I started cleaning and singing at the same time, but gabriel kept parabulating going in and out. i smiled pretending not to notice him.
“why will you even accept this type of work in the first place? how much are you told will be paid huh?.” he asked and i didn’t answer. cynthia! i’m talking to you!.” he shouted behind me.
“ohh’ oga sorry i didn’t hear you.” i answered pretending not to hear him at first.
he fumes up as if about exploding and hit the wall behind me in annoyance and went inside.
“I nor hear you na, abu watin dey happen sef?.” i said going after him.
I knocked his door and he didn’t answer.
“I’m sorry please.” i said in a calm voice and still no response. boss, i know i was wrong for listening to song using earpiece while working, i won’t do that again, just forgive me.” i kept begging standing behind the door.
He opened the door as i moved away standing remorseful, he looked at me shaking his head.
“i think speaking this way will be better than your pidgin because it seems your senses are always intact and cool while speaking fluently than pidgin.” he said.

“you have started again right.” he asked and rolled my eyes starring at him.
“okay, fine i’m sorry but you can’t change my interaction so, it is how you relate with me that will determine my response.” i answered.
he looked at me for a while and smiled.
“you know what, you’re actually stubborn but i will manage you like that.” he said as i interrupt him immediately.
“Manage who? abeg if na play just stop am! do i look like beverage that you will manage.” i answered looking angry.
“it’s okay, because i can see that you are about to start again, infact i don’t know why you decided to come work in my house to stress my life.”
“So, are you saying i’m troublesome.” i asked a its he closed his door.
“When you finish your work just go please!.” he answered from within.
“I will be sleeping here tonight.” i shouted banging his door.
“You dare not!!.” he answered shouting aggressively.
“Na joke abeg ooo.” i answered him jokingly.

“Why have you not been picking my calls.” anita asked.
I told her i didn’t pick it intentionally because i don’t want stress that she should just a way to deal with her issue with vero. she started crying and pleading that i shouldn’t do that to her that she only sees me as her only helper because reporting to the police at this time might complicate issues. i responded that she shouldn’t call me again and ended the call. i blocked her number in annoyance.
“I don’t want to have anything doing with you again, infact just go to he ll!!.”
I called florence and told her what just happened she then said i made a good decision that the next thing to do is relocating elsewhere so that she won’t come over to look for me. i don’t know how glad i’m right now because of florence, she has been my helper, my adviser and a sister right from time and exactly what she’s still doing.
“Thanks babe.” i said happily over the phone.
“Should i tell gabriel father to help you out with a house?.” she asked.
“habba! don’t ooo abeg i will get one myself.” i answered not liking the idea.
“Okay, no problem. but just take care of yourself and mom.” she said.

she asked suddenly that i didn’t even hint her about my first day at work as we both laughed. i told her everything as she laughed at every single word.
“Cynthia, you be correct babe aswear π you want to be giving my nephew back to back.
“Me i don’t have time na, as he give me na do i go give am back.” i said as we laughed continuously.
“Please don’t stop your pidgin ooo make sure you victimized his life to the extent he will adapt to cleanliness and little dirtiness.” she said.
“Of course na you no trust me.” i answered laughing.
“Wait ooo how about vero have she called you?.” she asked.
“Yes she did but i screened her calls infact i have blocked her contact.” i answered in an annoyance voice.
“Better oooo but always be at alert ooo at gabriel house so that she won’t caught you there “. she said.
“it’s true, i will take precautions to that, thanks babe..” i will call you later okay, my card as finished.” i said.
“Ehya! no problem na.
“Take care.” i said and ended the call.

She looked at her phone continuously why seated with judge and others.
“it think she has blocked me, my calls keeps dropping.” she said looking sarcastic.
“I hope she hasn’t figured out about you.” sophia said.
“Figure about me how?.” she asked confusingly.
“Like, maybe…. infact i don’t even know likewise, i’m just trying to think through.” sophia answered.
“You know what, you’re going to work out something for me.” vero said looking at judge.
“What is that?.” judge asked.
“I want you to check her background details for me, she thinks she can pretend knowing nothing about what i discussed with her that day to me hahaha she doesn’t know i’m way smarter than that.” she said.
“I noticed it that day too, you know after she left i told you that she might not come back again and exactly what is happening.” judge said.
“If she thinks she’s smart i will prove to her that i’m more smarter. i know she cherished her mother a lot, well let work on her movement first to really know why she distance herself from me.” vero said and walked around judge room thinking on how to start the task.
Sophia stood up immediately in exclamation.
“Ha! a thought just came through me now!.” she said looking at all of them.

“Who knows maybe she had talked to gabriel about something, because you never can tell what might have really occurred when she was talking to gabriel that day.” sophia said.
“Hmm’ gabriel you say, i don’t think it will be possible because gabriel can’t even like her type of person because of her dressing and messy hair.” Vero said debunking what sophia said.
“Don’t forget your brother had interest in her at first sight and that girl fine no be small.” judge said.
Vero stamped her leg on the floor repeatedly while grumbling.
“what do you guys actually mean?!!!.” she screamed out angrily.
