that might prove his innocence in this case. Oh, I would also like to tell see his wife’s phone.
.
Sani β‘ Okay, I’ll get someone to get them for you.
.
Rachael β‘ Oh, before you do that sir. I would like to know what transpired at my clients house? He said you were there when he got arrested.
.
Sani β‘ Yes I was. I’m his neighbor. Kevin is good man and hardly gets into trouble. In fact, he never gets into trouble with his wife either. However I was surprised when his sister in law blamed him for the murder of his wife.

Rachael β‘ And you believe her?
.
Sani β‘ Honestly no. Nobody would commit this kind of murder without disposing of the body sooner and besides there was no print on the wife’s corpse. A man like Kevin could never do this.

Rachael β‘ So you’re saying someone killed his wife?
.
Sani β‘ Theoretically, yes. Whoever killed Kevin’s wife is a skilled killer and a calculated person and I’m pretty sure that the person that killed his wife, also butchered her lover.

Rachael β‘ Thank you for you time inspector.
.
Sani β‘ You’re welcome. If you need anything else. Just ask?

Rachael β‘ Actually, there’s something that I need.

Sani β‘ What is that?
.
Rachael β‘ I would like to know the name of the detective that is assigned to this case.

Sani β‘ It’s detective Andrew.

Rachael β‘ Andrew huh? Where can I find him?
