Chapter Four
Abigail’s POV
“I’m so sorry about all these..how could he do this to you..?”I asked nao who couldn’t stop crying..
“I don’t know where to start from Abby..I cannot believe he’ll do this to me..”
“No wonder he doesn’t want you to work..”I say.
“I don’t know what to do anymore..he cheated on me and this is unforgivable..”Naomi says..
“Where is Ana?”she adds..
“She’s asleep upstairs..”I say as Naomi breaks down into tears..I pulled her in right into my arms because I do not know what to say other than to calm her down..poor thing is going through alot now..
“We’ll get through this my friend..I promise you..”I say trying as much as I can to stop Naomi from crying.

Naomi’s POV
“Naomi..Naomi..we need to talk..”Is all nelson has been saying the minute I went back home..I left Ana at Abby place because I don’t want her experiencing all these sad moment..it’s best she stays in a more secured environment..
I have only come home to pack some of my things..I’ll be going to stay at Jessie place..she offered me an apartment in her compound..so that’s where I’ll be staying for now until I’ll find a way to take the next step..first I need a job urgently because I need to pay for ana’s school fees.
“Naomi..please I beg you..I can explain..”Nelson says but I just continue packing my stuffs and Ana’s clothes..
“Nao.. where are you going with all those clothes and where’s my daughter?”Nelson asks..this man is starting to get on my nerves..
“Your daughter is in a safe place so you have nothing to worry about.. why don’t you just go out there and sleep with all the women in the world..?huh..why are you here?”
“I won’t allow you to talk to me in that kind of manner..”
“Oh..so how do you expect me to talk to you..nelson leave me alone..you ve done your part.. you’ve betrayed me..what more do you want?’
“Nao..I can explain.. it’s not what you think..”
“Don’t you even dare think of lying to me because I saw you..you disgusting man..you are a disgrace to manhood..I cursed the day I said yes to marry you..you monster..”I yelled more than I intended to as Nelson moved closer to me..
“Oh just shut up..you should be grateful I married you Naomi..is it because I cheated on you.. you’re behaving like a coward.. you’re just weak..you can’t fight for our marriage..is this how you want to leave the house..just like that?”
“Yes..yes..nelson..I’m sick and tired of your nonsense..I won’t let you maltreat me and also cheat on me..this conversation is over..”I say carrying my luggages as he yelled at me to come back but I didn’t listen to him..I just run out of the house..as soon as possible..I don’t have the strength to fight nelson..I don’t.. think I can bear the pains I’m feeling..I have always loved nelson from the begining of our marriage and this is how he repays me..
Abigail’s POV
After saying my goodbye to Naomi and her daughter ana..I decided to go to the kitchen and prepare a special meal for my husband..I know he might be angry with me now but soon he ll get over it..I busied my self by preparing his favorite ofe nsala soup and pounded yam..
It took me a hour to prepare it and the time is almost 12pm in the afternoon..and he isn’t still yet back..I tried calling him but he is phone saying switched off..now I’m really starting to get worried so I had no choice but to call mama.. Mama too has not come home since the day I kicked her out of my boutique…I called Mama thrice before she finally picks..
π±”To what do i owe the call you foolish woman..you have the guts to call me after all you did to me the other day..you have no shame you worthless being..”Mama blasted me but I ignored her rude comments..the only reason am calling is because of Arnold..
π±Mama I didn’t call to fight you..please is Arnold there with you..?”I asked..hoping her answers where yes.
π±”No..why do you think he’ll be with me..wait..what happened to my son..?”mama asked..
π±Nothing mama..I just wanted to know if he was with you..”
π±”I’m sure he is with a real woman right now..not like barren women like you..it’s even good he isn’t at home with you so you cannot be witch him..”
I didn’t reply her because it’s meaningless arguing with this woman..I just hanged up from the call..
Where could Arnold be..?
Angel’s POV
“You bastard..how dare you..call my wife’s phone..you’re nothing but a wife snatcher..If I catch you ehn..I’ll make sure I cut those tongues of yours..”I heard Frank voice from the bathroom..I quickly rushed out of the bathroom as frank noticed my presence..he immediately gives me my phone..
“I’ll call you back mar..k..”I say cutting the call..
“Are you okay..what’s wrong with you.. frank?”
“You..you are the problem..I thought you already got over that pion but no..you gave the dude your number again.. how far will go just to cheat on me..?”
“I’m not cheating on you..can’t you just see..you’re not okay frank..if you keep on doing this..we re not going to end well with this marriage..”I yelled at him..I’m tired of this man.. right now it’s best I just leave for work..because nothing is going to calm him down..as I grabbed my shirt from the wardrobe..frank dragged my hands from behind as he flinged me on the bed..
“You’re not going anywhere..”
“Huh..you’re not going to stop me from going to work..”I say trying to stand up from my bed as Frank pounced on me..beating me in every part of my body…I screamed..I tried..I struggled to get frank off me but he doesn’t stop..he slaps me thunderously till I gave up..**
Arnold’s POV
I wake up and I find my self on a bed..wondering were my wife is..just as I turned to see who’s sleeping next to me..that’s when reality hits me..this isn’t my wife.. who is this woman..where I’m I.. suddenly the woman gradually wakes up smiling as I tried to recall what’s going on here..I checked my self properly and I’m not wearing anything other than my boxers..what have I done..
