**My Tomato Jos**
Episode 9.
It was very exicting working with my student teachers, they made the work easy for me, I also made sure that I monitored them while they taught. It was a wonderful experience, the students were improving gradually, even Okon who seem to be the dumbest at first was now improving at a speedy and High rate. I was so happy.
As for Caroline, I continued going to her house to take her on speech tutorials. One evening after the tutorial, her parents were not around and I was already planning to leave.
Caro: Can I hug you??
Me: sure.
The hugging lasted longer than our usual hugging, the still holding me tight.
Caro: Do you love me? ( I have always wanted to tell her how I felt about her, how I sleep dreaming about how also about the joy and peace she brings to my soul any time I see her but I could not because I was her teacher, having a relationship with her would not be good. I could not control my feelings for her, it seems to grow, enveloping my soul each day).
Me:( looks at her face) My tomato Jos, for the felt day I met you, my life have not been the same, You bring Joy to my soul, your pleasant smell is what I crave for daily, my day would not be complete if I do not see you. People might say love at first sight do not exist, but I fell in love with right from the first day, I love you dear.
Caro: ( tears circled round her eye waiting to fall) What took you so Long?? Why did you have to leave the space In my heart for you Vacant all this while??
Me: My tomato Jos, My princess, the one I cherish most, the one who takes away my pain and grief replacing them with joy and happiness. You have always been in my heart. I never wanted to make wrong impressions on You since I was your teacher, I did not want any problems that was why.
Caro: ( The tears drop slowly) But they say loves do not care. Love do not care about religion, tribe or racism. Love do not care about what the people says or feels. Love springs up and take its place in your life without caring about what people think or says. So if you love me do not bother about them.
Me: I love you dearly, I promise to make you the queen of my life, the chair leader of all my fantasies, My hope my joy, my happiness, with you I would build my tomorrow.
Caro: ( crying) I love You soo much
I had wanted to live but this incident was so sweet and emotional to live just in a hurry, so I stayed a bit , we then chatted.
Caro: How old are you
Me: 25 and You ( I sat on the sofa while she sat on the floor in between my legs while I played with her hair)
Caro: 20
Me: what!! 20 yrs old in Jss3
Caro: ( angry) are you mocking me or what
Me: No my tomato Jos, love of my life, the one i cherish most, Never I can not mock you.
Caro: (smiles) I started school late, because of lack of funds, I am the last born and only girl, we are four children, all my elder brothers are in Lagos.
Me: Wow!!, Today is a new beginning in our lives, I love you dear.
Caro: I love you too, my cherry.
Me: ( laughs) is it cherry you want to be calling me now instead of Uncle.
Caro: Yes of course, ( she slapped my laps and bit it while I played with her hair, I never wanted the moment to end, but it ended.)
