SISTER ADURAGBEMI

Part 1.

“How many times will I tell you to abort this pregnancy?” she heard a voice coming from the pastor’s office.

“The voice is like that of the pastor. Maybe, it is a member’s voice. I guess it should be Bro Tayo’s voice.” Adura concluded within herself.

“But who truly owns that voice?” Adura asked no one in particular as she was very close to the door.

It was a fantastic Sunday worship service. Fantastic in the sense that they all felt the power of God.

As usual, Sunday is a special day where people wear special outfits to the presence of God. But, that Sunday was special.

As Sister Joy led them in the praise and worship section, people began to roll on the floor.

Adura opened her eyes to verify if her eyes were seeing double. But to her greatest surprise, she met her biological sister, rolling on the floor.

In fact, Joy was in another realm. She actually touched heaven because she was on her knees, sweeting profusely and weeping.

“Why are people really charged? Why are people rolling on the floor? Why are people blasting in tongue?” Adura asked no one in particular.

A tide of confusion washed over her. Well, maybe due to the fact that she didn’t feel any thing in her spirit. Tongue wasn’t coming forth. She tried to force it. It wasn’t coming forth.

Her mind became restless.

” Or, is this church being dominated by another spirit from the kingdom of darkness?”

She just couldn’t fathom what the problem was.

“Or, am I dead spiritually?” She asked herself again.

Well, maybe her wheel chair was a huge hindrance.

How would she roll on the floor because many people are rolling on the floor?

As she was still processing things in her mind, someone whispered something to the person beside her.

“Aren’t we going to roll on the floor just as others are doing so that people will not think we are children of the devil. Let’s just join them since they are rolling on the floor.”

They both began to roll on the floor.

Adura just couldn’t help but laugh so hard that people heard her.

Many people thought she was insane.

” Woman, mind yourself. Remember you are in the presence of God.” A woman who had been speaking in tongues beside Adura corrected her when she heard her laughing. Immediately after the correction, the woman continued speaking in her only God- -knows-tongue.

Everything irritated Adura.

“Hypocrites!!!!!!” She shouted and hissed immediately.

If some people were really in the spirit realm, how would they notice her laughter.

After Joy’s powerful praise and worship section, the pastor mounted the pulpit.

Imagine! Beautiful outfits became dirty.

It was as if Adura was the only odd man out. She wasn’t stained with dirt.

“I can perceive the presence of God in this church.” Pastor Bayo said as he began to speak in tongue.

Before Adura could say jack, almost everyone began to speak in tongue.

Funny enough, Adura didn’t feel anything. She felt so dry.

“Lord, revive my life. Work on me. I need to also blast in tongue like these people.” She cried.

After thirty minutes, pastor continued his message.

During the prayer section too, people began to fall under anointing.

Adura became more confused.

She had thought of leaving the church, because everything that happened that day looked so strange. But she decided to stay back since she intended having a talk with the pastor after service.

Finally, the service came to an end.

You could imagine the joy that flooded her heart when she heard “let us share the grace in unison.”

As she was sharing the grace, she was using one hand to pack her things and the other hand to beckon to her sister to be at her side. At the same time, she was using her eyes to scan everyone present in the church.

People began to leave one by one. Her sister had rush down to meet someone.

Adura was left all alone.

She decided to wait for her sister before setting out to the pastor’s office.

Apart from that, many people do visit the pastor after service. So, she wanted to allow others to see the pastor.

As she sat, many things came to her mind.

She just couldn’t fathom what was wrong.

After some minutes, she discarded the thoughts that kept on flowing in her mind about the service.

She remembered the nightmare she heard, immediately worry etched on her face.

That was actually the reason why she wanted to see the pastor, although she could barely remember what transpired in her dream. But, she just wanted the pastor to pray for her.

After one hour, she went straight to the pastor’s office. Her sister thought of following her to the pastor’s office but she wasn’t in full support.

Her sister accompanied her to a particular point and stopped following her.

“I will be here, waiting for you. Do quick and don’t keep a lady being tortured by hunger, waiting for long.” She said.

As Adura drew so close to his office, she heard a male’s voice.

The moment she heard “abortion”, a headache began to tug at the back of her head.

She remembered the death of her immediate sister as a result of the abortion she committed.

Well, she had committed abortion more than four times according to what one of her friends told her family.

She was such a promiscuous lady. She was a thorn in mum’s flesh. Mum tried everything she could do to get Adura’s sister free from the web of immortality but all her efforts were futile.

After committing the sixth abortion, she was rushed home. Her family members didn’t know she had committed abortion. They were only told that she felt sick in the school and thought of bringing her home for proper medical attention.

Her health degenerated. She was rushed to the hospital. It was at the hospital that the bombshell was released.

A quack doctor aborted the pregnancy for her.

Doctor Richard tried all he could do to sustain her life, but at a point, she began to bleed.

To cut the story short, Adura’s sister gave up the ghost. She bled to death.

Her death affected everyone in the family.

She prayed in her head to had heard the wrong information

She wouldn’t wish her greatest enemy what her sister passed through.

She knocked at the pastor’s door, there was no response.

She had no choice than to enter.

Immediately she entered, she couldn’t believe what she saw.

What did she see?

What happened?

To be continued.
