Her Ghost (complete story

Within my 22 years of existence, mind you, I have and interacted with many people, both young and old. But I have never seen one who was as introverted as Jenny.
Mind you, I have come across few who are introverts. I equally have friends who are introverts, but Jenny beats them all.

She was way too introverted. It was bad to the point of saying a harmless”good day ” to the neighbours. And believe me, she hardly greeted me too even though we lived in the same house.

Jenny wasn’t a friend so to say. She could have been one perhaps she was a little bit approachable. But sadly she wasn’t. Being an extrovert, it wasn’t hard for me when’s it comes to making friends, but Jenny made this seems difficult for me.

I got to know Jenny when I was working on my school project. I needed somewhere cool far away from the noisy city, where I can concentrate on my project work. I ran into Jenny one of those days when I was on my search for a place.

One thing led to another and I found myself living with the boring Jenny. She wasn’t a bad person so to say, but her introversion was just way beyond my liking.

One of those days Jenny had gone to visit a relative who just put to bed and I found myself alone. It Wasn’t lonely for it made no difference to when she was around. It was 9:30 pm when I made my way to the bathroom. with music blaring loudly in parlour. Something I would never do if Jenny was around.

I hardly played music without getting that disgusting look from her and the usual…
“Please Abby could you turn off the music. I hate noise”
Jeez!
At times I wondered how boring one’s life could be. No hangouts, no music, no chitchat with neighbours. Everything that could have made one lively was a no for her.

So you could imagine my joy when she informed me that she was traveling.

Finally, freedom at last!

It wasn’t long that went into the bath then the lights in the bathroom started flickering.
I immediately came out of the bath and I saw something in the mirror.

A face!
A human face covered with blood with a hollow eye socket. My heart skipped a bit.
I immediately made my way out of the bathroom. Getting into the bedroom, I rushed under the duvet.

That night I was so scared that I couldn’t sleep a wink and I wished for Jenny. I knew she was boring and wasn’t my type of person, but that night I wished for a soul beside me so badly.
