She stopped. “Silas why are you following me”
Silas became scared wondering how she knew he was following her without looking back.
“I just came out to check on my fowls”
“Fowls? And you dress beautifully” Both went back without saying a word to each other.
“Mother where is Nicho,” he asked after meeting his absence.
“I should be asking you, I left both of you here”
“Nicho! Nicho!!” He checked under the bed. He ran outside too but there were no traces of him.
He waited impatiently till dawn and headed to the bar, but the other group members were not there, his phone rang it was Joyce, calling him.
“Hello, have you done what I ask you to do,” she asked.
“Give me some time it will be quicker if you can tell me why you want her dead”
“If you want to know, then ask her” She ended the call. Silas went back to Pamela’s house.
Favour’s belly kept protruding, people call her vengeance because of the verse she will not stop reciting; “The Lord will render vengeance to my adversaries and will be merciful unto me” She was also fond of telling people to leave vengeance for God, she had a particular provision shop she would go to beg for food. The owner of the store would always give her anything she wanted, as time went on they became friends.
Silas met Pamela crying “What happened,” he asked
“Two other members are dead, they shot one yesterday, two were shot today” she cried
“That’s so sad, “Who is killing them”
“I don’t know, seems some persons are after us”
“That so bad, but do you also cry like this when you kill other people, you feel for your victims too?”
“Shut up your mouth Silas” she yelled “Enough of your rubbish in this house, because I didn’t ask where you are coming from, did you sleep in this house last night, you are stepping on my toes”. She glared at him, as she was fuming in anger blood drooled out of her nose, she cleaned it quickly with a handkerchief
“Sorry hope you are fine”
“If you are concerned drive me to the hospital” she flung her car key at him still covering her nose with the handkerchief
Silas drove her quickly to the hospital. While the doctor was attending to her, he went out to call, he called one of Nicho’s boys
“Hello, how far, is Nicho there with you?”
“No, he followed you last night”
“Do you guys go for any operation”
“No, we went back home since you and Nicho did not return”
He ended the call, “who now killed the two people that died last night, could it be that some other people are after their life, where is Nicho?” He inhaled deeply.
One of the Nurses walked up to him “Sir, the Doctor wants to see you”
