Stepping down from the plane at the airport, Samuel took a deep breath filled with nostalgia. It was on that soil, in his father’s own country that he was killedd years ago and like a useless rag, the case was swept under the carpet. At the same time, Samuel felt a certain kind of unexplainable relive. He was finally back after so long and this time, he wasn’t back as that same weakling boy who was helpless, hopeless and trampled upon. He came as a man who was strong enough to avenge his parents deadd.
Rose was at the airport waiting for her boss arrival. She was supposed to be happy that he was finally back into the country but Rose was already infested with affection towards Donald but if it wasn’t Samuel, she might not have been alive to see a young man as Donald.
Years ago, Rose had borrowed money from some loan sharks in the suburbs of Canada to take care of a very pressing urgent needs after she was heartlessly abandoned by the family that adopted her. When she couldn’t repaid the loan, she was chased and threatened day and night. Her life was a total wreck and a mess she wasn’t able to put together. One afternoon after running away from her creditors for over a month, she was captured at a train station. Samuel was at the train station that afternoon and he saw the facial expressions on Rose. He knew immediately something was off about the whole thing so he secretly followed them to a lonely apartment. After contemplating for a minute about his own safety, he decided to go in after sending his father the address of the places.
“Hahahaha!!, look at you, pretty young lady. So, in your little black heart, you think you can take my money away freely?” The man with a long whisker snorted as he touched Rose on the cheek while on her knees. “Please, give me sometimes, i will pay you your money!!” Rose pleaded but the man laughed hysterically like a possessed ghost who already lost his soul. “You think you can play me twice?, don’t worry, they is an easy way to repay your debt. They is a young girl like you who is in need of a kidney transplant urgently. From our findings, you’re likely to be a good match !. One kidney of yours in repayment of your debt” the man said cruellyy without any ounce of guiltiness. “Take her in” he ordered but Samuel voice surprised and stopped them. “Hahahaha oh so, you came with your boyfriend!? The man who seemed like the boss asked mischievously as he ordered his boys to drop their gunss. “I’m not here for troubles, i don’t know her but at the train station, i suspected a foul and suspicious movement by these rascals and decided to follow behind. As a matter of fact, i heard everything and i have already sent a message out. Release her and go away before the police reaches here!!” Samuel said bodily without any signs of fears. “Young man, i have been in this business years before you must have been born. I have seen the policemen fell to my bullets and i have buried several of my men too but guess what?. I’m still alive so, shut up before i blow your fuckking head up” the boss said with a gritted teeth. Anger was greatly welling up in him already. “I will pay the money she owns so we both go our separate ways without the involvement of the police or anyone’s bloodd” Samuel said and his words pleased the boss. Truth was, the boss knew the kind of trouble he would be in if the police got involved, Samuel made the transfers of the money and he was given Rose without a scratch to her body. Since that day, they became friends. At first, Rose thought Samuel was going to have romantic feelings towards her but time went by and all that developed between them was friendship and allegiance.
“Trust me with that responsibility, I’m always at your service. You saved me even when you didn’t know me, now is the time to repay you for your kindness ” Rose said with assurance as Samuel briefed her about his plans.
Rose was sluggish in welcoming Samuel, he noticed it immediately and wondered what was happening. Samuel can forgive anything but not a betrayal who hinders him from exacting revenge on his parents killerrs. “You’re acting strange, ain’t you happy to see me?” Samuel asked in the taxi but Rose comported herself and answered properly. How could she tell him that Donald had proposed to her and she accepted already. The same man she was specifically sent to monitor. How would she watch by doing nothing while Samuel destroys her man’s entire life?. She scratched her head disturbingly thinking of what to do but solution seems too far away.
