EPISODE 15.
My sister’s introduction went well as planned. It was elaborate but I was not really into the events as I was thinking about my life and when I was going to introduced mine.
I had to tell my parents my real situations when they inquired. My mother told me to be patience and I should not do any stupid thing all because I wanted to get married early.
I spent a week with my parents and traveled back . it was the very day I got back to my house that Ikechukwu wanted us to meet as he had something important he wanted us to discuss.
I could not meet him that very day but later went the following day. I was surprised when IK told me to get pregnant for him so as to persuade his mother. I totally rejected the opinion immediately as I did not want to enter a family I was not welcomed in because my parents said it was better to have a bad husband than a bad in-law .
I told him to give me sufficient time as I could not get pregnant with our present condition. He was angry and gave me a deadline or else he follow his mother decision.
I left angrily but could not rest as he didn’t call me throughout that day and he was not picking my call. I was already thinking of how things would turn out for me if Ikechukwu leave me with my current age and I was already desperate to get married.
Ikechukwu called the next day and told me he was sorry as he was already fed up with everything and that was what he thought could be the solution to our problem . He told me he promised never to force me to do anything I don’t want to do and we continued our relationship.
I decided to follow his advise the following week . I went to his house and we did what we have to do even though he did not want to do it at first but after some persuasion he finally agreed.
This continued for a month before I found out I was pregnant and told him. He was happy and told me he was only going to tell his family once the pregnancy was five months as his mother won’t have a choice than to accept me.
I kept myself from my family as I could not allowed them to know I was pregnant without a proper wedding ceremony and my parents already warned me to leave for his mother.
I rejected various visit offers from my parents as I was hiding the pregnancy from them.
I moved in with Ikechukwu so I could get enough care I deserved and I was already without a job after I lost my job .
I was still helping women to find their voice in the society and stand out by fulfilling their purpose on earth..
Ikechukwu was so caring and could not hide his excitement as our seed was growing inside me,he would follow me to antenatal regularly . He was so understanding and patient with the various changes in my body and emotions as I was really down with various morning sickness.
We decided to visit his parents when my baby bump was already showing with the mind that his mother would accept me.
What do you think would be Ikechukwu’s mother reaction to my pregnancy, do you think she will finally approved of our union or not with my condition?

We got to his parents’ house even though I was nervous and I could not but hide it but Ikechukwu noticed and assured me it was going to be okay.I told him I felt like turning back because I have a feeling his mother will still not accept me with the pregnancy.
We got to Ikechukwu’s parents compound and I was met with the greatest shock of my life as his father had already joined his wife and I was not welcomed even from the gate.
Ikechukwu’s parents were surprised to see me with a developing baby bump as opposed to the last time they saw me.
His parents were so angry that they called me different bad names. His mother told me I was desperate and a cheap lady just like she said before. Her husband told me I just confirmed what his wife said about my tribe . I was already crying as they told me I thought getting pregnant will make them to accept me but I was wrong as I could not cajole them to accept me and my bastard.
Ikechukwu tried talking but was shut up by his family . He kept mute and allowed me to face the humiliation alone.
I got to find out the truth that his parents wanted him to marry one of their close friends’ daughter. This was the reason why I was rejected from the start and not just because of my tribe.
The girl and her parents were invited immediately and I was humiliated further when she came with her family. She was so rude even with her parents. My personality and integrity was questioned as I was told I was too cheap to get pregnant out of wedlock to a guy whose family rejected me. She told me I thought I could collect Ikechukwu from her with my pregnancy that was not sure that Ikechukwu was the one responsible. In all of these,Ikechukwu was just mute and told me to just condole and keep mute.
I felt the ground should open and swallow me as I have never been disgraced like this since I was born.
I was told that they will get back to me later after Ikechukwu’s marriage rite has been concluded with the lady.
I decided to leave and Ikechukwu could not even follow me .I cried openly as I could not hide my pain anymore.
It was really painful that I could lose out this way after I thought I had secured myself a good husband. I never knew our time was different.
I was stranded as I was not with any cash to return back to my base and I had to call IK that I needed money to return back as I was low on cash after the lost of my job.
He could not come but rather sent his younger sister and the lady his parents wanted him to marry. I was angry when I saw them. I had no choice than to collect the money.
The lady told me I was a gold digger and I planned on reaping where I did not sow . I was really disgraced at the park as she was just shouting so that passerby would hear us. I could not mutter a single word as I knew I was at fault.
I was sad throughout the journey and was more humiliated as Ikechukwu could not even message or call me even when I got home.
I cried like a baby when I got home and I wished I could just end my life and the baby growing inside of me .
It was during the week, one of my married friends visited me and saw my state . I was really depressed and I was already low on cash as I had other women to support. It was really a bad time for me .
I needed someone to pour out my mind to and she gave me a listening ear as I told her all I had faced,the humiliation and the rest.
She told me to tell my parents but I just could not after they already told me to end the relationship but I was stubborn.
I was still contemplating on telling my parents when I received a call from a strange number.
