Chapter Three
Abigail’s POV
“You can’t be serious about this mama..”I say..this is unbelievable..I never thought mama would go to this extent to separate me from her son..but I won’t let that happen though..it’s high time I teach this woman a lesson..
“Of course I’m serious..do I look like I’m joking..you’re the last person I want to joke around with..just accept it and leave my son alone..”
I collected the cheque smiling at mama as I stand up from my sit..I tear the cheque right in front of her as I flinged it on the floor.
“What..what..how dare you..?”Mama says.. practically yelling.
“You think money can keep me away from my husband?no..mama..my love for Arnold is indescribable and I’m not going to let you ruin our marriage..”
“What marriage..you don’t have a marriage because you are nothing but an incapable woman..”
“That’s enough..I’m sick and tired of your insults..I have had enough..now get out of my face and never come back..get out right now..”
“Oh..you missed a wonderful opportunity..I can make you rich..”
“I’m not interested in your money..now get out..before I call the securities to come throw you out..”I say angrily..I cannot control my anger anymore..
“Have always known you’re a disrespectful woman..you just try to act all nice..but don’t you worry..sooner or later..your dear husband my son..is going to find out your true colors..”
“Out..!!”I yelled as she exits..my office..
“Bimpe.. bimpe..”Just then Bimpe rushed in.
“Madame..”
“You see that woman..I don’t want her here anymore..don’t ever let her in my office..again..I want you to inform the security guards too..”I command as Bimpe nods her head before leaving…
I can’t stand that woman..if it’s fight she wants then I’ll give it to her..that’s enough insults..my phone beeps and it’s a text from my group chats with my friends.. angel just informed me to meet up at nao place.

Naomi’s POV
“Happy birthday to you..happy birthday to you..happy birthday dear nao..happy birthday to you…ππΎπ·”My three beautiful angels sings to me as I smiled at them..they even bought me a birthday cake..I’m so glad and grateful to have such wonderful friends like these three..
“Hip hip hip.. hurray..”Abby says as she popped the champagne…
“Thank you so much guys..thank you..”I say..
“May God bless you this new age..”Jessie says.
“Amen..”I answered..
“Enjoy life to the fullest babe.. happy new age..”Angel says.
“Thanks babe..”I replied
“May God protect you and fulfil all your dreams..”Abby says as we all echoed amen together..
“Alright..let’s cut the cake..”I suggests.
“We have a gift for you..”Abby says.
“A gift? you guys bought me a cake.. and now a gift..?”
“It’s your birthday..and we are here to spoil you.. here’s it”Angel says giving me the huge parcel..
“What is it?”I asked..
“Open it…”Jessie says.
“Let’s see..”I gradually unwrapped the gifts and I’m shocked at what I saw..A laptop..
“You guys..you bought me a laptop..?”
“Yes..don’t you like it?”Abby says..
“Of course I love it..it’s just.. wouldn’t it have costed you too much..girls..these is amazing..”I say.
“We know you needed it so that’s just the perfect gift for a birthday woman like you..”Angel says..
“You deserve all these and more..nao..we love you..”Jessie says
“You guys are the best..you don’t know how grateful I am for this..thank you so much..thank you..”
I say as they all pulled me in for a hug..
We all sit at the dining room eating the cakes and wine..
“Can you imagine..my mother in law really stooped so low this time..”Abby says..
“What did she do this time?”I asked..
“She offered me money to leave my husband alone..”
“That’s the most dumbest thing have ever heard..how could she..?”Angel asked
“She really stooped low..”Jessie says.
“I don’t know what to do girlfriends..have seen all the doctors in the world and they told me there’s no problem..I wonder why I can’t put to bed..”Abby says.
“Oh my friend.. don’t worry God will bless you with a child..”I say..
“Amen..so where’s little Ana?”Abby asked .
“Her dad is picking her up today…thank God you guys bought me this laptop..I can now start my stories..again..”
“When are you going to tell us what you’re writing about though?”Angel asked.
“Soon you’ll find out..”I say..
“I’ll really love to stay longer but I have to go girls.. I’ll see you tomorrow..”Abby says as she kissed us goodbye before leaving…
Abigail’s POV
As soon as I got home..no one is at home and I thank God..at least some peace for once..in my life..few minutes later after settling into the house my husband arrived..
“Honey..you cannot imagine what your mother did today..”I say..
