The next day at the office, I stole Greg’s file from Ada’s locker and through it, I was able to get his house address as well as his new phone number.
I started stalking his house during weekends and in two different occasions I had seen a younger lady going in and out of the building and on my third visit, I approached her.
I lied that I was house-hunting around the area.
“It’s a pity, I don’t live here, I only come to visit my friend who lives in this house”. She explained, pointing towards Greg’s house.
It turned out she was my name sake, Funmilola.
We exchanged contact and three weeks later, she called that there’s a vacancy in her own compound.
What a perfect setting!
I wasted no time before moving into the vacant room, even though my own rent was not due yet and I had to spend extra for transport to work every morning. I didn’t mind, all I cared about was VENGEANCE.
I got all the information I needed about Greg’s family from Lola. When Dami had her third child, and even when Greg finally left the country, she innocently kept me updated.
Meanwhile, I had gotten the poison ready.
I was hoping for an opportunity to get to finally meet Dami before Lola announced about the maid that would be getting married. The rest was history…
