Life is sure full of surprises , I never thought I’d see Lily again.. The once little innocent girl I knew is now a stunning young lady, how fast time flies, it’s been days since I was discharged from the hospital and since then both of us have been trying to catch up on old times .. But the present Lily now was different from the one I knew before.. Everything about her has changed, her dressing, her appearance.. Everything, and not only that, I noticed that there was something she wasn’t telling me and whatever it is, it was bothering her mentally and physically.
Whenever I asked her if anything was bothering her, she would say no but I knew she was lying… I wanted to force her to tell me what she was hiding but she’s not a girl anymore, she’s her own woman, all I could do was pray for her.
Though I couldn’t make her tell me her secret, I couldn’t condone the way she was dressing, I was relieved to see she wasn’t hanging around with a bad bunch or taking any harmful substance into her body, cause that’s what most ladies of this generation are doing now.
Lily is like my own granddaughter and I was once her caretaker, I have to do my best to make her into a better woman.. One afternoon I was in the house resting inside my compound when Lily walked in with Hauwa, both of them were laughing and talking excited between themselves, I realized Lily’s dressing and I called to her.

I gave her a long blank stare looking at her body… Her dressing was totally too exposed, she wore a short black singlet that didn’t cover her stomach and her n*pples were showing on the fabric and not to mention her skin tight stretch pants π, Her bum was showing so much that it looked like she didn’t wear anything… This kind of dressing could tempt any man to do something sinful like rape which is now common in the city especially at nights.. May God forbid.

After that both Lily and hauwa went into the house, I just hope she does change her dressing….
Minutes later as I was resting comfortably on my mat, A man walked in and the man was none other than Mallam Sule, the errand dog of Alhaji Bature.

Halima β‘ May Allah curse your damn mouth… Tell your money grubbing pig of a boss that my house is not for sale… I’ve been living in this house since the day I was brought in as a newly wed, this is the only thing left that reminds me of my late husband, I’ll be damned if I’m to sell this house, tell your boss that I’m not parting with this house and no force in this world can do anything about it.

Just when I thought I had enough troubles for the day, Alhaji Bature himself came to my house in person later that night , the entire neighborhood gathered around to see the Alhaji.
Alhaji Bature is one of the most influential people in kano, and he was praised for his generous donations but like most rich men he donated to a cause that will benefit him in return, The Alhaji was nothing but a wolf in a sheep skin, pretending to be a man of good will but he’s nothing but a self centered fool.
I was having a meal with Hauwa when the Alhaji knocked at the door of my room, Hauwa went and opened the door and the fool came in, He stared at Hauwa for a while before taking his seat.

Halima β‘ What’s the meaning to this? Can’t you greet? This isn’t some majlisa or your house.

Alhaji Bature’s atmosphere was tense and he was fuming in anger, he stood up abruptly and gave me a long mean stare.

Alhaji Bature hissed and walked out of the house, I stood up and locked the door.. After that, I called Hauwa to come back down, she returned eventually taking her seat next to mine as we continued eating.

Bature β‘ That old b*tch thinks she can talk to me anyhow… I’m going to show her who’s the boss…

Spending my time with Halima was worthwhile, it’s like the good old days were back…
Halima was a like motherly figure to me and she tried her best to keep me in line.. I didn’t make a fuss, she was putting me on me the right track.
Though spending time with her can be quite boring, cause she was cracking my style, so because of that, I hung out with her grand daughter, Hauwa.
Hauwa is a simple minded girl and quite interesting, what I like about her was her cool headed nature, she was so easy to approach, but her problem was that, she’s too local.. She isn’t updated like the rest of the girls like her and she wasn’t up on latest trends and her dressing is normal but lame, so since we were now friends, I decided to upgrade her level, I thought her a few tricks of mine, like how to look fashionable and keep up with the things that are going around.. I didn’t over do it cause I don’t want her to be like me cause Halima wouldn’t stand it.
Halima too showed me a little tricks of her own, she showed me the fashion of the Hausa ladies like this tattoo stuff they do on their hands and legs.. I laughed when I heard the name of the design which was called “Lalle”.
She also introduced me to the Hausa fashion style, it was quite lovely and comfortable but the problem was wearing this during the heat will be unbearable and it’s not easy to stretch in them.. Despite our differences, Hauwa and I got along just fine and Halima encouraged and supported our friendship.
Though I don’t always spend time with Halima and Hauwa, I spare some time to hang out with Teddy as well.. The dates we got on are quite special, we don’t go anywhere fancy, we just hang out at chic places and have fun.
One Sunday evening, Teddy asked me out on a date, He came to my place and took me out, he had no transport so we went on my bike, the place Teddy took me to was a complex building that sells furniture.. I was stunned when we arrived at the place.

