Tears started dropping from my eyes immediately I saw one of the corpses staring intently into my face. I was obviously too scared to scream and the only thing I could do was to cry.
I knew that I was staring at my death and it was as if I was staring at a basket of onion because the more I kept on looking into his eyes, the more the tears from my eyes increased.
The thought of my boss’s safety was no longer on my mind, I was more concerned with my own safety at that moment.
I was already devising a master plan on how to unlock the container, run outside and probably get eaten by the monster that was waiting for me outside. I was at the verge of opening the door when I realised that there was another corpse staring at me.
I paused abruptly after seeing the second corpse and the other corpse wasted no time in taking actions as he stood up immediately he saw me and he started touching the other dead bodies that was piled on each other.
The bodies he was touching started to get up almost immediately he touched them and it was as if they were sleeping earlier, and he was waking them up from their slumber. Another unbelievable, unimaginable, unexpected, unusual, unanticipated and unforeseen thing that happened was that the other severed parts that were scattered started assembling back and the severed heads were moving to the dissected legs, and they all came back to form a whole person.
I knew that I had to run at that moment and any more delay can claim my life. I stood up swiftly as if I was a zombie too and I unlocked the door of the container within 5 seconds.
I jumped out of the container without closing the door and I started running as if I had been training for the past 10 years for that particular run.
I didn’t wait to close the container after my escape and all the corpses started trooping after me in hot pursuit. I was three times faster than them, so there was lot of space between us.
I was spinning my eyes around frantically while running in order to check if the flying monster wasn’t anyway near me. As I was running, I was scrutinizing my surrounding.
I wasn’t actually running aimlessly this time, I was running towards the rear exit, hoping that I’ll be able to unlock it since the main exit has been locked.
I took the next turn that led directly to the exit door and I kept on running till I bumped into my boss. We fell to the ground immediately we clashed into each other and we started gasping for breath.
“Where are you coming from boss. I just escaped from about 20 walking corpses now and I’m running to the exit door”, I said while massaging my head.
“Where do you say you’re running to again?”, my boss replied almost immediately.
“The rear exit”, I answered.
“Why do you think I’m running with a clenched fist and shoeless feet?”, he asked.
“I have no idea”.
“There are about 50 of those things over there and they are running after me now, one of them took my shoes. I tried to escape through the rear exit a while ago, and I saw all of them there waiting for me”, my boss explained while standing on his feet to prepare for another race.
That apparently explains everything. We have been trapped in-between the walking corpses and they are about 70 of them coming after us from both sides.
I was still trying to digest the news and the shock that came with it when I heard a loud rumble that was followed by roar. Then i saw them. About 50 of them started running towards us from both sides and one of them was even holding a bottle of beer.
