Mama’s POV
Come on..don’t be a coward..it’s just an ordinary paper..just make everyone think the child is for my son period..I’m not asking you to kill someone here..if you want..I can double the money..for you..what do you say..?”I asked and the doctor paused..for a while..I know this is a bit difficult for him but i need answers..
“Talk to me..why are you silent?”Mama asked..
“Hmm..okay..I accept..your offer..”
“Very good..that’s my doctor..”I say smiling..there’s nothing money cannot buy.. finally I got a grandchild..At last that foolish opportunist of a woman is finally getting what she deserves..I can’t wait to see the dissapointment on her face when she finds out Olamma is having Arnold’s child..
Arnold’s POV โฃ๏ธ
“I’ll need your blood for the test we are about to do..”The doctor says arranging the injection ๐.
“Okay..let’s do it then..”I say.. stretching forth my hands..I can’t take it anymore..I just want the truth to come out..I haven’t decided what’s going to happen when it turns out the child is actually mine..I don’t know what to do about all these..I’m still in love with my wife but i also need a heir as well..even if the child is mine..I won’t let Abby out of my life..I can’t do that..no.. Abigail will always be the love of my life..
Olamma’s POV
I’m so weak..having this baby feels like a blessing to me..I hear the tiny voice of my baby crying as the nurses took him away..Mama walked in..smiling..I hope she has done what needs to be..
“Mama..”I say trying to sit right on the bed..
“Calm down my future daughter in law..relax..there’s nothing to worry about..the deed has been done..”Mama says smiling..
Just then Arnold walks in…
“Olamma.. congratulations..”Arnold says..
“Congratulations..??I should be the one congratulating you two..after all you guys are the owner of the baby..”Mama says folding her arms .
“We don’t know about that for sure..”Arnold says..
“But soon we’ll find out and you ll see that Olamma isn’t a liar..”Mama says..
Just then Arnold phone rings..as he excused us..
“Mama..what did you do..?”I asked..
“It’s better you don’t know for now..all you need is to get some rest.. for now..”Mama says..as Arnold walked back in..
“I have to go..now..Abby needs my help with the kitchen sink..”Arnold announced..
“Don’t tell me that could be more important than your baby..? c’mon..my son..don’t be ridiculous..my Gosh..!”
“Think whatever you want but I need to go..now..”Arnold says..
“Really..I give birth to your child today..and this is how you repay me..?at least spend the night here and for once..treat me better..”I say hoping he’ll change his mind..
“Listen to her..your baby and your future wife needs you..don’t be such a stubborn person..”Mama says..
“Alright..enough..I’ll call the plumber instead..”Arnold finally said as I and Mama smiled at eachother..

Abigail’s POV
“Okay..it’s fine..I’ll just handle it on my own..”I say through the phone before hanging up..
Yeah..I have to understand that he needs to be with his baby..and I shouldn’t be obstructing their moments..I just can’t wait for tomorrow and the results to finally come out..I’m so nervous right now..
I paced back and forth in the living room eyes fixed on the wall clock..it’s almost 9pm and I’ll be expecting the plumber Tobi here anytime soon..
I need to wash the dishes and the sink isn’t good enough that’s because Olamma has been stocking food inside it..I tell her whenever she washes..she filters the dirt’s and throw the water away..but no..she doesn’t listen..she never listens..
I heard a knock on my door as I rushed straight up to open it when I saw a stranger..right in front of me..I don’t even know where this one come from..this isn’t tobi..I was expecting to see tobi but I’m seeing a totally different person .
“Hi..are you the plumber..?”I asked..
“Yes ma..confused right..?”He asked..
“Yeah.. because I don’t know you..”I say still blocking the entrance of the house.
“Well Tobi had something to do..that’s why oga send me..my name is Emeka..”the guy said..
“Oh..please help me with this..I beg you..come in..please..”I say creating space for emeka to enter .
“Over here..”I leaded him to the kitchen as he follows behind.
“Please help me fix it..”I say..
“Don’t worry..I’ll do it well for you..”Emeka assured me.
Few minutes later..Emeka joins me in the living room..
“I’m done ma..”
“So fast..hope you did it well..?”I asked standing up from the couch.
“Yes..you can come try it..”Emeka says as we both went to the kitchen..I switched on the tap checking if the sink was leaking and thankfully it wasn’t..
