There comes a time in life that went you see too much deaths especially of those closest to you or the ones you care about, you can’t show any sad emotion at all… That was how I felt when Tayo died, I couldn’t cry on the outside , but on the inside, I was an emotional wreck, and since Tayo passed away, I was never the same again or rather my life was never the same ever again.

The police consulted our doctor about Tayo’s mysterious death, he said something about Tayo dying from a cardiogenic shock which was caused by a severe heart attack that made his heart freeze in an instant, The doctor said he must have seen something or heard something that must have gave him that heart attack.
After that, Asimi and Obaro were interrogated, they said they had returned from work and found him on the ground like that, so they immediately called for help… I knew they were lying from the very moment they opened their dirty mouths… When I came home that day, Oberon was in his singlet and boxers while Asimi was covered in her towel… Something wasn’t right about though two but it doesn’t matter, at least they’re weren’t responsible for Tayo’s death. Some days after he died, His relatives made preparation for hid burial and when the time came everyone attended his funeral.
On the day of his burial everyone he knew or that knew him came and gave their condolences to Asimi who was busy shedding crocodile tears… His relatives didn’t bother about her, to them she was an outcast, and a useless wife who left no child for Tayo, I was hoping to be received warmly by his relatives since this was my first time seeing them but I got the same treatment as Asimi, to them, I was just somebody’s child and I wasn’t their problem… After the burial, the division of Tayo’s property came next, as the wife of Tayo, Asimi was given half of his property and the other half was taken away by his relatives, I got nothing in return since I wasn’t his real child. I never bothered about it, cause little did they know Tayo had already given me something to take care of myself with. After the division of Tayo’s property, Everyone went his separate ways.

Life at the house had changed completely.. The only fun moment I had at that damned house was when Silas or Tayo were around but now that both men are gone.. The place had turned into a living hell. Asimi had sold the remaining of Tayo’s property and burnt the ones that was left.. She didn’t even keep a picture of her husband just to remember him by..
Her lifestyle changed as well, since she was now single, she began to live a life of fun and excitement, she would dress seductively and go out in the morning and won’t return till late in the night.. She no longer did anything in the house, she would make me sweep, clean and tidy the house, as for Obaro, the bastard did nothing but messy up the house and putting his hands on my stuff whenever I’m not around… I wanted to leave the house but I had no where to go to and I was tired of obeying Asimi’s rules but I did promise Tayo that I would respect her… Despite all this, I could barely get enough to eat, Asimi no longer cooked any food, she would buy hers from outside and eat it together with Obaro without giving me anything… Because of hunger, I was forced to start using my own money from my own account to start buying food. Doing all this things was tiring and exhausting and I couldn’t get enough sleep because of this.
Thankfully, our school was on holiday, so I wouldn’t need to be going into class all tired and sleepy… After going through all that stress, I would go out and hang out at Teddy’s place… Teddy really gave me all the necessary comfort and attention I needed, though ever since we first had S*x, we didn’t get to do it again.. Though Teddy was hoping to get another round. Teddy was the distraction I needed to make me forget all those hardships at home, even if it was for a little while, Teddy did his part by giving me a hell of a good time. What we normally do, is go to exciting places, go to restaurants and spend quality time together talking about school and making jokes about other stuff, by the end of the day, I would return home feeling satisfied and happy.
After a month school had resumed and the class I was going into was the final and graduating class in my secondary school year. Since Tayo wasn’t around anymore, Asimi decided she wouldn’t pay the school fees, I didn’t bother cause Tayo had already given me something in case of emergencies like this. The day I first checked the account I was surprised when I saw the money in it was half and a quarter of a million, almost 800,000 in total.. I was shocked to see this amount of money, I had no idea it was this much…. But before I decide to remove the money, I decided to go to school the next day and find out how much I was going to pay… Later that evening , when I returned home from the bank, I saw Obaro in my room doing his usual snooping stuff.

Obaro ➡ Just.. Checking some stuff..

Lily ➡ Get the hell out, idiot!

