CHRISTMAS DATING
Final Episode

It has been a sweet adventure telling you about Jojo and myself.

I’ve told you about the sweet moments: when all was fine and rosy.

I’ve told you about the stormy moments: when the forces of nature came blowing on the roots of our journey into unfading love.

I’ve shared with you the sad moments: when tears and sorrows were the simplest way to stay afloat.

I’ve told you this story because love is not a stick of candy nor a bottle of bee honey. Love is not only sugar and salt. Love is not only glamour and bliss.

Love hurts sometimes. It did when Linda came into our relationship. Though I misunderstood things from the onset, but it took patience and compassion to understand Sweet Jojo’s stand and to eventually forgive him.

Love can push you to the bed of the ocean. Like it did when I was sick and hospitalized, and Jojo had to take care of me. Like it did when Jojo was dying and needed me to stay close by. Like it did when Jojo had to cover up with his heavy heart during our wedding.

Love can take you places. It can give you awesome things. It can mend your cracked walls. It can fix your broken heart.

I don’t know if this will be a candid advice to you, but you have to find a place in your heart to love your husband without an iota of dislike.

He is a man. He is human. Men have their extremities. They fail to meet our standards as women sometimes. But you got to love him for your marriage, relationship to work. You got to forgive him when he gets on your nerves. Even when he doesn’t apologize.

Try to make him understand why you feel the way you feel about what he did wrong. Correct him lovingly. Offer a helping hand in the smallest ways possible. Men love to be pampered. Jojo loves to cry in my arms when he feels overwhelmed.

Study your husband like a book. Know what works and what doesn’t work. Do what works and leave what doesn’t work.

There are things you can’t change about him. He could learn, but he still won’t change. Most times it is because of where he grew up from. He must have seen a man behave in certain ways that didn’t favour a woman. He can’t show you a love he did not learn to show from childhood. Forgive him and learn to love him while also trying to show him how to love you.

Yes! Show him how to love you. No! Loving you doesn’t mean you should demand for expensive things all the time. Don’t break your home because of too much appetite for material things. Men don’t like it when they spend too much on you in a short space of time.

Show him how to love you.

Jojo is a sweet husband. But he wants to know new ways to love me everyday. Our marriage is ten years old already. Little Shakespeare is nine now.

Jojo wants to know just the easiest ways to get deeper into my life. And I can’t stop loving him. But most husbands are not like him. They don’t know how to learn what you want. They just want to hustle, put food on the table, buy you clothes and give you money. You teach them how to spend time with you.

For men. Don’t be like Jojo. It will mean me making you do what you can’t do if I ask you to be exactly like Jojo. But you have to try to understand what your wife wants.

Unlearn the thoughts that women can’t be understood. Learn what your woman wants. Learn who she is. She needs you to collaborate with her to make your marriage/relationship work. She needs you to hold her tightly all the time. She needs you in so many unimaginable ways. Be available.

I don’t know what you have learnt from my love adventure with Jojo. It is still ongoing. I am yet to reach the wonderland. Where Jojo is taking me to is far. Ten years and he still plays around with me like a love sick teenager. He still plays with my hair. He still loves to fondle with my melons. He still loves to kiss me.

These ten years, I’ve added some weight. Almost a plus size now. Put Jojo seems to like me more like this. He jokes about it. He wants me to be bigger in size (God forbid 🤣😂). He still reads me poem in Spanish. He still fondles with my bellybutton.

Oh! I didn’t tell you. My bellybutton is a little protruded. Just a little. And when he reads he juggles in between caressing my hair and fondling with my bellybutton. Sometimes he strays away into my paanties, and his fingers go into my ocean of sweetness 😋. Bahd boy like Jojo. And I like it.

The bottom line is this. . .

Make it work if you want it. Love is like Rome, it wasn’t built in a day.

Please share with me what you’ve learnt in our love story so far 😊. Jojo has been seeing this story and reading it secretly without telling me. I caught him reading it last week. And in return I got the sweetest and longest kiss of my life 😋

Oh. Lest I forget. Baby Shakespeare has a little sister. Her name is Josephine, lady Jojo.