“Good..good job..how much do I pay..you..now?”I asked as we walked out of the kitchen to the dining area..I brought two glasses of juice as I give to emeka.. he didn’t hesitated in drinking it..but he took time in answering my question..
“How much do I pay you..?”I asked Emeka again..
“My baby..”he says.
“You..r..what..I don’t understand..”I say very confused..
“I want you to give me my baby”..
“Emeka..please stop this..what do you mean..your baby?”I asked..
“I’m the father of the child.. Olamma is carrying..I’m the real owner of that baby..”
What..no..no..this isn’t possible..this cannot be true..no..no..are my ears hearing differently..is this a dream or what..a stranger shows up from no where claiming to be the father of olamma’s baby..this is insane…I couldn’t say a word..I just stared at Emeka for a while before he breaks the silence…
“I know it’s hard to believe..but I have something to show..you..”Emeka says dipping his hands in his pocket..as he brings out five different pictures of himself and Olamma… together..
“No..these are just pictures..how I’m I suppose to believe this..?”I asked..
“Then find out..Olamma was paid by your wicked mother in law to destroy your marriage..please I beg..you need to stop all these nonsense..you’re the only one who can put an end to all these..”Emeka says and I don’t know what to do…I don’t know if he saying the truth because I don’t know him from anywhere but..
“If you claim you know Olamma..why isn’t she with you..?”I asked .
“Because..she thinks I’m not enough for her..she thinks I can’t be able to take care of her and the baby..”Emeka says..and it kind of makes sense.
“Hmm..this is really complicated..I don’t know.. what to say..or think..”
“It’s difficult but you need to stop all these from happening..”
“But how..how..can I stop all these..I’m sure by now mama must have paid the doctor off the same way she bribed me..”I say confidently..knowing fully well what Mama can do..
“He isn’t the only doctor out there..you need to do something..and I think I know the way out..”
“So.. what’s the plan..?” I asked…
The Following Morning โฃ๏ธ
Naomi’s POV โฃ๏ธ
I watched Nelson signing the divorce papers reluctantly as my lawyer takes the documents..
“You guys are now officially separated”The lawyer declared..
“Thanks so much lawyer..”
We are at the courthouse and this is the final touch of our divorces..at last I’m free from this man standing beside me..
Just then Nicolas arrived..he said he’ll be here and he kept his words…I saw the jealousy in nelson face when nicolas walked up to me.. Nicolas hugged me tightly before kissing me on my lips..I wasn’t expecting that..but I enjoyed it anyways..
“How are you doing..?”he asked..
“I’m good..I think we re done here..let’s go..”I say..
“Yeah..sure..”Just as Nico and I were about to leave.. Nelson interrupted..
“Naomi..can I talk to you for a sec..privately..?”he asked.
“Uhmm..I’ll excuse you both..”Nicolas says but I stopped him.
“No..Nico..you aren’t going anywhere..please stay.. Nico has the right to stay here because he is a part of me now..”I say as nelson smirked..
“Whatever..I just wanted to tell you to please let me see my daughter when ever I want..don’t keep her away from me..”Nelson pleaded sounding like a good person..
“For sure..if it’s ana you worried about..then no problem..you can come see her whenever you want.. after all she’s our daughter..”I say..
“Nelson..the fact that we’re divorced doesn’t mean I won’t let you see your daughter.. you’ll always remain the father of our child and that will always be the bond we once shared..”I say feeling a bit pity for Nelson..he chose this part and life goes on..
“Can I talk to him for a sec too..?”Nelson asked..
“Sure..baby..I’ll wait for you outside..”I say excusing the both of them..
“So..what’s it you wanna talk about?”Nicolas asked..
“Uhm..Naomi is a very good woman..she’s rare..”Nelson says..
“I know..that..”Nicolas answered..
“It’s hard to find a woman as decent and loving as she is..”Nelson says..
“Yeah..I imagined how come you’ll treat your wife badly and not let her fulfil her dreams of being independent..you hurt her so badly to the extent you even cheated..you took away everything from her..”Nicolas says..
“Yeah..I was fool..I wasn’t thinking straight..I let the devil into my home..I did all those things..and I’m very sorry for that..I want you to please take care of Naomi..”Nelson says..
“Don’t worry nelson because I’m already doing that..”Nicolas says walking out on Nelson…..
