You may think your life is the hardest, the darkest and at the lowest of all valleys.
Everything may seems like the toughest patches, whenever it seemed so, it’s the perfect time to be stronger and determined. Life has been cruell from the beginning, the weak are always at the receiving ends of the punishing sticks. To survive in the tough world, you need to learn to be tougher and enduring. The world or its people won’t give you a chance or a space to stand, you need to stand your ground and take your chances. It’s a bitter world but with the hope that we have never lost, tomorrow will be sweeter than dreams we had dreamt as kids.

On the way home from the police station, Fidelis and Samuel were silent, they was grave silence in the car as thousand thoughts ran through their minds. Samuel was swamped with thoughts of what would happen to him if Fidelis decides to abandoned him. The truth was, Samuel was lost in the thick forest of life. He was young and traumatised to know how to navigate through his ways. Fidelis on the other hand was deadd worried about what steps or decision to take next regarding Samuel. He had never been so confused in his entire life. Abandoning a child who cried that his parents were killedd by some unknown men seemed too cruell but keeping him seems impossible too, especially that he was set to leave the country soon. He had worked so hard for that relocation papers.

It is been six months since Mr Idoko was killedd. Since his assassinatiion, Mr Jege and his men had turned the country upside down but couldn’t find Samuel. After so much efforts, he decided to believed that he didn’t survived the particular night of nightmares. Two weeks ago, the BEICO CONSTRUCTION LIMITED chairman fell sick and was hospitalised, they was great uproar in the company and Mr Jege mechanised all his political powers and connection to win favour. The chairman knew he wasn’t going to survived the sickness, he knew it was his time and considering the kind of lifestyle his adopted son was living, he knew it would be a total disaster if he entrusted him the chairmanship of the company. The chairman actually knew how sneaky Mr Jege was but at that moment, he was the only option especially that he had used money to changed others opinions of him.

Three days after the chairman was hospitalised, he called a board of directors meeting and declared Mr Jege the new chairman of the BEICO CONSTRUCTION LIMITED. Jege’s happiness knew no bounds, finally he had satisfied his ambitious and desperate quest. He turned the company upside-down by hosting the directors and every stakeholders to a five star feasts.

Donald, Clara and Joseph were Mr Jege’s three children. Donald was the first born, just two years older than Samuel while Clara and Joseph were twins, four years younger than Donald. To Mr Jege, touching a single strand of his children’s hair was as equal to gouging out his own eyes. He loved his kids so much and showered them with the greatest love ever. He enrolled them in grade A schools, their future were his priorities. As time passes, he gradually forgot who Samuel was or his existence. He became busy with running the company and raising his children. Mr Jege’s aim towards Donald his first son was to raised him into a responsible adult who will eventually become the head of the BEICO CONSTRUCTION LIMITED. Each day that came, he groomed Donald and made sure the people saw his preferences towards him. Naturally, Donald was a bright and calm child so his natural demeanour already won the heart of the top executives. They looked up to Donald as the hope and the future of the company after his father.

When the BEICO first chairman who was the founder of the BEICO CONSTRUCTION LIMITED was about taking his last breath, he pleaded with Mr Jege to put in his efforts in raising the company’s reputation to the highest standards. He also requested of him to returned the company’s leadership to his adopted son whenever he became mature and start taking the affairs of the company serious but to Mr Jege, such words were like chaffs thrown to the wind, they’re valueless. Since he assumed the position of the chairmanship of the company, he started preparing his own son to take over after him. They were few executives who were bluntly against his tactics but they weren’t powerful enough to challenge him openly.

Five years after the deathh of the chairman, Richard, his adopted son began to see the truth of reality. He realised he had disappointed his father who provided and gave him everything despite not been his real son. Richard started developing great interest in the day to day affairs of the company and this new hobby of his irked Jege so much. He doesn’t want a contender, a competitor that would fight his son whenever he retired or diedd. He began to device means to clip Richard’s wings before it grew beyond control.
