Ever since I met with Mr. Hans.. I’ve been planning π on how to nail Silvia and her crew…. I couldn’t believe after what I’ve done for that woman, she now decides to get rid of me… Well, that’s not going to happen, cause I’m going to be the end of her… Her first mistake was allowing me to live in the first place.
Days went by and nothing had happened since then… Silvia didn’t call me to carry out her bidding, so I used that time to train myself.
One Saturday evening… Silvia surprisingly called me and when I answered she sounded a bit different like her usual self.. She was talking to me in a sweet and gentle tone unlike before when she was harsh and blunt..

Silvia β‘ Good evening Lily.. How’ve you been? It’s been a while.

Lily β‘ I’m fine..

Silvia β‘ Hmm, you sound like you’ve been having a good time..

After that Hans ended the call… I was surprised by what Hans said… It didn’t take long for me to realize there was a bomb in the phone. That Hans is really a dangerous fellow underneath that gleeful expression of his.. Besides how is it even possible for someone to place a bomb in a mobile phone? Oh well I just have to do everything right and not blow myself up in the process.
Later that night, I went over to Silvia’s house, from there, we rode straight to a plaza located a few miles outside Abuja, as we arrived at the place, There was quite a lot of sinister looking crowd gathered at the place and all of them looked dangerous.
After parking the car Silvia and I went into the Plaza,.. The place was rocking with hard music, drinks, drugs, and prostitutes.. Some of the people there were gambling with each other… Silvia and I went deeper into the building, we entered spacious room where there was a a lot of men and women surrounded around a table as they played cards and made huge bets with money.. Silvia took her seat πΊ and joined in the fun as well.

Shortly after that, everyone began gamble, There was shouts, cheers and insults, some won the bet, while some lost.. As they were all caught up in their biff, I switched on phone so that Hans could track my location after some minutes, I dialed the numbers and saw a out down had began, the time of the impact was 5 mins.. I quietly dropped the phone on my foot and kicked it under the table… Since the light was being shone on the table, nobody could see what I did.. In that moment, I took an excuse from Silvia.

I left the place with a smile on my face, The poor b*tch didn’t realize that this was her last hour, and last night in this world..
As I went down the stairs, I saw someone that made me froze with shock…. It didn’t know the person but something told me I’ve seen this man somewhere… Instinctively, I bought out my phone and took the man’s picture… The moment, I did that a powerful explosion went off.
*BOOOOM!!!!! *
The impact of the explosion knocked everyone off their feet, blood, body parts were, and money were scattered all over the place… I stood up from the ground and made my way to the exist, the moment I got to the outside the plaza, I saw an assemble of black GMC jeeps parked in the front and out of the jeep, came out some men in masks and black suits holding Ak47, I sensed the danger and quickly jumped back into the plaza taking cover, seconds after that, the men fired the guns at the people coming out of the building… The gun shots had deafening sounds and they were fired repeatedly.. Clinks of empty bullets could heard as they fell on the hard paved road… The people who were been shot at were torn apart by this monstrous guns, their limbs were scattered all over the place and their blood splattered and stained the walls of the plaza, After 15 minutes of massacre, the firing stopped, I didn’t move an inch until I heard the men drive away in their cars, After they were gone, I went out of the building and ran back home.

Here at home… I was in the toilet washing off my blood stained body, whilst I was bathing, I began to think about the man, I saw… I still couldn’t get him out of my mind… The more I try to remember him the more I fail to do so… After that bath, I went to my bedroom and brought out my phone, I checked the man’s picture looking at his face once again, By the side of his neck there was a scar and there was something familiar about that scare that I couldn’t figure it out.. Just then, Hate appeared next to me rubbing my head…

As if my brain was electrocuted, Hate tapped into my head, taking me deep into my subconscious showing me some memories, painful memories that I’ve blocked out because of how dark they are, one of the memories I saw was the most painful of all.. It was the day my mom died.. In that memory, I could see my younger self with mom sharing a cake π° that night during my birthday… I felt happy to see mom once again as I tried to go close to her, I couldn’t I just stood transfixed there unable to move.. Out of desperation, I called out to her.

I kept my mouth shut and kept watching in silence… I continued watching and reexperiencing the worst child hood night of my life, finally we reached the most painful part, where Mom was about to be killed, I watched in pain as those three bastards broke into our house and started beating mom asking her for money, I watched again how she was brutally raped by those three men.. The pain was too much for me that I asked Hate to stop showing me all this.

Hate ignored me, Seeing that he wouldn’t do anything I turned my eyes away.. But then sudden He grabbed my head turning it towards mom’s direction.

Hate β‘ OPEN YOUR EYES GIRL…… LOOK.. I SAID LOOK!!

