Episode 8
…Frank and I were the initial lover when I was growing up, I and Frank had been the talk of the town because they all had known both of as inseparable lovers, we were both in a Grammar school at those days
But your Grandfather and my ,own Father were best of friends, in fact I knew Frank through your Father’s family because their family house and my own family house are just opposite each other.
Then, my father and your grandfather had promised themselves that for the continuous of their friendship, we their children have to marry. And before then, your father had showed interest in marrying me too but I have always been rejecting him because of Frank.
My father then called me to inform me of his plan marrying me off to his friend’s son, i initially thought he was joking until he told me
That if I did not marry his friend’s son which is your father he will disown me. I had to asked my father if he had forgotten the relationship I have with Frank and how Frank is to your father’s family but my father wouldn’t care. I thought it was your father that connived with his own father to convinced my father marrying him.
I had told Frank about it and there is nothing he can do about it, your Grandfather was the one training him because he has lost his both parents so he can only adhere to anything they say. He had told me that your grandfather had told him about it and has made him leave me even though that was not it.
I told my father about my education as I am not ready for any marriage because I am still in school and my father had told me that women’s work is only in the kitchen and care of their children. That no matter the education a woman might have she will put everything under the bed and remain in the house. So that was how my education stopped.
I had to interrupt mama to ask her some questions ? then I look straight in her eyes and asked “Is that why you will never let me go to school ? because of the poor orientation your father gave you? Mama girl’s education and liberation matters you should have been an exception” but instead of her to still feel remorseful, you blurted back by replying “Sh*t up you f*ol, my father didn’t send me to school, my dreams became halted just because they want to force me to marry your father, and you want me to allow you go to school?” I wanted to speak back but she continued her story again
“Soon enough I got married to your father and he deflowered me, the v*rginity i have been keeping for Frank, I had promised Frank that he will be the only man I will know but this was taken away from me. I had even told your father to atleast see me through the Grammar school but he insisted because he knew I will always get to see Frank .
soon enough I became pr*gnant, I had you and then call your father down that there will be no sexual intercourse between us anymore. Our issues has always get my father worrisome, my father doesn’t know the pain of making you leave someone you dearly love.
After My decision of never sleeping with your father again, I and Frank started our relationship secretly without your father knowing…
Well it was sad he caught us the day he had slummed but I have no regret about it, and that he died? I was never moved in fact it is just the best that happened. And of course you know the consequence of you spilling anything to the public, I will make you an outcast or kill you without traces. I had decided to revenge since my father died years ago and now I have Frank to myself and you this b@stard want to destroy it with lies, please leave my sight and never come with this story again”
She had said and immediately I stood up to leave and utter to her that I h@te her. She was not moved by my word and instead curse me more.
