EVIL INTENTIONS PT4
Now armed with concrete information that there was indeed trouble in paradise, Ngozi’s next line of action was get closer to Hope. She would present herself as the perfect woman and as for Amaka, her impulsiveness and overbearing nature would push her husband away all by herself.
She now had a very fertile soil to sow that seed of discord.

And so it began, an affair that didn’t quite start out as one.
Ngozi became Hopes closest friend. He opened up to her by telling her all about his issues with Ngozi who in turn began to poison his mind against his wife.
“Aren’t you a man? why in the world do you have to explain yourself to her?”
Hope saw reason in what she was saying. Why did his wife act like she owned him? He was the one who paid her bride price not the other way round.
His attitude to his wife started to become worse. He started keeping late nights regularly, most of the time he was hanging out with Ngozi the two of them would spend time together till late in the night. When he came home, he and his wife would qurrel terribly.
Amaka’s life suddenly turned upside down. She couldn’t understand why her husband was treating her the way he did.
Everyday, she always had a new reason to complain about her husband to Ngozi.
As for Ngozi, she always made matters worse by giving her friend terrible advices.
Amaka remained clueless and continued to fill Ngozi in on every single detail about her her life.
“I think he is seeing another woman” Amaka confessed one day.
Ngozi’s heart flew. She knew that Amaka was bound to find out some day but it was so soon, she determined.
“H–how –how do you know this” she stammered.
“I just know it” Amaka spat with conviction.
“Do you have any evidence?”
“Well, no. But I feel like he really has another woman, he’s acting so strange”
Ngozi let out the air she had been holding in relief. It’s wasn’t that she was scared of Amaka, the timing wasn’t just right. She wanted Amaka to find out but not yet. She still hadn’t been able to seduce Hope. He was still playing hard to get but his force was weakening. He would fall, soon.
But, if Amaka believed that her husband was cheating on her wasn’t it better she fanned the flame?
“You know, you are right, what will he be doing outside till 11 in the night, he is definitely seeing someone else”
Amaka’s heart sank.
“I don’t want to loose my husband” she said as one stray tear ran down her eye.
“Then you have to confront him, he cannot keep lying and decieving you” she said pretending to care.
All Ngozi wanted was one final push to make Amaka give her husband to her on a sliver platter. And that final push was a false accusation.
