The Evil Bridesmaid episode 8

THE EVIL BRIDESMAID

CHAPTER EIGHT

It had been two days since Miranda was discharged from the hospital. She was in a terrible condition, so we made sure to keep our distance for the time being to allow her to heal.

Willy, on the other hand, no longer had time for Patience because the voice of his sister in his dreams had intensified. He grew paler every day. His eyes showed a lack of sleep, and his body appeared frail and sickly.

One evening, he came home and insisted we go talk to Miranda.

“Babe, I’m sorry, but I can’t be patient anymore. My life is at risk.”

“Babe, you know well that Mr. Bichong won’t let us talk to his fiancée.”

“What fiancée are you talking about? The same person who will die soon. We need to hurry and talk with them before things get out of hand.”

I had reluctantly agreed, but I wasn’t comfortable. The girl in question was in deep pain. Bringing up the past would only add more salt to her wounds. It would only hurt her more.

We made our way to Mr. Bichong’s house, entered his gate, and then knocked on his door.

Mr. Bichong opened the door.

“Hello, Sir,” I greeted.

“Hey, Miss Trisha! Come in,” he replied. We followed him, and he ushered us to our seats.

“Please make yourself comfortable,” he said, pointing at a couch.

“To what do I owe this visit, and who is this?” he asked, pointing to Willy.

“Pardon my manners, sir. This is my boyfriend, Mr. Williams… He is the owner…”

“I am the sister of Lisa, the girl who was pushed down from a high floor on her wedding day.”

“Oh, yes! I remember, the girl whose death looked almost the same as my late wife.”

“Exactly, sir. In fact, that’s the reason why we’re here,” Willy said.

“What do you mean?”

“Sir, lately, I have been having sleepless nights, dreaming about my deceased sister crying out for help and calling me. I decided to consult a dream interpreter who later explained everything to me and warned me to find a solution to it lest it starts affecting my entire generation.”

“Okay, but I still don’t understand. What has all this got to do with me and my late wife?”

“Your late wife was friends with my sister since their secondary school days. In fact, not only were they friends, but they also had a group of five girls who were all friends, among whom was Miranda.”

“Miranda, you say?”

“It so happens that she is the only one who could give us some useful information that may lead to the discovery of what happened in the past and what’s currently happening now,” Willy explained further.

He went in and called Miranda, who carried her tired body outside to see us.

After telling her what the dream interpreter said, she burst into tears.

“I didn’t mean to do it. I…” Her crying intensified as Mr. Bichong tried to comfort her.

“What are you talking about, Miranda?” I asked.

“It’s true what the dreamer said about friendship and betrayal. We were six good friends back then in secondary school.”

According to Miranda, there was a tale of six friends who basically loved each other and would do anything for each other. They always fought their enemies together, never allowing a boy to scatter their friendship. These girls were practically inseparable. They were all intelligent, hardworking, and so they never left anyone behind.

Years had passed, and they were now in the university and all grown up. Ella, Lisa, Miranda, Vanessa, Loise, and Quincy were their names. Their love as friends grew even stronger until one day when the devil decided to step in and sow confusion.

Miranda was, in fact, the leader of these girls. She set all the rules and dispatched them. There was a guy named Ramsey whom Miranda was head over heels in love with. She told her crew about this guy, and they supported her to go for him, except Quincy, who advised her not to throw herself at a man just because she liked him.

Miranda went ahead and asked this guy out, but he rejected her in public. She was so embarrassed, but her feelings for the guy didn’t go away. She threw away her self-esteem as a woman and pursued him.

The guy, on the other hand, had started developing feelings for Quincy. He was scared of approaching her because he knew her friends would obviously make her hate him since he had rejected Miranda.

Despite everything, Ramsey asked Quincy out, and as a result, she rejected him. Not because she didn’t like the guy but because Miranda, one of her best friends, was equally interested in the guy and had made it known to them. Ramsey was a very handsome young man who was fair in complexion, had yellow hair, and blue cuticles. Apart from that, his personality traits made girls literally drool over him. He only had eyes for Quincy.

Quincy could not betray her friend, so she went ahead and told them about Ramsey asking her out. Miranda, who was so angry, saw it as an opportunity to deal with Ramsey and make him run after her. So she cajoled Quincy into accepting Ramsey, not knowing that Quincy had feelings for Ramsey.

Miranda’s plan was for Quincy to date Ramsey and, after a while, become rude and ill-treat him so that he would run to Miranda. Miranda’s plan backfired as Quincy opted on so many occasions to stop. She tried but couldn’t succeed as she fell in love with Ramsey. Miranda was angry but kept it within her. She had other plans for Quincy, which she wanted to execute if and only if Quincy and Ramsey broke up and Quincy entered into another relationship.

Unfortunately for her, it did not happen. Quincy and Ramsey, in fact, after three years of being together, decided to get married. Miranda was so angry that she turned her friends against Quincy. She went behind Quincy’s back and told her other friends that Quincy had said a lot of hurtful things about them and that she would disassociate herself from them the moment she got married. Miranda went ahead and made their friends hate Quincy.

On Quincy’s wedding day, they were all made bridesmaids, but none of them were made maid of honor. Quincy gave that position to her younger sister, and Miranda used it as an opportunity to slander her even more.