Obaro ➡ What did you just say, b*tch?

I stood on my guard waiting for him to do anything funny, Obaro wanted to make a move but then hesitated.. He must have remembered what I did to him last time. After that, he quietly walked out of the room. I hissed behind him and shut the door at his back.
I checked my room to see If anything was missing but so far nothing was amiss. So after that, I checked my bag and took out the daggers that Silas gave me and hid them somewhere Obaro would never see them. After a while later, as I laid down on my bed, I got a call from Teddy.

Teddy ➡ Evening beautiful.

Lily ➡ Evening, my sweet Teddy.. How’s your day?.

Teddy ➡ It was cool but it would have been great if you were here.

Teddy ➡ Always.. So are you ready for a new term at school?

After the call, Asimi barged into my room giving me a fright. I cursed silently under my breath after that.

After that Asimi left the room, I was so angry and pissed off… I could literally kill that woman! Why should I clean his room? He’s well and fit and he can do it by himself… I hate this… If only I had a place to stay I would leave this house forever. In that moment, i began hearing voices in my head again. After that, I went out of the room and went to clean Obaro’s room, as I entered his room, The idiot was lying on his bed wearing only his boxers and the annoying part was, his d*ck was erect at the moment.. The fool laughed when he saw me, he didn’t even feel ashamed of my presence or bother to adjust himself.. He grabbed his can of beer and opened it drinking it with pleasure.. I felt disgusted looking at the idiot.. After drinking to his feel, he belched and polluted the air.. I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Obaro felt the insult and kept quiet.. He slowly got out of hid bed and left the room, after he left I began to clean the room,… I nearly vomited as I perceived the smell in his room.. It was disgusting and stinky.. I can’t believe how dirty this guy was.. I had to turn on the fan so that the smell would go away.. After some time, I began to clean his room, just when I was about to be done, I mistakenly knock over a bag which was by the side of his bed, the bag fell open and the contents came into view, I focused my gaze when I saw something familiar… It was Silas’s medal, I bent down and took it up examining it.. This medal was definitely his.. Without a doubt it was the one.. I couldn’t believe… What was Obaro doing with Silas’s medal… In that moment Obaro returned to the room. When he saw the medal in my hands, he quickly came and swiped it off from my hands.

Obaro ➡ What’s your business?… I won’t tell.

Lily ➡ That Medal belongs to Silas… How and where did you get it?

Obaro ➡ Oh.. This belonged to you old solider lover… I bought it from someone.. So it’s mine now.

I didn’t believe him of course… There was something fishy about all this..Silas would never sell hid most prized medals even if he was starving to death…
After that I left Obaro’s room and went back to mine… As I laid on my bed, I promised myself to find out how Obaro got that medal, something wasn’t right about all this.
The next morning, I woke up early and went to school, Today is going to be the beginning of the end of my secondary days. As I arrived at school, I dropped my bag in class and went straight to the assembly ground… As we all assembled our principal came out and gave us a welcome speech and after that began to talk about school matter, He said something not tolerating any school misconduct and ordered the teachers to go search our bags in case we bought phones, a body search was also conducted on us in the assembly.. After a while, one of the teachers ran out and came towards the principal whispering something in his ear… The principal gasped in shock and dismissed the assembly… Teddy and I went back to new class, as we entered I realized my bag wasn’t there. Then suddenly in that moment, I was called to the principal’s office.
I obeyed without any hesitation, as I got to the principal’s office, I noticed almost all of the teachers when inside, as I walked in, They all laid their eyes on me.. All I could think of was what was going on? I saw my bag on the principal’s table, wondering why it was there.

Principal ➡ Lily.

Lily ➡ Yes sir…

Principal ➡ Are you on drugs?

Lily ➡ Excuse me?

Principal ➡ ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!

The principal opened my bag and brought out two packets of weed! and a leather full of pills… I was shocked when I saw this… I couldn’t believe it… Just how did this get into my bag?…. In that moment, I remembered Obaro coming into my room last yesterday… I bet he was the one that put this in my bag.

