OSUWAKE (Introduction)

One of the most heartbreaking part of this happenings was that my sister’s husband knew my dad was having an extra marital affair with a certain lady.

In short, my dad and his son-in-law were dating two ladies – who were friends to each and living in the same house.

My dearest sister suffered and endured alot in her marriage but it never bothered her husband because he was trailing the foot prints of his father-in-law – they were on the same page.

So, a mother and daughter, my mother and sister were suffering the same fate in connivance of their respective husbands.

The most annoying part of it was that the two lady friends at the center of the imbroglio were once hustlers in Lagos; upon loosing their ground on whatever trade they engaged in there, relocated to our hometown and made acquaintance with my dad and brother-in-law
respectively. A very close friend of theirs leaked the secret to me.

My brother-in-law impregnated the lady on two separate occasions and so, she had two kids for him.

After she was delivered of her second baby; she had serious issues and complications and as a result died in the process.

Her people compelled him to marry her and he paid her bride price after death. They also compelled him to sleep with the dead body for one day. They dressed like couples and his finger nails were cut and placed on her coffin. She was buried thereafter.

After she was buried, my brother-in-law became seriously ill and begged for his life. My sister took care of him together with the two kids left behind by his suppose late wife. She was the one nursing the baby and tending to her own kids too – she had two kids for her husband.

At some point, the first child of my sister’s husband late wife was kidnapped and till date, we haven’t heard anything about that child.

The second child, the baby was returned to her grandmother after my sister received series of threats from the her to hand over the baby to them. She did as they demanded to avert further troubles and confrontations. The baby died in their custody after two months.

My brother-in-law couldn’t survive the ailment. He transited to the great beyond after causing my dear sister so much pain and stress; running helter skelter in search of solutions to his woes.

And so, he died and was buried. Abandoning her with their two kids to her own peril.

A real life experience and written directly from the victim’s point of view.

A life story saturated with intrigues, controversies and life struggles.
