“The day came, the parents of the winners and the students who won were called, they all got to the hall provided for them to stay, wine, dine and receive gifts. The hall was beautifully decorated, there were high seats and principals’ seats. Also the first lady was present. Tomisin and her Dad came in looling sweet, so Temitope too. They were good and great, they got right in, Tomisin sat down next to Temitope and Seun, Tomisin’s dad went ahed to sit where parents were sitting. She was about to sit when he saw Olajumoke and was amazed. Both looked at each other closely.
What next!”
He went ahead and sat down, looking so cold. He had a short stare at the students present to receive gifts.
Olajumoke sat quietly, she had a flashback of when she saw her parents’ corpses and the way Seun talked the other day. She felt sad for a while and raised her head up, still glancing at him, Seun also tried to look at her then both eyes met again and both looked elsewhere.
The appreciation and commendation continued with the first lady’s speech, she came and stood on the podium, she gave the speech off-hand. After the speech, each student that participated was called one after the other with their parents, at the end of the day, Tope and Tomisin were given 1 million each free including a scholarship to study in any university of their choices.
It was indeed great.

‘That man dressed in white lace that The other girl, Tomisin followed’ she answered.
‘That her dad now, why asking me?’
‘Nothing for now son, congratulations’ she smiled but rather unpleasant.
‘Thanks’ he replied looking at her cold manner.
“It seems she knows that man jurh.” He thought in him and left her room.

Tomisin was sitting on the dinning chair, she was relaxing when her dad, Seun came near her and tapped her. She looked up at him.
‘Dad.’ She uttered.
He brought out a chair also and had his seat by her side.
‘That boy, em…. Temitope, was that his mum?’ He asked thoughtfully.
‘His mum? Why asking dad? Yes she was and she is.’ She replied.
‘Was! Never mind, don’t worry about that.’ He replied.

It was nine at night, Temitope sat down with his dad watching and listening to the news when they heard that GCE result had been released. Tope got afraid and went into his room. He laid on the bed in thought after hearing 29% passed in Nigeria. He picked up his phone and called Tomisin. He informed her and both planned to go and check the result the next day, they were both scared and prayed before they slept for a good result.
