EVIL INTENTIONS PT7
Hope slowed down once he was far away from Ngozi’s house.
He was still in a state of shock from all Ngozi admitted to him. She loved him. He couldn’t believe it, she was Amaka’s best friend, how could she do this? Worse, why did he let himself soo loose to the point of sleeping with her?
Her admission didn’t impress him at all, he was mortified if not irritated. He now understood why she wanted to see him every time. He now understood why she kept giving him those crappy advices. She never cared about him. She had been trying to ruin his marriage. A marriage that had been doing great before she got involved.
But the God that he served was greater than her. Right now, he was going to go home and make peace with his wife. And if she didn’t know that Ngozi has been the master mind all along, then it was better she never knew. Talking to her would mean he’ll expose kissing Ngozi and thwt might make matters worse for him. Better to forget the past and move forward.

Hours passed and Ngozi sat in the mist of the horrible mess she made, sulking. She had several cuts on her hands, arms and legs. Those didn’t matter to her anyway. The ache in her heart didn’t compare to her physical wounds.
“He rejected me–just like everyone else, his wife as stupid and immature as she is, is more valuable to him” she cried wiping the tears off her face as fresh ones kept rolling down her cheeks.
“This isn’t over Amaka, I will ruin your marriage so you can feel the pain I’m feeling now” she swore.
She stood up and attempted to dust herself. Since things didn’t go like she originally planned, then she would pull on a stunt that would give Amaka evidence that Hope was cheating on her.
She was sure that Hope wouldn’t tell his wife that they had been seeing each other and that was an added advantage to her. This plan would cause Amaka to divorce her husband. It would also ruin their friendship but she could live that. She hated Amaka too much to want to be around her anymore.

Hope arrived home ladened with gifts for his wife. He made sure to return early so he could show his wife that he had changed.
He’d slapped her the previous night and he never apologized. He had alot of making up to do.
He got to the room and carefully opened the door. He peeped inside the room to find Amaka sobbing softly.
“My love” he cooed as he entered.
Amaka looked up startled to find him home. She hadn’t heard him drive in. Her eyes quickly darted to the two shopping bags in his hands. Now, she was confused.
Hope got on his knees.
“Baby, I’m sorry for how I’ve been treating you lately” he pleaded.
Amaka who wasn’t willing to give him a listening ear threw her face the other way. Did he think he would just pile gifts and just like that she would forgive him? He hurt her badly for weeks.
“Please just go away” she sighed. Just remembering how he slapped her last night sent chills down her spine. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to stay in a marriage where she might eventually become a punching bag.
Hope knew he had a long way to go before his wife forgave him but he kept pleading with her.
Her heart started to soften but she didn’t want to show him that. Instead, she stylishly collected the gifts from him and said; “I’ll think about it” then she left him. Whatever it was that threatened their marriage, she suspected it was over now. Hope seemed to be back to his normal self. She didn’t trust him though. She couldn’t, but, she took his gifts anyway as a signed that peace between them was attainable.
A triumphant smile slowly spread across Hope face, he had won his wife back, not totally, but, he was getting there.

What do you think? Hope hasn’t mentioned anything about Ngozi so far. Was that a good choice considering his reasons?
