Some weeks later, Daniel’s younger sister, Sharon visited from the States. She was a very lovely lady, beautiful and gorgeous. She was always lively and easily accessible.
One day she came to me and said that she had something to tell me. I asked her what it is and she told me that she is a lesbian.
βLesbian what!β I was shocked at her revelation. I was mute for more than 5minutes, trying to process what she told me.
βDaniella, thatβs who I am, Iβm a lesbianβ
βThatβs not who you are, homosexual is evil, wicked and a sin. In fact it’s one of the sins that made God destroy Sodom and Gomorrahβ I explained. Did your family members knows about your sexuality?β I asked

βHow long do you plan on keeping it, or you will just walk up to them one day and tell them you are getting married to a woman?
βDaniella, I donβt plan on telling them. They wonβt consent to it, so thereβs no point tellingβ

The sound of the statement she altered disgusted me. How can one fall in love with a fellow woman.

Homosexual behavior can be conquered, as evidenced by many people who have completely given up the lifestyleβ
I quickly searched for some scriptures on my phone just to buttress my point. If homosexual behavior were thought to be inborn, Scripture would not have said;
βEven their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another.β (Romans 1: 26-27 )
The clear implication is that the homosexual acts were deliberate choices. If homosexual behavior were thought to be unchangeable, Scripture would not have said;
βAnd that is what some of you were [past tense]. But you have been washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.β (1 Corinthians 6: 11)
βAll these are written in the bible?β Sharon asked curiously.
βYes, So you see there is a way outβ I said. She nodded, I realized everything I said is getting to
her. I promise to always remember her in my prayers. I believe all things are possible with God.
βCan God really help me?β she asked
βOf course He can, once you believe and you are willing to let go this lifestyle. He said we should ask anything in His name and Heβll do itβ
βCan you fast?β I asked
βI canβt fastβ
βOf course you can, we are doing it together. And you have to be closer to God now and you need the Holy Spirit. Are you willing to let go?β
βYes, Iβm readyβ
βThen leave the rest to Godβ i said with all confidence.
I excused myself and went to the kitchen to fix us something to eat.
