“What do you want?”, the girl asked
“Hmm, I am Segun’s neighbor, please I came to collect noodles”
“Don’t you have money to buy yours?”
The lady asked.
Hauwa shoved her aside and went inside to get it herself. The girl just folded her hands and watched.
“How long have you guys been fvcking?”
The lady asked and Hauwa almost went into shock.
“Because of noodles? You feel I am sleeping with Segun?”
“No it’s the authority, the way you just bounced in went to the kitchen to get what you wanted”
“Well he owes me”
Hauwa said and left.

[4:10pm]
“That’s how they go about snatching people’s boyfriends”
Someone shouted close to Hauwa’s window and the voice belonged to the basketball vested girl.
“After snatching man, they will still snatch Indomiè. Leave my machine alone. My piston engine is too much and I know you want to claim him, shameless girl”, the girl continued.
Hauwa just sat, listening and pitying the girl who thought she was the only one in Segun’s life.
“Madam shut up and stop disturbing us. Segun this and that. No be only you Segun dey service ooo”
Ngozi shouted from her room.
Segun was yet to come home.

“So Segun, you have been carrying other girls?” The lady asked as soon as Segun arrived.
“Chi-Chi, who told you that lie na?”
Segun asked.
“Shut up, your neighbors have been laughing at me since afternoon”
” Which of them?”
“All of them, the other one pushed me to steal Indomiè and the other one there said you have been carrying other girls”
“Steal Indomiè ke?”
“Oh that’s your concern abi? I am going home”
Chi-Chi said and left.
Segun sat for a while before knocking on Ngozi’s door. She opened up.
“I don fvck you before?” Segun asked.

“Segun…ahh..chinekemo!”
Ngozi screamed as Segun did his thing.
Hauwa sat in her room listening intently. What made the whole thing hotter was that she knew both parties well.
She couldn’t eat her Indomiè in peace. Hauwa wondered why Segun had to always do this thing.
And Ngozi too, she didn’t care that the whole hostel could hear hear her moans.
“Segun take am easy, na person pikin abeg”, Kenneth said from outside his door.
Kenneth was a neighbor that had lost three girlfriends to Segun and he was planning to park out if he could only pay his rent in full. He usually paid his rent in bits and just used his friends house to host his girlfriends.
He had lost one of them to a friend too but that was manageable.
Hauwa laughed as you could hear pain in his voice when he said that.
It would have been funnier if Ngozi’s voice allowed his own voice to be heard but it didn’t.
“My own be say Segun go just fvck for Hauwa wall and she no dey talk anything”
Sister Mary said.
She was that churchy fellow always inviting you to crusades and hosting prayer cells in her house.
“Segun… kîll me….scatter it. What am I without you?” Ngozi’s voice broke the discussion.
“This guy go kîll person one day. Make we call landlord on time oo”
Kenneth said again.
“You no get phone? Call am na abi you never pay your rent?”
Sister Mary asked him.
“Your own no good at all sha, and you talk say you dey go church”
Kenneth replied.
Segun’s door made an opening sound and everyone ran into their rooms as Ngozi came out and went to her room.
Hauwa wondered why they ran. They always feared Segun. He was like a giant and had a mean look. That’s why Kenneth could not do anything when he was hearing his girlfriend’s scream from Segun’s room..
Also, Ngozi could cut you up with her tongue. No one wanted to be beaten or insulted.

Hauwa asked.
Ngozi eyed her and they both laughed.
