Diary of a single mother episode 26

Diary of a single mother final episode ๐Ÿฅบ

When they left, my parents just stood round me like I was a queen and kept on asking me different questions.

“How did you meet him?”
When did you meet him?”
Where is he working?”.

I felt important to my parents for the first time. I proudly gave them the answers to their questions.

My traditional marriage was scheduled to hold for the next month. Like everything was happening so fast. Steve wasn’t ready to wait another month before making me his wife.

Invitations were printed. Each invitation card came with a free asoebi. The marriage was already the talk of the town. Words got to Frank and he called me to Rant.

“I heard you are getting married Chi, tell me it’s a lie”. He asked.

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, it’s not a lie. I will waybill your invitation card to you”. I said proudly.

“I fear women o. Look at the way you just dumped me for money. He can’t love you more than I loved you”. Frank said.

“You wish”. I replied laughing.

“Don’t give my children to another man unless you want my problem”. He threatened.

“Abeg get off my phone”. I said and ended the call. Good riddance.

The day of my traditional marriage was excellent. It was like a festival. There was enough to eat and drink. People kept on singing how lucky I was.

“A single mother of two children now married to a tear rubber millionaire”.

My bride price was paid in FULL! No reduction! Steve told me he wasn’t a fan of white wedding but I insisted. He listened and we did a small wedding. We also had a court wedding. Everything became official.

Steve never stopped loving me. He adores the ground I walk on. He never touched me till we got married.
A month after our marriage, I got pregnant. He became the happiest man on earth. He did everything for me. He employed domestic servants so I wasn’t choked with house chores. My husband stood by me although pregnancy. It wasn’t like my first pregnancy ๐Ÿฅบ.

My twins on the other hand were growing fast and was attended the best school in town. Steve loved them like they were his. No form of hate from him.

We flew to Canada when it was time for me to deliver. Steve wouldn’t allow me to travel alone. I gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl.

I took in again two years later and gave birth to a boy through CS in Nigeria because it was a premature labor. Scared of losing me, my husband advised I do family planning.

“I don’t want to lose you to child birth. The five children are enough ( including my twins with Frank)’. He said.

Let me not talk about how my parents now adores me. I am now their favorite child. My husband built a house for them in the village and got my mom a car on her 60th birthday.

Frank on the other hand graduated from the university and was working in a good company. He wasn’t doing bad for himself. But he became a popular womaniser. He was always changing women. I was glad I didn’t end up with him. He even got another lady pregnant.

I couldn’t combine child bearing and schooling together so my husband pleaded for me to wait for a while before returning back to school. Left to me, I don’t even know want to go back to school ๐Ÿ˜†. This my marriage too sweet Abeg ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ. No let anybody deceive you ooo, Marriage sweet ๐Ÿ˜‚ ( Don’t be deceived by anyone, marriage is sweet).