Principal ➡ Then whose stuff is this?

Lily ➡Sir I swear I don’t know… I’ve never seen this before… I didn’t know this was in my bag.

I felt distraught when I heard I was expelled… Just when I was about to be finally done with secondary school now, I was kicked out and because of a something I didn’t do.. I wanted to complain but I decided to keep quiet… The principal was kind enough not to involve the police so it’s better if I leave things the way they are. I took my bag and leave his office, after that, I was out of the school premises.
I went back home feeling heart broken and empty.. Why? Was this happening to me? What did I do to deserve all this cruelty?
As I reached home, I realized the door was open, so I walked in and when to my bedroom, as I changed into my casual clothes, I spotted Obaro and his looney friends outside the window talking to one another, though they were on the ground, I could hear everything they were saying.

I nearly passed out when I heard that…. So Obaro and his goons were the ones behind Silas’s death… I felt on my bed planting my face on the pillow as I cried so hard.. Silas’s face was still clear in my mind.. A man who had always minded his business, was brutally killed by this morons over something worthless cause.. Just like how my mom was killed… I felt immense rage surging all over me.. After shedding tears for some minutes, I fell asleep… I was later awoken by the ringing tone of my phone… I woke up feeling a tremendous headache, As I sat up, my phone rang again and I checked and saw it was Teddy.. I didn’t answer his call instead, I went to the toilet and washed my face, after that I left the house and went to Teddy’s place.
As I got there, I gave him a call to meet me outside.. A few seconds later, Teddy came out and invited me into the house to see his parents but I had no time for that.

Teddy ➡ You didn’t come to class today… What’s wrong?

Lily ➡ I got expelled.

Teddy ➡ What? Why?

Lily ➡ Someone planted drugs in my bag. And the person responsible was Asimi’s cousin.

I pushed Teddy away and went away, I did t go home straight, I had to stroll around to think was I was going to do next.. As I walked down the street, I was being accompanied by my invincible friend who kept whispering in my ears..

After that, I made my way up to my room, it was then they both noticed me.. They quickly stopped what they were doing when they saw me.. They began to blast me with insults as I went upstairs, I ignored them and went back to my room… As I entered my room, I sat on my bed rethinking everything that I just witnessed… Everything soon became clear… First Obaro murdered Silas and now I’m sure Tayo died as a result of what I just saw now… Cause the doctor said he died from a cardiogenic shock.. He must have saw them having S*x, that explains the singlet and boxer Obaro wore and the towel on Asimi’s body on that dreadful day… That evening, Something came over me, something that would change my life forever, everything else in that moment didn’t matter, I felt no emotion, nothing I just felt empty.. My invisible friend at the time appeared before me looking at me with a smile, then he then sat next to me, whispering in my ear..

As I was staring at my daggers,, Asimi bursted into the room, throwing insults at me..

I laughed at her face waving the daggers in my hands.. Asimi was surprised when she saw me laughing.. In that moment.. Obaro came into the room sweating..

Immediately after that, I threw a dagger at his forehead.. The knife pierced his brain, Obaro shouted and struggle in pain holding his head, I rushed at him and stabbed the back of his neck, I pulled out knife from his skull and stabbed his nose, We both fell to the ground, I sat on his stomach and stabbed his face repeatedly nonstop… Obaro’s face was disfigured and his blood splattered on me, I kept stabbing his face until his face become completely unrecognizable… After that, I stopped and took a deep breath, my body went numb and I felt some kind of relieve and solace, in that moment, I laughed so hard smearing the blood stained daggers on my clothes… This feeling I got was the best thing ever, I didn’t ever care what I just did, to me it was nothing, while I was enjoying my first kill, Asimi came up into my room and shouted in horror as she saw Obaro’s face destroyed, I laughed at her seeing how scary she looked, Asimi stared at me with disbelief, not believing what she saw.

Lily ➡ I don’t know and I don’t care… Tearing up your lover’s face was the best that that has happened to me in years.. And guess what… You’re next..