Teddy pulled my arm and dragged me into the building, as we got in, we went around looking at the furniture, they were so beautiful and comfortable but they were damn expensive.. One of the staffs of the place approached us asking if we were going to purchase any of the furniture,.

I was surprised by Teddy’s answer, this guy must be crazy.. He doesn’t have the money to buy any of this but I do but I won’t waste my money on some cheap wood.
The staff showed us some sofas and beds, Teddy and I followed listening as the man talked about their sky high prices.. In that moment, Teddy did something that I couldn’t get my head around.

Teddy β‘ Excuse me sir.. Do you mind if we sat on the sofas to see how comfortable they are?

Staff β‘ Of course. Please do.

Teddy smiled and did as he wanted, he pulled me down with him and we both sat comfortably on the couch π.. I have to admit they were comfortable and neat, as we sat down enjoying the soft cushions, Teddy reached out and kissed me.. The Staff was surprised but he said nothing.. I didn’t know what to say, I had no choice but to go on with the flow.
Teddy tried his dirty trick on every couch we sat on and it was starting to piss the staff off, as we move on to the bed π section, Teddy did something totally crazy, as we laid down on one bed, Teddy claimed onto my body and started kissing me.. As usual I played along with his game having fun in the process but the Staff had seen enough of our bullshit.

Staff β‘ (coughs) Ahem… Please stop this at once this is a store not a hotel and if you both want to have s*x on one of our beds, I suggest you buy one.. So what do you think of our products?

Teddy β‘ Well, they’re all nice π and comfortable as you’ve said and we’d like to buy one of your beds especially this one.

I laughed so hard at the drama that was going on.. The staff was too stunned and angry to say anything.. The poor guy wasn’t expecting this kind of gag and setback.. In that moment, he lashed out on us trying to deal with us but we quickly took to our heels running out of the place before anything gets weird.
Teddy and I laughed so hard recalling the events that happened moments ago.. Nothing made me laugh even harder than the shocked face of the staff. I bet the poor guy will hardly forget about this night.

As we got onto my bike, Teddy and I rode off to our next destination. Minutes later, We arrived at our next destination which was the Sabon gari bus park, it was the same bus park I came to when I was leaving for Abuja, memories of that night flooded back into my head..
As we entered the bus park, One of the conductors halted us and asked if we were going to travel, Teddy shook his head and the conductor lead us into the park.
After parking my bike at a safe location, We both followed the conductor, I couldn’t help but wonder what crazy scheme Teddy has planned for this one.. As we got to the long queue line of buses, Teddy and I found a small corner where the passengers sat and joined them there.
Minutes later as we were sitting down, Teddy set his plans into motion, To the dismay of the passengers sitting close to us, Teddy reached out and kissed me lustfully, I couldn’t make to stop so I played along.. The passengers watched and stared at us.

The passengers kept talking and arguing as Teddy and I kept on kissing, as time passed by, each of the passengers left the place entering the buses they paid for. Soon Teddy and I were left at the place, the conductor who had brought us here started asking which bus we wanted to enter, Teddy shook his head and continued kissing me, The conductor who was confused by all this kept asking us about the bus we want enter, After much pressure, Teddy gave him an answer.

The conductor dropped his mouth wide open in shock, I couldn’t help but laugh at this.. The poor guy stood looking at us in disbelief.

Conductor β‘ See! Una dey craze.. You people self Mad… Cape town!? Bus for cape town.. Una smoke shit… You think say I be pikin… Una don tire me, waste my time… Na God go punish Una.. Useless people, enemy of progress. Mtceew.

The guy walked away in disappointment raining curses on us… Teddy and I laughed so hard that we nearly fell on the ground… A bit later, we went the bus park and drive back home.. As soon as we got to my place, Teddy and I laughed again remembering the nasty tricks we played on those guys.. Tonight was definitely the best night of my life.

Lily β‘ (laughs) Oh teddy.. Thank you for making this night totally awesome.. I loved every minute of it.

Teddy and I became quiet after that, We began to stare at each other for some seconds and then we locked lips π again.. Teddy pinned me on the wall kissing me sensually.. Just as I was about to get inside my house, I saw Hauwa running like crazy, her hair was open and her clothes were born in place, her eyes looked bewildered as she ran, as soon as she got in front of her house, she began banging at the door like crazy, I quickly went to her place to see if she needed her, as I got close to her, I touched her shoulder, Hauwa trembled with fear and reacted throwing a punch at my face, I felt her punch π and nearly got knocked out from it.. Hauwa realized her mistake and quickly apologized..

In that moment, Two guys appeared out of no where approaching us, Hauwa shouted and panicked trying to run away, I grabbed hold of her and told her to enter my house, she certainly didn’t waste time in doing so, as the guys saw where she entered, they quickly made their there but not before I intercepted them with a big stone in my hands.
The 3 of us stood watching each other intently, as the men saw the stone in my hand, they brought out their locally made knives threatening me with it.