“Yeah yeah..she told me already..how could you..Abby..how could you do such a thing??”Arnold asked me and I’m very confused right now
“How could I..I don’t understand..”I asked.. moving closer to him.
“Don’t.. just stay away now..I can’t believe you’ll disrespect my mother like that..”
“Will you please let me explain myself..let me say something..”
“I don’t want to hear it..you kicked my mother out of your boutique? why?why did you do that..she’s my mother you know?”
“Oh..she already told you but she didn’t tell you the full story.. Arnold your mother offered me money to leave you”
I saw confusion in Arnold’s eyes the minute I told him..
“What??”Arnold asked..
“You heard me honey..your mother came to my boutique to bribe me into leaving you..she even promised to give me half of her property so we can separate..”
“No..no..my mother cannot do such..I know she might be very annoying but she can’t..I refuse to believe you..”Arnold says..
“You think I’ll lie to you about this kind of situation..come on Arnold.. I’m telling you the truth..she offered me a cheque..you have to believe me..!”
I say moving more closer as Arnold stepped backwards..he didn’t say anything..he just left the house in silence..
“Arnold..Arnold..my love..”I called him back but he doesn’t answer..
I cannot believe this is happening to me..this cannot be happening right now..
Angel’s POV
“Where have you been..?”Is the first thing Frank says the minute I stepped into the living room..
I have come home to rest because tomorrow I’ll be going to my Gym..I’m a Gym instructor and I own a physical fitness company.. Frank is helping me to manage it..though I stopped going there due to Frank’s new attitude of jealousy but tomorrow I’ll be resuming..
“I went out to see my friend..today’s Naomi’s birthday..”I explained as I sit down beside him..
“I’m sorry..”Frank says..
“You’re sorry about what?”I asked..
“I’m sorry for treating you like this..I know I shouldn’t be acting this way and I promise from no onwards I won’t bother you anymore..”Frank says .
“Hmm..thank God.. you’ve finally come back to your senses..is there anything at home?”I asked..
“There’s some spaghetti I made but there are no eggs..”
“Okay I’ll go get the eggs at the store..be right back..”I say..as I kissed frank on the head before leaving.
Yes..my husband is back to his normal self..I’m so glad to see him calm now..oh Lord thank you..the store isn’t that far from the house so I decided to trek..I enjoyed the cool breeze of the evening until I finally get to the store..the minute I opened the door I bumped into someone..Mark..
“Heyy angel..”He says..
“Mark..”
“It’s so nice to see you again..”Mark says pulling me in for a hug..
“Yeah me too..”I say pulling away from him as I see mark staring around me..like he’s scared..
“What..what are you looking for?”I asked
“Just wanted to be sure if your husband came with you..I don’t want him breaking my neck again..”
“Oh don’t worry..my husband isn’t like that anymore..he realized his mistakes and he’s changed..”
Frank’s POV
I don’t feel comfortable without angel here..I just don’t know why it’s so hard for me to trust her..maybe is because she’s too beautiful and all the guys might want to steal her from me.. control yourself.. control yourself frank..I said to myself but it doesn’t work..that’s it..I grabbed the keys to my car as I headed out to the store..
I know the store she went to so it isn’t hard for me to find her..the only thing is I don’t want her knowing I’m spying on her..
I parked at the entrance of the store..but in a hidden place where she wouldn’t notice me as I watched the people who comes in and out of the store..
She only went to buy eggs so I wonder why she hasn’t showed up yet..I didn’t remove my eyes from the door until I found angel..she comes out first and I’m pissed at the person I saw her hugging..isn’t that her friend.. Mark??
Angel’s POV
“Alright I have to go now..are you following this way?”I asked mark..
“Yeah..I brought my ride..if you want I can drop you off at your place..”Mark says but I really don’t want him to get himself in any trouble with my husband..
“No..don’t worry..I’m fine like this.. I’ll see you later then..”
“Hey..you didn’t call me..don’t tell me you misplaced my contact..”Mark says..
“Uhm..well..maybe..I did..”
“Oh come on angel..”
“I’m sorry but my husband saw the number and he was very angry..I didn’t know where I put it..but it’s fine..you can give me now…”I say giving mark my phone..
He quickly dialed his number and saved it immediately..
“Good..then.. well see you later..”He says..
“Bye then..”I say as I watched him leave..I turned to continue my journey home and I was startled when a car stopped in front of me..
