I paused abruptly immediately I felt the touch of the knife that was held to my throat. I started shaking vigorously like a loosed leaf that was being plastered to a vibrating grinding machine and balls of sweat started forming on my forehead.
I was so sure that he is going to slit my throat if I make any obnoxious step or refuse to answer his questions.
“Why did you repeat the same mistake you did twenty five years ago and why do you keep on locking me inside the wardrobe”, the teddy bear asked me for the second time whilst tightening his grips around my neck.
I was just about to answer him when the entrance door screeched open and my husband entered the room with two big nylons which contains the stuff they brought from the eatery.
Just like the speed of a thunderbolt, the teddy bear dropped down lifeless immediately my husband and daughter entered the living room. The teddy bear returned to his former innocent and lifeless form immediately they entered the room.
The knife dropped on my chest and landed on my brea.st immediately the teddy bear fell on the ground. I did well to hide the knife from the sight of my husband and he didn’t see the it nor suspect anything.
Valery ran to me immediately with lot of excitement and happiness.
“Daddy just bought two new teddy bears for me, Mummy” Valery screamed in excitement while showing her two new teddy bears to my face.
I got a bit happy and perturbed immediately I saw her new toys, but my happiness over shadowed my fear because I now have a pertinent reason to dispose the former evil teddy bear, and now I’m going to make sure I burn every last piece of the teddy bear.
I grinned mischievously and eyed the teddy bear that was lying innocently on the ground as if he didn’t know what has done to me some few minutes ago.
I smiled to myself after this thought and I directed the smile to my husband so that he wouldn’t know or suspect what I was smiling at.
“Awwwnnn. Let me see your new toys,” I said while stretching my hands towards Valery. I took them from her and I started to rub their bodies simultaneously as if I was looking for something.
“Now that you have two new bigger toys, let us dispose the former one. It is now too dirty for you to use it”, I said while eyeing the evil teddy bear. I wouldn’t want it to leave my sight for fear of the unknown.
“Ok, Mummy,” My daughter agreed immediately and I could swear that I saw the teddy bear frown immediately my daughter agreed. I didn’t pay too much attention to it though as I returned the teddy bear to my daughter and stood up to welcome my husband.
We sat down thereafter to consume the snacks they bought from the eatery and this time, I carried the teddy bear and I placed it directly in front of me. I also made sure there was no sharp object beside or behind him.
“Give me some few minutes dear”, I excused myself as I walked to the car to carry a keg of petrol and a lighter.
I carried the teddy bear and took it outside, into the compound and surprisingly, my husband didn’t even question me. That made my mission easier though.
I took the teddy bear into the compound and I poured all the 5 litres of petrol that was in the keg on the teddy bear. I didn’t even mind if the petrol I poured was too much, I just wanted to make sure the teddy bear get burnt to ashes.
I watched patiently as the teddy bear caught fire and I waited for almost 30 minutes, watching the teddy bear burn.
I smiled happily after making sure the teddy bear has burnt to ashes.
“That serves you right, bish”, I said after packing the ashes. I felt fulfilled, free and happy that the teddy bear didn’t harm any of my family.
I went inside to see my husband and daughter watching a popular TV series of Game of thrones and I joined. We watched for about 50 minutes before we all fell asleep. The time was 2:30pm already.
I prepared lunch immediately we woke up and I did few works on my laptop while my husband was busy cleaning our cars and my daughter was playing with her two lovely teddy bears.
We’ve had our dinner and everyone has just gone to bed when I became thirsty. I got out of our room to get myself a drink from the kitchen.
I was still opening the refrigerator when I saw an unusual short figure that was obviously shorter than my daughter and the figure was blocking the entrance.
“Do you think you can defeat me by burning my vessel”, the figure said.
I closed the refrigerator immediately to get a clearer view and it was one of the teddy bears my husband just bought, and this time, the teddy bear was holding two knives.
