What happened to Angel? Part 3
It wasn’t a small problem. My husband’s family almost got me arrested and sued for defamation of character. They even insisted that myself and my children gets evicted from the house.
In all of this, my husband kept mute. The only thing he said was that they allow me stay in the house, since he doesn’t want his children to suffer for the sins of their mother.
The most painful part was that, my Angel was forgotten just like that. Nobody was talking about her death. All their focus was on my false allegation.
“No na! My Angel doesn’t deserve what happened to her. She was never sick. She was the happiest when my husband brought in the foodstuffs. She is the closest to my husband and I. My baby deserved to be mourned. Why is no one talking about her death?”. I cried bitterly within.
I got ostacised by everyone like I was a lost cause. Neighbors stop greeting me.
My children weren’t spared.
“Don’t play with her children o. I don’t want her blaming you if anything happens to them”. Parents warned their children.
I began to lose my mind. I considered moving out but to where?
I had no choice but to go beg my husband. I knew I would get ridiculed and mocked by his family but I was ready to bear all of that.
I went to his family house. I managed to sneak inside the house.
There was no one in the palour so I just laid on the floor crying.
The first person that entered the palour was my husband. He was surprised to see me.
I just held his legs whilst pleading with him to forgive me.
His mother joined us in the palour and started making a scene. Everyone gathered in the palour. While some sympathized with me, others were hurling insults at me.
I didn’t utter any word of protest. I still remained on the floor sobbing.
At the end of the day, my husband insisted he will forgive me only if I come with my family to beg even when his mother was strictly against him taking me back.
I thanked him and his family and left.
It was a thug of war before I was able to convince my parents to follow me to go beg my husband and his people.
After begging upon begging, my husband finally forgave me. We both went back home together.
The truth is that, I became really distant to my husband. I still feel he shouldn’t be trusted but there is no evidence to back up my suspicion.
A week later, Janet, Angel’s immediate elder sister ( my third child) woke up with a swollen leg. Again, this was mysterious because she was perfectly fine and was jumping around the palour just a night before.
My husband and I carried her from one hospital to another. Scans couldn’t point out what was wrong with her leg.
Before evening that day, the leg was already bringing out pus. I watched my baby groan in uncontrollable pain.
Someone recommended a native doctor ( not a witch doctor) and we took her there.
The native doctor administered some white substance on her leg and even used razor to cรบt the leg to bring out the bad blood from it. It was really painful to watch my always happy and cheerful daughter cry out as loud as she did that day.
He gave us some herbal concoctions and assured us that she will be fine. We left optimistic.
The next morning just like Angel, Janet never woke up ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
I fainted twice and still my baby was gone for life.
What is really happening to my family???
To be continued…
