Episode 1

My eyes were fixed on the road, silence engulfed the car we were in. I thought of the burden I was going to be into but one thing was sure, I wasn’t going to let anyone come to disrupt my once joyous and free life.

She stared out of the window, never made to look at me. We were total strangers to one another but my parents forced our marriage. Mom had always been on my neck, I had no choice than to accept the wife she craved for me to have.

Getting married to a total stranger was off, but nevertheless, she’ll be what she is to me, a stranger. The road was busy now, the city life came into being. Driving all the way from my village with a strange wife was a heck of a experience.

Swerving the wheel of the car, we took another route, this was leading directly to the new house l had bought out in a rush. I wasn’t a bachelor anymore, a change of environment would be nice.

Parking my car in front of the house, I got out of the car and went to the boot to take out our luggages. “Gwen!” I called out as l made to pack out the stuffs, I received no response.

“Holy Sh.it!” I exclaimed, “she’s a bush girl, she doesn’t even know how to open the door of a car,” I said rubbing my palm against my forehead.

I went over to her, she was still seated with eyes all confused. I opened the car and gestured for her to come out. She timidly came out, looking downwards all the way, I regretted tying the knot with her.

Sara was the girl of my dreams but mom never wanted me to get married to a city girl. Mom meant the world to me, making her happy wasn’t much of a deal.

Getting into the house, all looked so stuffy and dusty, I never made any clean up, I simply bought it and went on to get married. Gwen stood like a statue, looking all around the house. Of course, she’s probably amazed with the amount of work to be done.

Going up the stairs, I packed in our bags and l slid into the couch that was there. I was obviously exhausted and Gwen just kept taking her time to observe the room. I yawned lazily as l kept my gaze on Gwen.

Gwen suddenly gave a loud scream as she went falling into an opening where she had stood, l jerked up from where l had laid as l ran towards the spot, she was gone.

I went dashing out the room and wenf falling down the stairs. Cries ranted the air as l went rolling off the staircase. It came more deafening than it was as I got the floor level.

My whole body shook like it had been deepened into ice. I dragged myself on the floor as l couldn’t get myself together to stand on my feet.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs but I saw no one. My whole body kept fidgeting as l couldn’t figure out what was after me. I wanted to scream but didn’t know who to call for help.

“Gwen!” I screamed out as l couldn’t believe what I had seen, I called out countless times but no one answered, I bit my lips badly as l thought this would be my last day on Earth.

The footsteps came more louder, my heart skipped beats as the sounds intensified. l forcibly got myself to my feet and went limping for the door. Luckily, it wasn’t locked, I used every force in opening it.

My heart jumped into my mouth as Gwen stood by the door. She looked straight into my eyes and suddenly gave a grinning smile with blood dropping down from her mouth.

I screamed as l went falling to the ground, my head came aching so badly I wished I could disappear. “It’s just getting started,” Gwen said as she stood looking at me.

Jerking off from the couch l had laid on, sweat had covered my whole body. Gwen sat down next to me, looking at me right in the eyes.