“Hey watch it..”I yelled at the person in the car until I saw the person get down..Frank!!
“Frank..?”
“What..aren’t you happy to see me..?”Frank says coming closer.
“Where you following me?”I asked..
“And what makes you think I’ll do that?”
“Nothin..what are you doing here?”I asked..
“I just came to check on you..what.. can’t I check on my wife again..?”Frank’s says..
“Okay..let’s just go..”I say as we both went into the car….
The Following Morning π
Naomi’s POV
“Here’s your food my darling..”I say placing yam and fried eggs on the table for Ana..
Today’s Saturday and it’s a relaxing day..I just finished cleaning the house so I made something for my sweetheart..nelson hasn’t come home since last night and I didn’t bother..he is grown up and he can take good care of himself..I’m sick and tired of worrying too much..
“Looks yummy mummy..thank you..”Ana says already digging in..
“Hey..have you said your prayers?”
“No..I’ll pray..”
Ana prayed a short prayer while I went to the kitchen to serve my self..I joined her the dining room..
“How’s it?”I asked her..
“Delicious..hey mummy..where’s dad?”Ana asked..
“He went to work..he ll be back soon..”I say..
“Hmm.. that’s weird..mummy..I don’t want daddy picking me up from school again..”Ana says as I stopped eating.
“Why..is that..did daddy do anything to you?”I asked..
“No..it’s not daddy..it’s is weird girlfriend..daddy came to pick me up with a weird woman.. yesterday..”
“So tell me..how does the woman look like?”I asked.. curiously..
“I don’t know…she had too many lipstick and make up on and she was dressed completely n***d..I don’t like her one bit..”
“Ok..don’t worry..I’ll pick you up from school okay..?”
“Thanks mom..”
I’m really worried about what Ana just told me..she’s just seven years old and I know she might not understand somethings but I’m certain she’s smart enough..my baby is very sharp..but I don’t get it..I need to get to the bottom of this..
I dropped by at Abigail’s place and begged her to please watch over Ana for a while before leaving for Nelson’s office..i don’t know if it’s the right thing to do but I have to do it..
Nelson’s POV
“That was.. incredible..”I say as Jennifer pulled away from me..this woman is fantastic..how come did I not realize this earlier..she’s my secretary at work and here we are in my office having the best time of our lives.. Though I should have gone home last night but Jenni convinced me into staying..I’m trying to look for the perfect lie to tell Naomi now..
“Yes..I’m glad you enjoyed it..it’s just I’m worried..”Jennifer says wearing her clothes..
“Worried about what?”I asked..
“about your daughter..are you sure she isn’t going to tell your wife you and I went to pick her up from school?”
“Oh come on..my daughter is still a little girl..she’s 7..she doesn’t know anything about all these and even if she tells nao..mi..nao won’t believe her..you know why?”I asked..
“Why?”
“Because she’s foolish that’s why..”I say..
“I’m not so sure about that though.. women are very smart..”Jenni says .
“Not Naomi.. Naomi is just a spoilt lazy brat..that’s why I refuse to let her work because she can’t do anything right..”I say getting up from the couch I was laying..I’m dressed in my boxers and singlets..I hugged Jenni kissing her on the neck..
“Enough about Jessica..why don’t we go for another round?”I suggest .
“Hmm..you don’t get tired of s*x..do you..i need to leave here before someone catches us..”
“No..one is going to catch us.. please just one more and I’ll let you go..”I pleaded..I can’t get enough of her and her silence tells me she wants me too..
Naomi’s POV
“Where can I find Mr Nelson Ene?”I asked the receptionist of the hotel as she points a spot where the secretary supposed to be at..
Have only been here once..but I don’t remember nelson having any secretary that time.
“Thank you..”I say to the young woman as I headed to where she pointed at..
Surprisingly there’s no one..at the table.. there’s no need waiting for the secretary then..after all nelson is my husband..I have the right to see him anytime I feel like…I walked straight to the door in front of me as I heard strange noises coming from the door..that’s weird.. thankfully the door wasn’t that locked so I barged in and I’m startled at what I found.. another lady on top of my husband..I just stood there staring at them and still shocked until they both noticed my presence..
“Nao..what are you doing here?”he asked quickly getting up from the lady’s body as I just run out of the office….I cannot see this anymore..no..this cannot be true..no..no God..why me..no..!!!