“Hey sweetheart..I was waiting for you to wake up so we could continue the next rounds..”the lady.. says.. climbing on top of me as she slowly rides my d**k..I pushed her away wondering were she came from..
This is my mother’s place.. yes..I came to my mother’s house since the other day I and Abby had an argument..I just wanted to be alone..so I told Mama not to tell Abby am with her..I had a few drinks which Mama bought for me last night and I remember..there was no woman with me last night..where the hell did this stuck up bitch appear..?
“What..don’t tell me you didn’t enjoy what we had last night..”
“Alright..young woman..I seriously do not know what you’re talking about..now get out..of my room.. immediately..”I yelled at her.. she stands up from the bed thinking she was going to leave..but no..she surprisingly forced a kiss on my lips…
Mama’s POV
“Perfect plan..perfect..”I laughed eaves dropping at my son’s conversation with Olamma..Olamma is my friend’s daughter and this is just the perfect way to separate my son from that barren evil woman..I immediately grabbed my phone calling Abby…the first ring and she picks..the fool is desperate to see her husband..let’s the games begin..
π±Hello mama..have you heard from Arnold..mama please I need good news..I beg of you.. please tell me you’ve seen Arnold..
π±”You won’t believe what I’m about to tell you Abigail..I know I have said different things about you but you don’t deserve this..
π±”Mama..mama..what happened to Arnold.. don’t tell me something bad happened to him..mama please say something..”
π±”The thing is Arnold..came to my house drunk last night with another woman..”
π±”What..no..no that’s impossible.. Arnold doesn’t drink..
π±”Oh Abigail..if you don’t believe me you can come to my house and see for your self..I hate to admit it but it’s the truth..
π±”No..no.. this cannot be true..Arnold would never cheat on me..never..I know my husband..
π±”Are you coming or not..?”I asked..and she just cut the call on me..
Abigail’s POV
With what mama just told me..it’s hard for me to believe it’s the truth..no this cannot be..Arnold can’t be with another woman..this is impossible..something is fishy here..I have to find out..I immediately..grabbed the keys on my table as I rushed out of the house..
I speedily drove straight to Mama house..it’s a twenty minute drive but with the anger boiling inside of me…I was just too fast to get there.. as soon as I entered..I saw Mama in the living room busy watching television..
“Mama… where’s my husband?”
“I see..you ve also lost your manners along side your husband..”Mama says as I just walked passed her searching for Arnold..have been in this house only once but I know every part in the rooms..I go in and out searching for Arnold..until I finally find one particular room I haven’t checked..I moved a bit closer to the room..as I opened the door slightly to see Arnold back..I smiled thanking God he is alone until I saw a woman standing right next to him practically kissing tensely…
“Arnold..!!”I called him as the kiss broke instantly..
“My love..my love I can explain..she forced her self on me..my love please..I beg you..”
“No..I can’t..I can’t believe mama was right..”I say as tears rolls down my cheeks..I can’t look at this.. anymore..I just left the room..making my way to the living room as Mama stands up from the chair..
“You see..I told you..your husband is going to leave you anytime soon..because he is tired of you..that’s why..”Mama adds to my anger and I couldn’t say anything.. the tears just kept on rolling down my cheeks..
“Just..keep quiet..”I say trying to leave as Mama blocked my way..just then Arnold interrupts..
“Abigail..please listen to me..hear me out..please..”
“I’m not in the right mood to hear your stupid excuse..you men are all the same..liars..and cheaters..I hate you..I hate you disgusting coward..”I yelled at Arnold..
“Babe please let me say something..I was drunk..”I didn’t let him finish the statement before cutting in.
“You were drunk..you never ever drink..alcohol Arnold..what have you turned your self into…you being drunk doesn’t mean you should be kissing another woman..being drunk doesn’t justify your action..Arnold..what does she have that I don’t..?”
“At least she’s a real woman..not like you who couldn’t put to bed for 10 years of marriage..”Mama cuts in..
“Mom..stay out of this..”Arnold warns his mother..as I just leave their midst..I can’t handle this feeling of pains in my heart anymore..have been hurt and the worse part of it is they are right..I can’t give birth..to a child..
Arnold’s POV
“You planned all these didn’t you..?”I yelled angrily at my mother..
“Of course not..why would you think I’ll do that..c’mon..now my son..I wasn’t the one who told you to get drunk..so don’t you blame me for your actions..”Mama says..
“Then explain to me how Olamma showed up in my room.. because the last time I checked..no one was in this house apart from the both of us..”
“Just forget about all these..the deed has already been done.. there’s no need to beat around the bush..if you want to save your stupid drowning marriage then go apologize to your wife..ugh..that’s if she ll ever forgive you..”Mama says walking out on me….
I just hope Abby understands..I didn’t mean for any of these to happen..I just pray she believes what I tell her..I fucked up..i should have trusted Abby..it’s clear Mama is behind all these..that means Abigail was right all along.. Mama is going to do anything to separate I and my wife but I won’t let her succeed..
Jealousy can make one kill..will frank do anything stupid??
Abby is heartbroken..will she forgive her husband???
Naomi is out of marriage..let’s see if she’ll find true love…
