THE DRUMMER GIRL

EPISODE 1
“Kehinde the Drummer girl!” the people screamed running to her as soon as she stepped out of her car, other people joined forming a crowd around her. Kehinde and her twin sister were born to the family of Mr & Mrs. Ariyo in the 1990s. They were from Oyo state but based and grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. Kehinde started drumming at age 6. She furthered by studying music in school while her twin sister studied Law.
Kehinde was the social type while her sister; Taiwo was the quiet one, she was hardly seen except when she had court cases. Kehinde was not only known for her social life but for her skillful way of playing the talking drum. She has won so many awards and endorsement deals.
“Kehinde the drummer girl” the crowd hailed her, some journalists took the opportunity to ask her some questions
“Miss Omokehinde, can you tell us more about your forthcoming concert,” one of the Journalist asked
“I don’t have much to say about that, the flyers are everywhere, the ground is open for free entry so I’m expecting everybody to be there”
“Hey..!” The crowd cheered her up.
“We hope your twin sister will be coming to the concert,” they asked
She frowned her face “I cannot assure that, that is left for her to decide”
“Is it true, that you two are dating the same man?”
“Excuse me” she didn’t reply, she made her way to the supermarket, the journalist followed her.
“Who is Richard Wills?” They asked repeatedly
This time she headed back to her car and drove off. A particular newspaper caught her attention on the walkway, she packed to read
“When did I do all these things they are accusing me of, Is there a part of me that I don’t know, imagine; “the popular drummer; Omokehinde now in police custody for duping a fan the sum of 1billion naira” she hissed “Why are they doing all this to me, but why? And people who saw me 2mins ago will still believe this nonsense, he threw the newspaper away and continued driving”
Suddenly, she noticed a car was following her. “God, who are they? I cover myself with the blood of Jesus”, she prayed fearfully, increasing her speed. After hours of reckless driving, the car finally met up with her. It was Richard Wills and his boys.