I opened my eyes and saw what Hate wanted me to see.. I gasped when I saw everything , one of men suggested that I too should be raped as well, upon hearing that my mom reached out for the screw driver and scared one on his face and one on his neck… It was then I remembered that man.. The bastard with the scar on his neck was I saw at the party earlier tonight and he was the one who attempted to rape me but my mom saved me at the expense of hers.. The man that shot her was the one whose face was scarred and the last one was the one looking for the money.. After that, everything vanished and I was back to reality… I cried so much that night painfully remembering everything… These men were alive, at least the two of them are but the one I saw tonight must have died already cause there was no way anyone could have survived that raining of gunshots. But then something in me felt like the man was alive cause if I could get out of that massacre alive, then so could anyone and that includes him.
One thing was certain for sure, I would never again forget about the faces of the men.. Never.. And I swear I’m going to look for them even if it takes me a lifetime.. I’ll find them and I’ll kill them all.
A bit later, I got a call from an unknown number, as I answered the call, I was surprise to see if was Mr. Hans.

ONE YEAR LATER….. (2015)
A Year had passed since I started working for Mr. Hans and true to his words, He allowed me to do as I pleased and go wherever I wanted…
In return, I did his bidding by eliminating people he loathes or threatened his life… So far the people I killed for Mr. Hans were 6 in number, it’s not everyday I go out on an assassination quest…
So I dedicated my free time in looking for the man with the scar on his neck… So far all I got was his name which was Elias…. But still I didn’t give up.. I asked people around if they knew his whereabouts but all of them said that he was dead…
As much as I wanted to believe he was dead.. I still couldn’t believe that. My instincts told me that he was somehow alive…
So while I wasn’t killing people or looking for Elias, I would often hang out with Bonita, she’s quite an interesting person but all she does is smoke weed and have random s*x with different guys and I wasn’t into that kind of thing, so Instead of going to her place, I would visit a former target of mine, Her name is Linda.
Some months ago, I was hired by some snobby b*tch whose name was Funke to kill Linda… From the way she was urging me to kill Linda, I knew her reasons for doing this was out of jealousy and hate…
I checked out Linda lady to see how she is, I was hoping to meet some rich spoilt and arrogance lady but what I saw was different… Linda was humble, nice and kind, I followed her around and watched her from a safe distance..
Linda was different from all the other targets I was assigned to kill, I later learnt about the suffering she went through and I remembered how my life was.. She who had nobody still didn’t give up, she fought on and moved on with her life, I wonder what was it that made her kept going on.. As for me ever since all the people I cared about died, I’ve been in a different person all together, I given up on myself and all I think about is vengeance.
When I kidnapped Linda and was about to cut her throat, I couldn’t… For the first time in my life as an assassin, She was the first person I couldn’t kill.. When I held the knife to her throat, I saw myself in her… I began to ask myself, why should I even kill her? She wasn’t a bad person and she hasn’t done anything wrong to me.. And what’s the point of killing her.. After all she’s been through, she doesn’t deserve to die like this.. So I decided to let her go.. She’s an innocent soul and I won’t have her blood on my hands..
Since then, we haven’t met with each other, as the months went by Linda’s life changed, She was now a celebrity and she was now happily married… Though I wasn’t invited, I went to her wedding π°, it was sure a memorable event and I’ve never seen anyone so happy like the way Linda was, During the wedding ceremony, I went and gave her my regards and wished her a happy married life.. Linda was shocked to me but she didn’t make a fuss, she treated me kindly and asked me to if I could visit her every once in a while and I did. We sometimes met at her house and discussed some stuff especially about me.. Linda was always trying to advise and dissuade from my criminal acts..

I kept quiet for a brief moment and then I told her my terrible sad story.. Linda listened and felt sorry for me.. But even after I was done she was still urging me to stray away from the path of evil.

Linda β‘ I’m sorry for how your life turned out to be, but it doesn’t have to be this way.. Lily.. There’s still a chance for you to have a better life.. I can help you start afresh and get a well paying job..

Lily β‘ Linda.. You’re so sweet but no matter what you say… I can’t stop now.. I just met the man that killed my mom and I won’t rest until I find him and the rest… They have to paid for what they did.. If you had lost someone special like the way I did you would have understood my pain.

The woman that hired you to kill me murdered my brother… Of course I was angry, I felt immense rage that I wanted to kill her and make her pay as well, but I didn’t… Even if I kill her it won’t change anything.. It won’t even bring back my brother… Revenge isn’t an option..

And that was it… After I heard those damned words, I lost my cool.

I walked out on her and left her house, I felt so pissed hearing those words… Since when was everything ever okay for me? It’s one misfortune to another, it never ends..
On my way home, I was called by Mr. Hans, asking me to meet him at his house, I turned my bike π around and drove to his house.
Minutes later as I arrived at his house, I went into the house and saw him arranging bundles of new crispy 1000 naira on the table… He sniffed the money and smiled with delight.

Hans β‘ (sighs) Ahhhh… The smell of money…. Nothing beats this…

Lily β‘ Good evening sir.

Hans β‘ Lily… Have a seat.. I have an assignment for you.

As I sat down, Hans threw me a file containing some documents π I opened the file and saw a pictures of some men… I read the file and then looked at Hans.

Lily β‘ So… You want them dead?

Hans β‘ Absolutely.. This bastards were once business partners of mine… They got too greedy and decided to kick me out. I made them rich and this is how they pay me? By stabbing me in the back… Well, I can’t have this… They’re going to learn it’s not nice to bite that hands that fed them.

Hans β‘ They’re all in Kano..
