Mr. Ojo’s Second Wife
Episode 3 &4
Don’t worry, my friend, I will keep helping you till you remove her from that house, Gloria said as they both laughed.
Maria was so happy when she returned home that day, knowing that she now had a way of making her wish come true.
I hope this will work,” she says as she throws herself on her bed, facing the ceiling.
The family wasn’t going the way Ojo expected; he thought his two wives were going to get along, but it turned out to be different.
The next morning, Ojo prepared himself for work. He then called out his two wives.
He sat the both of them down around himself and then began to speak.
Please, my dear wife, I know it will be hard for the both of you to get along.
But please, I don’t like the way you both are always quarreling; at least try to get along or have fun together. I want a peaceful family, not a problem.
Ojo told them a lot of things that could convince his wife to get along.
After so much discussion, Ojo left for work. A few minutes after he left, he returned again.
This time around, he came with a worried face. Honey, what are the problems? You look worried, or did you forget something? Esther asked as she saw her husband with a worried face.
Yes, there is a big problem. I can’t find the money kept in this briefcase.
Seriously? Are you sure you didn’t misplace it somewhere else? Esther politely asked.
No, I kept the money right in this briefcase; I found out it wasn’t there when I got to the office this morning.” I had to turn back immediately.
“Honey, you know I can’t take your money.
“I am not saying you stole my money; in fact, where is Maria? Ojo asked.
She is in her room.
Doing what exactly?
I don’t know
Maria heard her name from the parlor; she quickly rushed out and found Ojo standing right beside Esther.
Looking at their faces, she knew something was wrong.
Darling Is there any problem? I heard you scream my name. Maria asked
Look ! I don’t have time for jokes; where is the money I kept in this briefcase?
I kept five hundred thousand naira right in this briefcase, and I can’t find it anymore.
Come to think of it, ever since I have been living with you in this house, you have never complained about your money being missing. Now you brought another woman here, and your money is missing, and you are still suspecting me? Maria said angrily.
If there is anybody you should be suspecting, then that person is Esther.
Wait a minute, are you calling me a thief? Esther said
Darling I think we should check her bags; I don’t trust this Esther of a girl, Maria insisted.
Maria quickly went into Esther’s room and brought out some of her bags.
Maria searched the bags one after the other, but she couldn’t find any money. She then went into Esther’s room, brought out another bag, and started searching again.
This time around, Maria found the missing money in Esther’s bag.
Ojo shouted in shock. Esther, so you are really the one who stole the money, right?
No, my husband, you know I can’t do that. I swear, I don’t know how that money got into my bag, Esther said politely.
If you are not the one who hid the money in your bag, then who? I can’t believe you did this, Ojo said as he picked up the money and left the house.
Look at you! Criminal ! I knew it was you who took the money; let me better go and hide my own money before you steal it also, Maria said as she went back to her room.
Esther knew something was wrong somewhere; how did that money get into my bag? She said to herself,
Evening came, and Ojo returned from his office, but he was not happy with Esther at all. He didn’t love her like before again, and he is still angry with her because he thinks that Esther was the one who took his money.
Although, as time went on, he forgave her.
5 days later.”
That morning, Esther was not feeling well, so she went to the hospital for some checks. Only to find out that she was pregnant.
She was overwhelmed with joy when the doctor told her that she was pregnant.
She returned home and delivered the good news to Ojo.
You need to see how Mr. Ojo jumps up in happiness, so finally I will become a father too. This calls for celebration.”
When Maria heard that Esther was pregnant, she became afraid. So this woman is now pregnant, and I can’t afford to watch her give birth.
I really need to visit Gloria; she has to hear this. Maybe she might have a better plan.
