The Container episode 3

I momentarily went dumb and motionless immediately I spotted the hanged body of my boss. He was hanged upside down and blood was dripping out of his mouth to the ground, which suggested that he was killed mercilessly before he was finally hanged.

I couldn’t turn my head or move a muscle for about 5 seconds because I was too shocked and scared to do that. But that was not the important issue for me at that moment. The important question I was yet to find answer to was; “Who was the man walking beside me earlier. Is he my boss, and the person that’s hanged here is not my boss”?.

My heart started beating one million times in one second as I was gradually turning my head, hoping to see my boss beside me.

I turned my head eventually and I was surprised to see my boss beside me. Nothing changed about him and I momentarily looked at his wrist to check if he still has his watch on. The watch was still there, shining and black as usual. That confirms it that I was walking with my boss and the dead one is probably a monster.

I tapped him and I called his attention to his hanged doppelganger.

He cowered behind me immediately he saw the other version of him and he started mumbling some incoherent and inaudible words of prayer.

I was surprised by how scared he was. I never knew my boss can be that afraid because he usually talk of ghosts, monsters and armed robbers whenever we are driving at night and he even boasted that he has encountered and defeated good numbers of them.

As I was just about to calm my boss down and make him stand straight, the body that was hanged dropped on the ground with a very loud thud that shaked the whole foundation of the factory.

I gawked at the body in disbelief. “How could a body that’s this small make such a massive impact”,I asked myself in horror.

I was still immersed in ocean of disbelief and bewilderment about the doppelganger that just dropped on the ground when it began to float in the air. That was too much for us to bear and my boss has already wetted his trouser.

After floating to a certain level in the air, it stopped. We were still staring at it when it started to change gradually into a vrock. We didn’t even wait for it to change before we scampered into different directions. We were just too scared and confused to go through the same direction.

My boss ran to the left direction while I took the right.

I was running as if my life depends on my legs, and literally, my life really depends on them. I may probably die if I stop running.

After running for like ten minutes, I slowed down to catch my breath and easy my nerves of the tension and pressure. My body was so hot and it looks as if I’ve run round the factory 100 times.

I was still panting and trying to catch my breath when I started to hear “whoosh whoosh” behind me. Apparently, the monster was right behind me and it was flying above my head. I never knew how or when the spirit of Usain Bolt fell on me. What I knew was that I took off immediately I saw the monster above my head.

I was able to locate and unlock a container that was nearby. I jumped in as soon as I opened it. “At least, he should not be able to grab me here”, I thought to myself. I closed the heavy door of the container and I locked it immediately.

I sat down to catch my breath and I started wondering where my boss can be. I was still wondering and pondering over the safety of my boss when I behold the content of the container I just locked myself in.

The container was full of bodies and body parts. There was blood and body parts everywhere. This added to the one million questions I was yet to find answers to. ” How did the corpses get here. Are the corpse walking from one container to another themselves. Is this a kind of supernatural event. Has corpses filled every container in the factory”?.

I realized that I have entered the wrong container and I have moved from frying pan to fire when I saw one of the corpse staring directly into my face.
